These are so comfortable, yet somehow still feel like wearing a sheet of armor. They look very stylish, yet also rugged. And the colour (I have the brown) with a pair of boots and a white tee is perfect.
Just got 2 pairs of the Olive, I wanted an alternative to all my Naked and Famous denim. As you guys said they are great with a denim jacket if you wan't to avoid the Canadian tuxedo look. They also look great with a dark bomber jacket paired with a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers. Love you Guys.
Oh yeah, you can rock these so many different ways, they are so versatile. I've been buried with work all week, but I can't wait to get out wearing my olive pair with this awesome vintage suede Schott jacket I've got.
That'll be cool! if you post photos on IG be sure to tag us so I can share the photos with the community. I'm sure lots of people would be interested in that.
Got a brown pair, and did the scratch test at home. Very Scritchy. I will attest to it not stretching and much, but I don't think it was mentioned that they make a nice swishy sound when my legs rub against each other sometimes.
Shashiko is all over the place lately from various brands. I hope that, if they bring it back, it will have a naked and famousish twist as they allways have 😍
@@Ramudaji honestly based off the alternatives I’d prefer to buy from N&F regardless considering most brands are charging a super premium for the style it seems. That being said id be even more interested in a scratch n sniff sashiko or something like that!
that would pretty cool. I don't have any Sashiko pants planned at the moment, but we'll certainly do some more down the road. For Spring Summer 23 we have some jackets in the works.
Thank you for the amazing video! Quick question if it’s okay? I really want the brown canvas Smart Jacket (collarless) but I’m have trouble with deciding on size. I’m 5’11’ 170 lbs, but I have a pretty narrow shoulder width so I’m thinking the medium is good or do you think the large because of the sleeve length and back length? Thank you for your time! 🙏🏼
The pics on Tate and Yoko have a zipper for Weird Guy and buttons for Easy Guy. Will that be the case at launch? Also wondered because you mentioned canvas is not as flexible. Do you recommend wearing them cuffed over hemming.
They are confirmed to all have a button fly, some of the original samples were made with zip. If it's a small cuff, around 2 inches that's fine. Otherwise I'd hem them. I don't like wearing jeans with too much bulk at the bottom.
Follow Tate + Yoko on Instagram, I'm going to get Garrett to do a live where he'll show off the difference. The Army Green Duck is a much brighter green in comparison.
Thanks for posting this video...and especially the comment about the stretching compared to denim. I have a few pairs of Naked & Famous jeans, and the fit on my Vulgar Selvedge 3 jeans (Super Guy, 34) is spot on. Should I maybe order a size up with the canvas fabric? I am looking for a fairly slim fit. Thanks!
Measure your Vulgar 3's by following our measurement guide - tateandyoko.com/pages/measuring-guide . Then compare the measurements to the ones found on the Raw Cotton Canvas product pages. If your Vulgar 3's are spot on, get the size that has the measurements that are closest to it. If you want a little more room then find the size that has measurements that are just a little bit bigger.
Question, if I get a perfect fit (same weird guy sizing I normally get in denim, will it get enough stretch to make it comfortable. Im typically a 34, and the canvas pants have room at the top block part but the lower block has tightness. N&F doesn't have a 35, so the 36 would be much to big at the waist all will have saggy bum look). Thoughts? Can I stretch them but getting them damp/wet and wearing them?
I will be ordering both colors. Weird guy in a 33 size fits me perfectly in the other naked and famous jeans I have. The 33 is not loose or tight, it is dead on. A 32 I can get closed but is very tight. A 34 has a bunch of room. This is wearing my jeans from new. Would I get a 33 in these raw cotton canvas as well?
Generic advice would be to get the 34 so you have some extra room. To be extra certain measure your jeans, and then compare those measurements to the charts. Pick the size that has measurements that are slightly bigger to account for lack of stretch. I usually wear a 32 in Weird Guy and these ones are a touch snug. I can still wear them, but I'd prefer the extra room.
Hello, About the sizing, i wear all your jeans in 30 weirdguy that fit really good right away. Should i stay with the 30 size or go to 31 with this canvas ? Thank you !
Generic advice is try the 31. More accurate advice is to follow our measurement guide, and measure your jeans the exact same way we do. Your 30 weird guys have probably stretched out a bit as you've worn them, so they don't fit like a brand new pair of size 30's. This is why it's always important to measure. If your jeans fit you perfectly, then I'd say go with the size with just slightly bigger measurements.
Are you going for the Super Guy because you find the Weird Guy is too wide in the leg? Generic advice is to go with the 38 in the Super Guy if you're coming from a 36 Weird Guy. Better advice is to measure your Weird Guy 36's (do it the same way we do - tateandyoko.com/pages/measuring-guide) and then compare those measurements to the ones listed on the product page. Get the size that is just a little bit bigger than what you need to account for the lack of give in this fabric.
You can fade anything if you wear them hard enough. These won't fade like an indigo denim would, but with enough wear and washes you can get these to fade.
Damn!!!!!!!! I just ordered the duck canvas last night!!!!! This selvedge denim thing is going break my financially 😂😂. Is there any plans for Naked and famous to do a rust colored pant? You know the cool orangish brownish tan color? Freenote had a cool version but they have all been sold. Iron heart has one, but I am not going to spend that much. I prefer to buy naked and famous because everything I have purchased so far has been really cool, and I know my exact size and fit.
Do you mean like this color? - tateandyoko.com/products/naked-famous-work-pant-brick-canvas?_pos=2&_sid=6ea85f79f&_ss=r Aside from that work pant, I don't have any immediate plans. But never say never. I'm sure we'll do something like that in a jeans silhouette at some point.
@@NakedandFamousDenim Thanks for the info. Yes that color, but in a weird guy tapered fit. I will keep my eye open if you ever do offer in your denim fits. Weird guy fit in 33 waist are the pants that the universe intended me to wear and fit perfect, so I will be trying to make all things that cover my legs, weird guy 33 from now on 😀
Beautiful fabrics, great colours for the fall, would have been very nice in a good rugged apron as well.
Ah yes, I thought overalls would have been good too.

I’m lovin’ the scratch test! It really tells a lot.
First time the scratch test made me sit up and take notice.
Right! It does work, but definitely more noticeable with the slubbier and rigid fabrics.
That scratch test is legit 👌
Oh yes, this one especially.
Love the colours, might have to pick up a pair!
Go for it!
Cotton Duck Fabriv are the best
Colors are great! Is there any chance N & F will being coming out with canvas overalls? Or re issuing the left hand twill overalls?
The LHT overalls will come back (at some point...) and yeah we should totally do a canvas overall. I'll put it on the to do list.

Did you find that the way the sounded in the video lined up with how they ended up feeling in real life?
Just got the olive ones and they are sweeeeeet! Fit to a T
Great choice, I'm glad you like them!
Ordered them from a store called Tate + Yoko in Canada
I actually just ordered a pair of the olive coloured ones yesterday, I'm excited to get them and pair with my leather jacket

Just got these in the mail today and wearing them, absolutely fantastic!

Just picked up a pair of these from Blue Owl. Do I treat them like raw denim? I.e. initial soak then wait 3-6 months to wash? Thanks!
You can totally do that, they will fade with wash and wear.

How much shrinkage should I expect from this material?
They'll shrink 2-3%. I'd advise you to get a size that is a bit roomy, canvas doesn't stretch out as much as denim

Wow much is delivering from Canada 🇨🇦 to uk
On our website www.tateandyoko.com we charge $25 for orders going outside of North America.
Amazing
Very nice 😎
I would have bought both if they were made in the USA
Just think of Canada as Americas hat. Aside from all of our poutine we're pretty much the same people.
This guy talks too much annoying as hell !!!
My teachers said the same thing in high school.
God forbid a product video relates to talking about the product.
