iirc i think Hirsch said it was planned before to give .Giffany some closure as a credits-scene before they did the entire thing with Stan in Vegas (and they regretted not going for that decision after). they still wrote in the physical edition of Journal 3 that she survived and moved into that one fightin arcade
EDIT: also im pretty sure that either pronunciation of gif is wrong. its pronounced kinda like png, so you pronounce the letters, like G-I-F
did you know that in the concept art Giff old's look even looked liked Monika with the ponytail and the bow! this shows they actually predicted DDLC and also FNAF
