This is very good interview. I find his analysis better than most others. India's fundamental problem vis a vis Pakistan has been confusion towards it. Even after 75 years we tend to confuse wishful thinking as analysis. Even after 26/11, we allowed our analysis to be wishful.
Sushant should write a book on the events and decisions that led to the downward spiral and collapse of Pakistan. As he suggests, the facts would be crucial to understand about what should not be done.
Summary of discussion: Read and learn about Pakistan to not repeat any of those mistakes that they have done. Use Pakistan as a pilot project for studies and keep our country going in the right direction.

Its important to not let the thought of economic crisis in neighbouring country mask the real issue of terrorism. We should still be vigilant and aware as the enemy would only hit us when we are at our weakest. Taking cues from israel - Hamas, this could all be a narrative which they want to build in our eyes but we must never lose focus from terrorism coming from a non state actor.
