Real Ear Measurement (REM)

Real Ear Measurement (REM) is a method of verifying that the amplification requirements are met for a specific hearing loss that is performed on the patient's ear. The measurement takes into consideration how the patient's ear changes the sound received at their eardrum. Starkey's new integrated Real Ear Target Match makes the process of adjusting the hearing aids to meet the patient's target amplification at each frequency a faster process than having to manually adjust each frequency where discrepancies are measured.
