Its quite funny how these type of shooter games hold up better than some of the biggest titles out there to shame. I think the main idea about these type of games is how accessible they are to people, not needing strong PC or a lot of storage just click and play. There are reasons why other games with this type of graphics do so well, and sometimes "going back" in graphics doesn't mean degrading the game massively where its not fun to play.
To all the people who said BF2042 having 60v60 servers was too much and that it was impossible to balance that many players and still make it fun; here comes Battlebits to prove you all wrong. Not only can FPS still be fun with 120p servers, they can be fun with 240p servers. What matters most is map design that doesn't turn into either a meatgrinder or sniper's heaven and meaningful destruction that prevents campers from ruining everyone's day by bipoding up an LMG against an indestructible corner overlooking the objective with no viable flanking options.
Oki and Myst have been careful to see where there's plenty of cover and plenty of places to flank, to prevent meat grinders. Even the bridges have ways to circumvent it, and with buildable cover/smoke, pushes are very easy.

I'd say it's funny to see a major game dev with multi-million dollar budgets get shown up by indie devs whose "official website" just links to a Steam Community page for their game, but honestly it's fucking depressing when it's Battlefield getting worked over (because Battlefield was one of my favorite franchises for the better part of the last 20 years).
there's a bit of grinding to unlock the extra fun guns like the vector, but i like that the starting unlocks can compete with any kit. the M4 that you have at level 1 still feels great to use at level 50, and i swap back to it sometimes for funsies. but now i usually either run a FAL or a vector.
the tank Gameplay is also so rewarding but you're still vulnerable and need to be careful because everyone could have an rpg or c4 but then sometimes the risk of going in pays off massively. another part of this game that is just so so good
If it wasn't for your previous vid on this game, I wouldnt have known the beauty of BattleBit. The bois and I love running around voiping to everyone, we have had some pretty hilarious interactions with people in this game. Cant wait until its fully released.
The voip interactions are the best part of the game. I love sneaking into a building and downing someone and with a smoke grenade as cover I drag them away as they’re screaming to their teammates that they’re being kidnapped 😂

Glad this game after all these years is getting the recognition it disserves. Discord community is one of the best out there and the dev's are super chill. I was gifted the test place back in 2021 by OKI and loved the game since. Can't wait to for it to be released!

yeah this is hella fun, I play with my little potato PC and fighting with and against more than a 100 people at once is simply mind melting my favorite feature is the fact that I can be the boom boom guy with c4, anti tank grenade and HEAT rpg-7s which in turn means I alone can decide if a building is safe or not, if there is an enemy in a building I can simply make the cover not be there anymore :)
Dude you've actually got a pretty good singing voice. Why ya gotta make me feel inadaquate at both fps's and singing along to songs in my car. Also last night's playtest was so much fun. This is my second time playing since the first week-long playtest and this game is a guaranteed buy when it finally releases.
holy shit, the sheer possibilities of this game. I hope they openly support modding, just imagine the possibilities of having it to be Hardcore realism with little to no UI, to go to objectives, you have to locate it by opening a physical map thus making you vulnerable and thus promotes active comms even when playing with randoms.
This game is really fun.During a night map, I did a jump between two buildings and dropped into a windows for getting away. It was hilarious and super fun. Movements are nice and fluid for a FPS. Sniping is difficult because there is lot of enemies snipers, but very satisfying when you can land a headshot-1-tap far away. Night maps are another layer of difficulty, since when you use night-vision, you can't use scope. WHich is simple, but smart game design.
This takes all the great aspects of games like Squad and Battlefield but focuses everything on the gameplay, where it matters. It's so damn good and I'm so glad this is finally coming out soon.
this game feels better than any battlefield since BF3. its gunplay feels about 10x better than it has any right to feel, and i absolutely love it. i can't wait for the game to officially enter beta so i don't have to adhere to the absolutely psychotic only 3 hour long 6am or 9pm playtest times. also, i adore the scar in this game but imo it feels really bad on full auto and works way better as a DMR. also if you hold P you can combine the mags in your rig so you don't wind up with a ton of mags with like 5 shots in them
For anyone not following this game, there will be helicopters too, the next test next weekend will have them. The helicopters even have cool mechanics like shooting off a tail rotor and spinning out of control.
Just went and joined the playtest on steam. It says there’s only so many slots so if you wanna try before release I would go do that because this video will probably blow it up a bit.
I've had a blast on this game. I can't wait for early access when the servers will remain up. I've felt weird scheduling dates with my GF around this game's testplay schedule :P

Battlebit gave me joy that no other game has given me in a long long time. No grinding, no skill based match making, runs great, just pure fun.

It actually faster to hold R and pick up the mag when you reloading.
