Freeze Drying Eggs

- Steps and settings for 60 eggs:
-Blend them in a blender.
-Set the machine temperature to 115 to 120 degrees.
-Set the pressure limit between 600mTorr and 1200mTorr. (The higher the pressure the faster the cycle, but oil will need changing more often. Lower pressure means fewer oil changes, but the cycle will last longer.)
-Enjoy!

Eggs turn out so GOOD! getting my freeze dryer from you was the best thing ive bought in a LONG time. I LOVE that you always answer emails and take or return phone calls. I like the easy instructions and easy panel. this is THE freeze dryer to buy-----!!
Thank you for your support!
The trick about watching the pressure to know if freeze drying is complete is really worth highlighting.
Where do you see the pressure value? I agree this is a great fact to point out.
@@Sapphireleadershipadvisors On my Blue Alpine, once it is in the drying phase (versus freezing phase), there are four values next to the [PAUSE] button. The next to the bottom one is pressure in mTorr (milli Torrs)
Thank you. That is extremely helpful.
Thank you for your help. We recently purchased a large Blue Alpine Freeze Dryer because our chickens are laying about 10 eggs per day and we decided that rather than giving them away, which we tried to do, but couldn't give them away fast enough. We currently have over 600 eggs, 400 already mixed and frozen, and over 200 and gaining in one of our refrigerators. We will be following your advice on this video when freeze drying our eggs once we get our freeze dryer set up and start using it.
Thats a lot of eggs! feel free to reach out to us anytime if you have any questions
For the first time I paid attention to this number and we ran a load of sliced peppers for about 16 hours and I am not seeing the pressure dip below 300…it hovers at around 315. Does this mean it still has more to go?
I now have hundreds of freeze dried eggs. I hope I never have to use them. (if you know what I mean)
You will. I know what you mean
@@willijohnk6110 Yep. No one is coming, it's up to us.
we all know what you mean. 2020 taught us a lot.
I just ordered a large freeze dryer today. Will the software need to be updated on it? And do you use some kind of mat under the eggs while freeze drying?
Generally the software does not need updated on ever machine. It only needs updating when we find a bug but usually this is for specific machines. So generally no.
For eggs I like to use a mat under them. It helps them lift up a little better.
Do we get an email when the software gets up dated? Thank you!
@@AmberLuedtke-f9g If there is a major software update we will email you, then there are instructions on the website on how to apply the update to your machine.
@@AmberLuedtke-f9g Generally when we send out an update it is just on our website under the downloads page. Most of the time it is because a few machines are having a specific issue so we just help those people update their machines and it is not something that needs to be done on every machine. Hopefully that makes sense.
do you have impulse sealing machine?
We do carry the impulse sealers but I don't think they are listed on our site. But if you email us we can help you out.
