gee - some of you guys are harsh... He's demo-ing the amp, not his chops... I think this is a pretty good demo - quite detailed. There's some neat stuff here - clever tap tempo idea... And the "compare"... Clever.
Hey man, very loud @ 100w, perfect for live work. Versatile also, classic Marshall rock cleans and crunch. Basically if you play rock music, it's excellent. Look at other UA-cam demos, this one is not particularly good. Best thing to do is take your guitar and actually plug into one before you buy it. Hope this helps, enjoy your music!
a lot of folks run this amp down because is has a digital part within but dont knock it till you try it i have the 100watt head version and apart from being seriously fukkin loud its as loud as a marshall randy rhoads head and they are monsters the company softube sampled all the great original marshalls through amp modelling software and put them in this amp so i have 16 classic marshalls on tap via a nice 4 way foot switch doug aldrich really uses a jmd1 100w head as he said i could and have used a jmd1 to do an entire whitesnake gig which says it all really so as i say try one im sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
I bought a used 50 watt head this year and I love it. I have TSL100 an old modded JMP super lead, think its a 72. I was never a fan of the tube pre amp mosfet output but since this is just the opposite It reminds me of my old superlead with an analog distortion and it kills so I checked out some on here and decided to by one and it was a purchase I do not regret.
Eh...I'd like to put my grubby hands on the 100W head used. For those who aren't convinced, there's a video of Doug Aldrich demoing the head. In proper hands and used by someone who knows how to dial a tone...It's a gnarly amp for 1/4th the cost of a JVM410H.
I'm thinking about buying one of these too, but I'm not pretty sure yet. Does it speak loud, I mean, for live playing? It's very versatile, right? For playing all kinds of music? And, do you recommend this amp? Please helpl me! thanks!
Yes I'd recommend this amp.I have had the JMD:102,2x12 , for a few months ,and I'm real impressed every time ! I can even play my J-200 thru it (imagine that !) I play, from; classic rock to gospel and this amp is really "tube city" ! As loud, & powerful, & HEAVY,... (73 lbs.)... as a train. And hey, 12 "Celestion speakers , Can't beat 'em ! Good luck , Murilo ! Peace
FOR HENDRIX ANY PLEXI WILL GET THE VINTAGE SOUND! BUT FOR SRV GOOD LUCK FRIEND YOU NEED FENDER VIBROTONE,VIBROVERB,SUPER REVERB PLUS MARSHALL PLEXI AND A DUMBLE AMP $$$$$$
The declaration that a built-in China digital pre-amp is going to sound like 16 classic Marshalls makes about as much sense as using a Tele to play metal. It's nothing more than a gold-faced Line 6 clone sporting a Marshall logo.

I didn't know you could use 3 fx at the same time, that's really cool to know. Pretty informative demo all around.
I just bought one of these, very nice indeed.

Have you noticed it sounds nothing like a Fender deluxe. It s like the brightness has been cut.
thank you man!
Holy sideburns dude
Mutton chops
Tune up.
With EMG active humbuckers, which might as well make it a Schecter.

Now I see why people say Marshall has gone down hill and the good ones are now Black Star

you can play metal on a tele!
Nice sideburns!LOL.
Could you gig with this?
No it’s a bicycle.
is this amp good for nirvana?
Sounds like crap. It’s great for Nirvana.
It's a amp demo..........not an audition. DA.
Slipknot's Jim Root playes Tele's...
Sobrino You play hasta el culo
Tone It :)
That´s an odd choice of guitar if you wish to demonstrate, say, the metal credentials of an amp like that.
2:13 ripping off steve vai huh :) ?
he is trying to show what the amp can do not show off you guys are to harsh on people trying to be informational
