In the end I added a Termi silencer to the decat pipe. The result was a lower tone but probably just as loud in terms of decibels. I do love the sound but I admit that at times I wish it was about 10% less.
I did have to remap the bike, it was too lean at idle and that resulted in a lean surge and tons of lean backfire. I installed a Rapid Bike tuner but even with that it was too lean at idle. I contacted Rapid Bike and they told me that their automatic tuner doesn't start till 2800 rpm so it does nothing down low. So I went in and adjusted the fuel maps manually to richen the mixture from 2800 down and now it's perfect.

Did you end up adding a silencer. I am looking at a bike with the cat delete and it is too loud for me
