I work at Ocado CFC and I can tell you how orders are picked by machines and workers they are range from 30% to 90% automated. The Automated part is where and how the produce is moved to be picked. Ocado has 5 main ways of making stock avilibale to be picked by staff. 1 Workers use PPT and Reach trucks to load full pallets onto a automated crane that takes that pallet to the pick locations. Each stock item has its own location and workers walk from between 10 to 12 work stations with each having about 30 pick locations. the stock is put onto trays or totes to be moved by conveyors and lifts to its pick location. 3 Workers take stock from pallets and load into pick totes. The pick totes are moved on conveyer and lifts to work station. This is named OSR. 4 Trolly pick customer totes are moved and picked by workers using trollys. 5 The robotic system used in the most automated wearhouses. Stock is loaded into pick totes by workers which are loaded into the grid system, the robots pick from pick totes a selection of orders on the grid which are moved to work station to be picked. All options require a worker to actully pick and pack the totes that are sent and to customers. Ocdao technology habe experimental pick robots but are no where nere replacing human workers yet.

15:28 is that camera always there? So workers are constantly monitored? That's sick.
