I’m very impressed with how fast you picked up skiing! Usually first-timers spend at least a whole day on the learner’s slope. Nice parallel skis and straight back too 😉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Courchevel is named as the 'rich persons' ski resort haha hence the very lush shops! To say you'd never skied before Freddy you were doing really well and went at some pace for day 1 ! Skiings amazing great holidays! xx

I live in Whistler (one of North America’s biggest ski resorts). I just wanted to say that I’m super happy u chose to wear a helmet because we get so many new skiers who don’t realize how important a helmet is (even professionals and olympians wear them!) also U did amazing for your first day skiing!

Freddy, you are inspirational!! Putting yourself out there to learn a new skill is tremendous. You keep learning and growing. Being taught by the sweet and lovely Josie as well. She is so generous and kind. Glad you had a good time - short and sweet. It looks magical. I am in Australia and we are experiencing the extreme of that, so the snow looks idyllic.

It‘s lovely that you enjoy skiing that much but I wouldn’t recommend wearing that gilet especially when you’re getting faster it will get much cooler!! Buy an proper skiing jacket. I can suggest Benger, Schöffel and Colmar.

What fun! My first ski trip to Vermont (often packed snow, can feel like skiing on ice) was with a Double Diamond group of friends who thought a few pointers was all an athletic girl needed. LOL! After 1st day of pulling every muscle in my body - the second day I spent 45 mins with a coach - and I was comfortably on skis. Within a few weekends and w some fresh powder - easy to move on to Intermediate slopes and navigating moguls. Key to skiing - a lesson or two and you'll love it!

For your first time skiing, you were so good! My Dad used to be an instructor so I've been skiing forever, it's so much fun and a great holiday! Morzine is lovely to ski with great slopes!

Oh Freddie! I grew up near several ski resorts in the mountains of North Carolina. I tried skiing when I was in high school. It was just a bad experience. I had a lesson and really wasn't ready to go down the hill but rode up anyway and couldn't get down. An instructor had to ride me down while I held on from behind him. Never went back. This place is really beautiful and you are braver and far more adept at it than I was. This all looked like it was so much fun.
I honestly prefer Megeve but you make it magic wherever you are ❤️

For your own sake, (as a ski instructor) I would recommend to buy proper clothing for the next ski trip. An actual jacket for example would be great! A very "stylish" brand you would like is Goldbergh, not the most functional though... Schöffel and Peak Performance are better 😘

Courchevel 1850 is actually at 1750m they changed the name to compete with the other upmarket nearby resort val d isere which is actually at 1850m
As you enjoyed skiing so much (I love it too) I would really recommend you go to Lech in Austria next time. It is absolutely stunning but very posh and pretty as well (very Freddy!). I think you would love it there
