just got 2 pair of these for work, super guy fit. The fabric is amazingly light and hardy and while I originally got them for work, I wear them on weekends doing nothing
On the fence between these and Gustin's #159 Japan Olive. Decisions! What would your pick be? Would be to alternate with a pair of N&F Indigo Selvedge. Have never owned Duck Canvas pants, but have also never tried Gustin before.
@@Callan619 the Gustin will have a slightly lower rise so that may be a factor for you. I’d personally go for the Weird Guy over the Slim for the higher rise but the Gustin Olive fabric does look pretty darn good!!
@@jksnVusa67 it will shrink very minimally if you machine wash on cold and then hang to dry but it will shrink a fair amount if you put it in the dryer. Thanks for watching!
Interesting. I'm curious about these now. You said they're ~10 oz., but they have a tight weave. How does that affect breathability? I ask because I'm in Taiwan (not a lot of options for Western clothes here), and the weather is hot and humid in the summer. I have some Carhartt WIP Aviation pants, which are a 6.5 oz. rip-stop fabric. They're okay, but not super breathable. Otherwise, I wear Columbia nylon hiking pants, which aren't great, either, but serviceable. Thanks!
The length comes at 34” and you get them hemmed to whatever length you need. You just add a note to your purchase letting them know length you need them hemmed to…but I like to wear them and wash them a couple of times before hemming so I take them to Dutil Denim to get my pants hemmed.
God I would kill to get a pair of the grey color they discontinued D:
fingers crossed maybe it will make a comeback!
id love to see em in a solid black
We’d miss seeing your videos Nick…. lol

Tough choice! What fit do you have in the NF Indigo and which fit are you looking at from Gustin? I would pick based on fit.
@@bootsjeansandtheoddwatch Have weird guy in N&F indigo and would look to get the same in canvas. Gustin would be looking at a slim.

@@bootsjeansandtheoddwatch Thanks heaps for the insights. Cheers!

Awesome Video! Do you know if this fabric would shrink after the dryer/wash?

Good question! From my experience with the older pair I had they became much more breathable as the got worn in and washed a few times
@@bootsjeansandtheoddwatch Okay. That's good to know. Thanks!
@@bootsjeansandtheoddwatchagreed. threw these in the washer and dryer they loosened up got nice and soft and became super breathable.
What about the length? I’d be a 32 waist on them, it says the lengths are all 34.. explain?
