I was only 13 years old when i started riding my friends 390. No one taught me since i was a car/bike enthusiast i was self taught and my opinion is if you are of perfect mind and are responsible will the power this bike has to offer than yes you can ride it
Well, there are couple of experiences you will get, mine is the same, I first learned how to ride on a Royal Enfield 350 and after barely 3 weeks I started riding my friend's rc 390. Yea you will feel enormous differences, the things you should keep in mind is, never ride in groups, in groups people will flex with their 200s and you will feel the urge to go berserk but just don't. Before even dropping a gear feel the throttle response, revv it 2-3 times and then drop the gear, release the clutch, give it a bit of petrol to roll. Keep your speed between 30-38kmph for the first 3 weeks and during this period start mastering gear upshifts while looking forward, engine braking, front brakes of the bike and your right wrist. After that start going on empty roads and try to do everything together effortlessly. To master your command over the bike exercise riding it as slow as you can, of course your 390 might be getting bored but this will help you to build your muscle memory quicker and will help you to master your throttle, clutch and gear play. Please try to ride early in the morning as the roads are empty at that time. Within 3-4 months you will be able to unleash somewhat potential of your 390 (depending upon your skill set)

The truth is that the Duke 390 is not for beginners. It is a very delicate machine. It actually has a hell of a lot of power. The performance is that of a 600cc sports bike. It is an amazing package overall but it needs a lot of experience. The 250 would be a great choice. That itself can outdo most bikes upto 450cc! Absolute insanity by Kronreif Trunkenpolz Mattighofen. ❤❤❤

For a beginner, who wants to be a proficient rider, they need to start with a 300+ cc bikes, or 250 because they have the suitable bottom end and top end, I am not saying your tipes are wrong but, they are the tips which apply to any rider riding any bike be it a 150 cc or a 300cc thus riding safe and responsible is necessary
Moral of the story is you should have experience riding a bike then you should upgrade slowly in higher mid segemt bike then you should upgrade two this type of bikes ktm Apache rr 310 or other higher performance segment bikes.It's all about experience and skills ager mene splendor own ki hai toh mae directly high performance bikes par upgrade nhii kerunga usse thodhi or higher mid segemt bike par hath saaf kerunga tabh inn bikes par Jana chahiye kyuki inme power bhot hoti hai or zyada power ke sath utni high braking bhi chahiye it's all about techniques and experience.

It has more room to grow and I’m not sure how many people would get a second bike. But it’s not suitable for a chapri beginner.
