china is for claiming the whole sea and for war ..
each country in asean moves according to their self interest and not the collective good of the region... we will never back down to any form of oppression and bullying of china. we will defend our territory and freedom may it be in waters, skies and land.
Didn't understand a single sentence from the HK professor. I doubt the host did either.
It seem so true will see at the end
ASEAN SEA PERSPECTIVE
ASEAN golden rule is peace. But who is disrupting the status quo?
China's grabbing and creating artificial military islands 100 nautical miles from ASEAN countries while thousand miles away from China. Are ASEAN not concern if their ships one day in the future are prohibited to navigate in the asean seas?
The US are striking deals with ASEAN but NEVER claims any island in our asean seas. I am not saying US is guilt free but China definitely is not innocent either.
Crazy how ASEAN desperately want attention from the U.S in the issue about HAMAS but they are silent when Russia take Ukraine, ASEAN itself is bias and no cridibility on calling out U.S against HAMAS.
Most of the SEA nations are pretty vocals against the invasion, what you talking about?
Dependent on demographic of respondents and how many are ethnic Chinese with nationalistic sentiment?
None.
The leverage of Chinese splashing RMB in the region benefiting vested interest business groups and the subversion of mass media especially social media plus the negativity of Hamas-Israeli conflict has impact on the sentiment of non-Christian countries, in particular Islamic.
The US commitment to Israel is really hurting us in Indonesia and Malaysia, we have to really re-think this, this is an opportunity for China to deflect from the Uyghur genocide, and the treatment of Uyghurs by SE Asia in general.
What Netanyahu has done to our friendship with Israel is beyond criminal, this guy needs to be in jail.
No genocide of the Uyghurs in China go yourself and have a look like i did stop running anti China propaganda. What friendship with isnotreal the only reason the governments accept them is because they will just bully us and try to destroy the country.
I would question the research validity
This survey belongs in the trash bin.
no child porn no sex with minors no illegal drugs and no illegal firearms in any nation or violence against women or children!!!!!!!!!!!
Did he take the survey in Indonesia too?
How credible is 🇸🇬 Singaporean-owned ISEAS after TikTok, Shein and Dali stories?
more credible than you and all of PH survey stations. Singapore is independent and educated go back to your uneducated rathole.
lol you are so sour~~~
For Philippines its Japan and the US. If other ASEAN wants China then go for it, its your choice.
More than half of the participants are Shymess! 😅 😂😢
Oh c'mon as if 0.5% is relevant 😂😂😂
No need to ask any rocket scientists, it's trade.
China's 8 dash lines became 9 dash lines and soon 10 dash lines, really strategically relevant to ASEAN
used to be 11 when China was under the KMT, who lost the civil war and fled to taiwan.
do you know these lines were claimed by former Chinese government (now on Taiwan island), go and read history
10 dash lies...
@@raymondcyq faked history...
@@raymondcyq yes, China as ROC under KMT officially claimed these small islands under the 11 dash line in 1947... Aside from Song to Ming dynasty claim
2000 participants out of 600M of ASEAN LOL😂😂😂
It was ok using the same number of participants when the numbers were tilting towards US?
Somebody thinks too much of Murika One World Order😂
If all the 600M takes the survey, the result would've been 80/20 in favor of China. It's good for Uncle Sam that only 2000 participated. 😂
go take a statistics class...
you just need 1000 people to get an accurate big picture view
this is how election results are polled and are known long before elections are concluded
They only interview people who has chinese descent 🤣
ASEAN has ALWAYS been with China 😁
Neither Vietnam, The Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and MOST others disagree with this !
Only Philippines u mean 😂
@@esy15288 NO..ALL of them, it is interesting how Indonesia is now anti Chinese too, when they originally opposed AUKUS but now are in favour of it because of Chinas' recent actions AND China's traditional ally, Vietnam, who is also now and ALLY of the USA because of China also bullying them. In fact , except for Myanmar and to some extent MAYBE Thailand, ALL of ASEAN now are becoming united against China, now imagine this, China spends hundreds of billion on its' military each year, ASEAN spends almost nothing by comparrison, but now is uniting agains China as China does not live up to treaties it signs ( Examples, Hong Kong and UNCLOS) and is the ONLY country on earth that provides WRITTEN threats to other countries, look what it TRIED to do to Australia, issuing a threat that Australia MUST agree to 14 things, which the Australians told China to go shove it up their ass, or what China does in the South China sea, or the threats it has given to Canada and the threats it gave to the British and is the REASON the British signed up to AUKUS...China builds more nuclear submarines each year the ALL other countries combined, builds MORE nuclear war heads and delivery weapons systems each year than ALL other countries combined, has outright THREATENED to nuke other countries.
nah, Philippines the only one who will be left behind without a chinese high speed railway. lol
@@KO-jl3mg What is really disagreeable is the dishonour that China brings with agreements it does not fufilf with treaties it does not honour and threats and petualance it gives. It is NOT the Chinese people but the CCP which is a terrorist, criminal organisation.
Singapore, the smartest country, as well as the most successful one in ASEAN, has been playing smart geopolitical balancing games between super powers for decades, for the maximum benefit of the country, without being squeezed and sacrificed as cannon fodder by the US or China.
Filipino people always look at the success of Singapore with envy, and wonder why they can't replicate the best practices in their homeland and why their country is still deeply trapped in US colony mentality without a clear way out.
Truth hurts. A smart leader plays smart geopolitical games and invites American and Chinese companies to build factories in order to generate jobs and increase revenue, while a clueless leader easily gets emotional like a kid, often is played by geopolitical players as chess pieces, invites foreign military to build bases in order to generate tensions and increase the risk of conflicts, and sacrifices the country's development and trade.
Japan and S. Korea can sit down for negotiations and cooperations, despite of their long time disputes over the sovereignty of the Liancourt Rocks in the sea between them. That is political wisdom and diplomatic maturity on full display.
Other countries such as China and the Philippines can definitely learn from S. Korea and Japan to manage their difference on South China Sea, Taiwan, MILF or whatever, and develop their relationship.
Now Even the leaders of Vietnam and Malaysia are much smarter, more resilient and pragmatic than P-Noy and BBM. Now the Philippines is the only ASEAN member that foolishly puts itself into current awkward position of either losing face or breaking stability in ASEAN.
Soon, even Laos and Cambodia will become richer than the Philippines. The Philippines will compare better than only Myanmar.
It's all about trade and war..and mostly about a war that might go on just a little more spark 🔥 most of ASEAN NATION don't like war and be involved in it..
Survey results is not representative.
Which survey in the past history is representative.
Wake up
What a bunch of liars! Singapore does not speak for the entire ASEAN!
Well maybe you can. Lol
Singapore is NOT pro Chinese, neither is any of ASEAN except maybe Myanmar ( a draconian, totalitarian dictatorship) and to some extent Thailand because it is basically a dictatorship as well BUT the ASEAN countries attempting to be democracies do NOT want China!

Exactly!!!! Need we say more?! Hahahahaha
Anziar understand Asean politics? Only his own bravado..LOL
the empire is in decline, it's clear to see.
Japan used to be number 2 and number one in Asia, now it’s the 4th and second in Asia. The European civilization and of the ancient near East used to rule the world, in the 19rh-20th century it’s the US, now it’s goin fro be the Asian Century…people are crazy to compare since time horizons are relative. 😮 and a cycle. For example the largest economy before the European Industrial Revolution was China and the Europeans colonized most Asia including China. Read history of the world which is evolving 😅
Some Asean countries would turn blind eye to China's behaviour in return of investments. Morally downright
That's what ASEAN also did for Western investment
☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
How about ASEAN blind about Chinese aggression?
This is bias,,,,dialogue,,,as long as there is a Chinese here representative here
Rubbish study. 🤣
I pity those people who would actually believe with these study.... a lot will be in for a big disappointment
Money diplomacy..if you are a friend..everything can be taken care of...Cambodia give their port to them in exchange for aid..Myanmar also for their minerals for yuan dollar..count every country in Asia...
In recent times, there are two types of aid or grants. One is for weaponry, where you're required to purchase from the lending country, and the other is for infrastructure development. ASEAN has opted for infrastructure investment over military equipment. ;)
@jtgan7202 I wonder what did the Philippines get from America for giving access to 11 of their military bases. 😂
Blame it on Genocide Joe.
Koi swimming in two river,
The fact that the business sector is a large part of the survey sample means they will prefer China because China enables them to be profitable ! Why not ask the average person ?

It is stupid to name a country superpower. A country cannot have superpower, superpower meaning it can change the course of fate in one second.

Obviously the survey didn't ask enough Vietnamese and Filipinos 🤣
No need to ask Vietnamese as they had 20 years war with US.
While Philippines had lost their sovereign right with US military base at their back yard
Whose cares whose side?😂 ASEAN is useless in west Philippines sea😂
What the Hell! People of each nation have to be strong and resilient! Cause in the end when war broke out to each his own! All others are Geopolitics, and in Politics there’s no permanent enemies and friends only permanent self interest k!
Sad for ASEAN. 'The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.' Winston Churchill
Lol.. You mentioned that war criminal?
Yes believe in the words of the English who robbed all the blessings from other countries to share for themselves and left equal sharing of miseries in the colonies.
ASEAN has no balls.
