Nothing, but I am a Pacers fan. They are one of the few teams that would not get a lot out of it, too many players on the team can score from multiple ranges as is. He wouldn't get much out of it either considering what you mentioned about his defense.
i was just thinking the other day that corey kispert doesnt seem to get any love in the nba youtube community. thanks alex, i hope more creators and viewers see this video and start paying more attention to him
Wizards are probably going to do with Kispert what they did with Avdija: sign him to a team friendly extension and then trade him later on when an acceptable deal comes through. His play style is very helpful for a rebuilding team so I hope they don't trade him too soon lol
Might not be so team friendly deal though. Deni was not very good before signing his deal, arguably they overpaid based on current abilities, then he had a great year and looks like a steal. Not sure that's Corey's situation
I hope a playoff team or contender trades for Corey Kispert at the trade deadline. He could be a very solid role player with how lethal he is as a shooter and when it comes to attacking closeouts
Everyone has those obscure role players that they love for seemingly no reason.....Corey is that player for me on the wizards, Alex the goat for this one🙌🏿💯
I love deep cuts on guys like this, the unsung heroes of making a championship roster. The kinda guys you don’t hear about till he tears up your team’s bench unit or drops a sporadic 15-18 in a playoff game on good efficiency.
These are some other lesser known players that are like that Isiah Joe Santi Aldama Simone Fonteccio Keldon Johnson Kelly Olynyk Deandre Hunter Taylor Hendricks Aaron Wiggins
He has been heavily underrated for so long as more time show how much Cory can get better doing the little things. Respect Alex for giving him a chance to show his worth and keep making more video insight.
I'd always heard good things about Kispert, but hadn't taken the time to take a real look at him so I'm glad you made this to help give me a better understanding of his playstyle and I agree that any team would at least want him in their rotation(whether or not they'd be willing to pay what would likely be a fairly high asking price for WAS is obviously another thing). I'll be curious to see what he gets as a number for an extension.
One of my favorite things about ball is seeing players like this, someone I was very excited about out coming out his draft, reaching or passing expectations
Wizards has that ability to make players (Bertans, Bryant to name a few) seems really good like a "diamond in the rough", and it's innate in humans to wanna "unveil" something or like take a gamble.. hence loot boxes in games or card booster packs or gacha games etc are so popular. This dude just reminds me of Davis Bertans, not hating on him but sometimes playing in a really bad team can make you look really well + that player is playing harder to get a big payday. OH AND DAYUM ALEX HIT 100K already, didn't even notice! CONGRATULATIONS🔥
When he was talking about speed of release I really felt that as a Thunder fan Chet is a great shooter but he has an incredibly slow release and that can be costly at times cuz it gives defense times to recover
Honestly if we didn’t have too many wings I would love Kispert on the rockets. The dude can flat out shoot and he great at getting to the basket and cutting. He would be an elite role player on a title contender or playoff team like the Nuggets, Pacers and OKC
I remember the first time I saw him play, had never heard his name before and I was sitting 10 rows back in Philly as a 76ers fan and watched him outscore off the bench all of the wizards starters including porzingis and he dunked on I believe Paul Reed or Tobias Harris and I was in shock
I’ve been saying the Lakers or Warriors should trade for him for 2 years now!🤷🏾♂️ my favorite shooter in the league, Thank you Alex for showing him love!
I suppose that if you are a good enough shooter at more volume to make teams pay attention to you. And I suppose that a quick release makes teams have to keep a defender closer to you. So yes, you have a point. Had to think about it for a minute or two, though.
I still have no idea why they traded deni to the Blazers because i thought him and Kispert were their best young players along with coulibaly, but instead, we got pool for another few seasons
As a lakers fan I really hate seeing all these good players they don’t pursue, just going for big names like they’re tryna sell jerseys rather than win or something. It really pisses me off.
Put me on that bandwagon because I agree with you too. They have 2 of the top players in the NBA. Fill the roster with quality role players. That’s how they won in 2020
Absolutely, especially with movement shooting and an ability to attack off of close outs his value to a team with a defensive back bone will greatly benefit from an offball scorer that can space the floor and run off screens. He doesn’t have to be a defensive plus or a primary ball handler to provide value, especially so if he’s on a team friendly contract
He has a 0.0 offensive epm and a -1.9 defensive epm which is in the 9th percentile. I’m not buying his shooting and spacing making up for his defensive liability. He’s a net negative player.
To be fair, I say in the video that he’s not gonna be a star, he’s not gonna be dropping 20 a night, but his skillset is in high demand and would fit well on every team. I don’t think any of that is unreasonable, and I essentially called him a good role player. If that’s overrating him then oh well 🤷♂️
@AlexHoops yeah you're right with him not being a star. We probably have different definitions, but i think he's more of a bench player than being a significant role player at the moment
@@Frank-hv7xja solid bench piece is definitionally a role player, if he’s giving good value and playing solid minutes that’s an absolute plus. Especially for teams that have that defensive backbone and could use more spacing/secondary scoring in certain rotations. He’s not gonna be a primary ball handler or even a plus defender but if he can space the floor and shoot well off of screens then there are plenty of teams that would be better off having that skill set coming off of the bench. Even more so if you can get him on a team friendly contract which the wizards have a good chance of signing him to one and making him a valuable trade deadline target for teams trying to take their roster over the top

Raptors got Corey Kisbert at home (Gradey Dick)
embiid pg and maxey for corey and a championship
not kristaps porzingas😍

He’s a bench player on a team that only won 15 games last year. Of course no one is talking about him.
Like most role players lol plus he was on one of the worst teams
So you enjoy watching rehashed content

Congratulations on 100K! Well deserved!
And man, you’re really gonna make me watch a couple Wizards games this season? 😂
Thank you man, and I promise they’ve got a few players that are a ton of fun to watch 😂
Would be great if a team like the Memphis or the Detroit got Kispert, he is great

Let's go Cory Kispert video 😊. He better get a bigger role this season.
I think Luka would love a guy like him on his team. Smart cuts, great fades, and the release is like a blink
congrats on reaching 100k i love your videos i knew you would reach it this year that's quite the accomplishment keep up the great work

dont ever compare my pookie to davis bertans, bertans was garbage on the wizards

He would be a great fit for the twolves
Finally the recognition corey Kispert deserves 🙌🏼
Video idea.. what is a power forward in 2024?
I watched a suprising amount of Wizards games last year, Kispert always shows up.
Love Gonzaga! Would love to see him get traded to the Pacers and play with Nembhard!

Alex dropping bangers 😊❤

Went to a wizards game in december. He was the ONLY player on the wizards that I was impressed with and ive never heard of him until that game
I did enjoy this video
Granted I haven't watched a Wizards game since D Rose & J Wall squared in the playoffs, but I have never heard of this dude!

The wizards keep taking these guys. Kispert rui oubre opj denny bilal. They know how to get role players but never hit the home run
All wings too
He needs to go to a team like the Orlando magic
bro just sold me korey kispert is the goat
You also have to consider him being on the Wizards. 39% from three on the Wizards is basically 45% on at least a play-in team.
No
Hey congrats on 100k 🎉
Thank you!
W Alex for getting 100k. Congrats
Thank you!!
I want him! As a Warriors fan, he can be our new Klay... w/o the defense. Way better than Hield.
grats on 100k subs
76ers
I hope Daryl's alert and watching this!
I always thought you looked like Kispert, handsome fellas
Not a fan of the team but Cavs would be a dream fit if he gets dealt at the deadline
he is shooting the ball before it is pasted to him that is nuts
the magic need him
Would have been interesting if the Warriors got him as a Klay replacement. Given him a ton of volume and he can fit to what Klay does
With the same issues as old Klay on defense, and I would say a way bigger hole on D than Klay is right now
@@bandito241 I mean he also costs like a quarter of Klay's salary
Go Zags
i remember before he was drafted that he fell 17th to my pelicans, got trey murphy who is better, but damn kispert is still really good
they have to look at him as a long term piece right? why else do you trade deni??
as a wizards fan, corey has quickly become one of my favorite players on this team. white boy of the century
i hate that i knew it was Corey Kispert just by the title alone.
Sam Hauser was right there, he’s Corey Kispert ultra.
this guy is a sniper from 3 in 2k25
i'm in the wrong place for this reference but his catch and shoot footwork is exactly like hinata's receive footwork in haikyuu lol
I still have no idea why they traded deni to the Blazers because i thought him and Kispert were their best young players along with coulibaly, but instead, we got pool for another few seasons
He’s a sniper 🎯
Imagine him on the Knicks
I love talking about role players
Great value Devin Booker a great glue piece.
I’ve wanted my Cavs to trade for this guy for a long time
Kispert is the new Avdija

Would thrive in golden states system

100k!!
Just imagine this dude on fhe pistons
He's a nice role player but he was drafted 15th so like I am sure what they expected a bit more
Maybe the best play: screen (kinda)
The new Kyle Korver
this is what jared mccain will be in a couple of years
This is what im saying before dallas get klay. They should have go for kispert instead.
THE NBA IS NOT ABOUT DEFENSE !!
Bro I thought the thumbnail was Deni Avdija. I feel clickbaited 💔
Knowing Washington, they are gonna hype up his a trade bait and then trade him and a second round pick for Chris Boucher
Is this a reupload?
Nope, I did post a short about the same topic though
First video at a hundred subs
Krispy Kreme Kispert
I trade for Kispert every time on 2k
Kinda sorta almost look a bit Klay-ish.
Definitely
Bro you look like Luka and Klay's son
He has played hard for the wizards his entire career around a bunch of lazy "stars" and nobody's.
cool
Spurs should get him
only problem is hes not a good defender
So he’s Steph curry got it
Laker
Alex make sure the white boys get love
😂😂😂
It’s 11pm and I’m trudging through this meaningless life by watching videos about random nba role players
If God ever existed he is long dead
Put together a trade package for him? Lol he is the trade package.
Is he really highly sought after
Seems pretty inconsistent and mediocre on defense
An elite movement shooter/play finisher on an expiring $5.7M contract in today’s NBA? Yes, he’s highly sought after.
