I think the dual zone is going to be what we need. While we don't drink wine daily, we do enjoy both red and white. I knew white should be chilled, but I didn't know room temp wasn't ideal for reds. Thanks!
Yes, that's a common misunderstanding. Some UK scientists recently published their findings - noticeable deterioration of quality was seen in only 6 months at room temperature. There's an article on wine storage guide dot com about it "Sorry Wine, Did I Do That To You?!" winestorageguide.com/wine-storage-temperature/
I'd like the Blue LED light to replace the 15 watt bulb I have in mine. Where can I get that? The temperature range for mine is 40 degrees fahrenheit at the lowest setting and 50 degrees at the highest setting so my Magic Chef must be a white wine cooler. I am going to buy another smaller wine cooler this Sunday but that one I will strip out and convert into a Tempeh Fermentation Incubator. I ordered the temp control and timer I need and need to order the heat tape the right width like would be used for a reptile heater. They are simple to build. There are incubator conversion videos on UA-cam with lots of info.
Hi, I live in a country that's hot and humid in the summer, but has cold winters. I'm thinking about buying a 12 bottle thermo electric cooler, but I understand that it's 10 degrees below the room temp. what happens if the room is very cold, does the cooler have a minimum temp. so it doesn't cool the wines too much?
Hi Tali - Thermoelectric coolers in general have the ability to maintain a precise temperature, both warming up and cooling down. The ability of any particular unit varies though, so it's not possible to give a blanket answer. You should ask the manufacturer of the unit you'd like to buy whether it will work within your temperature extremes.
Thanks! Heading over to the site now to take the quiz.

Hi friends - thanks for viewing our video and please let us know what wine storage subject you'd like to see us cover next.
How to choose a wine cooler is easy - choosing a wine fridge that you'll still be glad you bought in a year - not so much! We show you how.
