  • It can be a lot of work, but well worth it! 100 lbs of chicken will turn into 20 pounds of shelf-stable food storage.

When my freeze dryer stops, I weigh each tray and record the weights. I put them back in the machine and dry for another two hours. I weigh them again and if the weights are the same, I package the tray. If not, I put them back in for another two hours. I’m a little paranoid when it comes to food that I hope to consume one day. 😊

love the fact that you guys are popping out the videos/actual tutorials.
really getting your name out there.
You might even want to eventually consider changing the channel name to "Blue Alpine"
that will really help people researching/searching for potential freeze dryers.

Thanks for the video. I've been doing a lot of research before buying my first freeze dryer. If i were to pre order the large unit now, what kind of wait time am i looking at?

You don’t need to freeze the chicken after cooking? Thanks, great vid

The freeze dryer will freeze it for you. Freezing it in the freezer first will speed up the whole process though. Great question
