I really like when people talk about PROPER SIDE DECKING! I don't think it's talked about in detail enough! What to side out and what to side in, when and against what deck is pro-level details that wins tournaments that it NEEDS to be talked about A LOT MORE! Also, I really think that if players are using Super Poly, they shouldn't be afraid to consider putting 2-3 of the other targets into the side deck (i.e. against Fire decks you would only want to play Earth Golem @Ignister/Gilti- Gearfried etc. or sometimes even Starving Venom Fusion Dragon is a great choice, Mysterion, Draco-Equiste, etc.)

@@cvorammlied you can make Guardian Chimera going second with it if you dont have a Branded in Red target in the grave if you have stuff on field and in hand instead. Keeps you from banishing materials too early, and can make Albaz fusions while playing around ash too. Card is nice

I love that you are so passionate for branded despia and always make great videos for the family of branded players, im grateful for you making these videos❤. I’m coming back into Yugioh and I love branded despia as it was my first competitive deck I played. I was considering about playing it again cause of it still being very good and fun. I put down questions I have for you for helping me decide on how to build my deck. I would appreciate if you answers them for me to help me with making my deck.
1. If I don’t feel like playing puppet because I’m not a big fan of it, what could I replace instead? I was thinking of kit or Ad libitum. Kit for being another stater and ad to bring back my mirror jade on the board.
2. I know nadir servant is another way to play around branded fusion getting ash. I don’t know the combo line for it, so I was wondering what extra deck card you would target for Maximus and nadir?
I usually side puppet for ad libitum. Skip kit.
When using nadir, send Garura and grab Maximus, you get the draw one from Garura, then you can banish Garura for Maximus summon. Then Maximus can send Titaniklad and Albion for end phase set up (branded spell n trap and then grab Quem from Titaniklad effect)

With that being said, you should play puppet. In a tier 0 format, playing the puppet lock is the way to go. There are only so many ways to outplay snake eyes fire king with pure branded despia combos. We put up a good fight but without super poly and puppet lock, it’s a slaughter.
Thank this helps a lot. Only reason I ask for puppet to replace cause it feels really unfair for players not being able to play. But honestly it is the best way until some ban list bans it.
Might well be your best deck profile video so far, I really enjoyed it.

Siding going first : i’d keep high spirits cuz it’s an acces to cartesia ==> high rates on gimmick puppet = win con. whatever, thx for your content
Going for the puppet is fun, it’s like, you gotta check if they can out it, and if so, that saves your other cards from falling victim to what the puppet did
Would you consider Nadir Servant and Maximus to help play through Ash? Fire Extra Decks are pretty tight so even his effect might have some use.
Less board breakers and you can run.

Nadir is easily the best main deck choice this format. Maximus is the decks only consistent way to play through nib, which you can summon off dusk after they nib you, and sets up puppet combo on its own. Anyone not playing it is playing a worse version of the deck. Thrust is so good, sometimes. If you get impermed it sucks. Even if they use veiler, unless you can dump fusion thrust isn’t doing anything g1. Obviously it’s fantastic going second as well. Kinda the opposite of nadir. Masq is needed in the main too. It’s a win con against fire when going second. Pretty similar list to what I took to Seattle a few weeks back though !
@312desolationyou clearly have not played against fire with branded. Making masq t1 isn’t as impactful, sure. But that’s not what I said. After their t1 they’re going to be at 6k, after you break their board and deal some more damage they have to play very weird to deal with masq or they do just lose. They usually have to out it by battle but that means masq did it’s job. Flamberge also isn’t a real problem because you just banish it with mj. Usually they out it with garunix during battle. I got 16th at Seattle a few weeks ago and 9th (would’ve been second if I won my last round) at the salem regional. So I know what I’m talking about. Masq wins games against fire.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why is Branded in White considered a board breaker rather than an extender?
Hello Galzo. If don't have the thrust with card or cards would you recommend? Not necessarily to replace, but for fullfil the same proporse: good going first and second, i only see one option the patchwork engine. You see any other option? Ty

Not as good going second but do consider nadir servant with a maximus. Its a great backup in case you get interrupted on your main combo and also clogs the deck up less than the patchwork stuff. Going second its just free space to side out though which also has its uses ✌️
I too recently cut Dragoon from the deck, sad day. But you're right, it's kind of out of the way to summon and not really worth it all things considered synergistically. Also just wondering but why no Nadir?

Would you say there's still value in Nadir Servant to search out Quem and/or to one-card puppet lock? You could even just play one to search off of Thrust.
I really enjoy the deck and the video of course. One question, however, I do not have the finances to afford a thrust, is there a way to substitute them?
The reason people STOPPED playing 3 shrouded is because it plays straight into droll while in the hand.

I dont think Albion should be banned. He looks too cool and I dont even play Branded lol. Gimmick puppet nightmare should though. It's a lingering floodgate.
The problem is if they ban Gimmick Puppet, there are other cards that Albion can abuse for summon locking like Ido the Supreme Magical Force, Ra's Disciple, etc. Albion can also be abused in Voiceless Voice decks with Jowgen the Spiritualist as well to also use the summon lock lol. I get what you mean, I really hate the idea of them banning an Albaz lore fusion target, especially if they don't replace it with another good one first lol.

Branded is really a nice deck. Such a pitty its win condition this format is the puppet lock, and that the video turns around it.
1:50 When you say Albion the Shrouded can "grab you Branded Fusion" what to you mean? Like when you dump Retribution and BF using Shrouded + Saronir's GY dump to add to hand from GY using Retribution?
Foolish Branded Retribution with Albion. Send Branded Fusion with Quem or Saronir. You can dump Saronir with the Grang.
What he said ^^ if you don’t have branded fusion in hand, there’s MANY methods to get it to your hand that same turn while running through combos to bait the ash

Gimmick Puppet is not the issue, it's Sanctifire, there is too much bs you can do with it, just ban the white dragon please.
Also, Snake-Eyes can play up to 21 handtraps if they want.

@galzo I'm a Master Duel player. Do you have a good deck profile and way to play the deck in that format?
You can make a similar deck but you gonna need to up it to 60 with 2x called by, 3x nadir servant, more bystial, more high spirits, 2x retribution, maxx c etc. Its just not very playable at 40~ with 1x fusion, 1x opening and 2 aluber. I like the 3 shrouded dragon idea a lot

IMO you cannot win vs Firedecks if you don't go puppet at turn 3 when you go second: it's 90% impossible to otk and it's hard to build a board strong enough for all the follow up they have

Not a weak question. You can get the entire Branded core from the structure deck Strike of Albaz. Some despia monsters are in there as well but the rest you’ll have to purchase or trade for individually. It took me a couple months to build the deck in its entirety but it’s worth it. It’s not an expensive build (if you don’t care about rarity) and it’s always a solid contender

It can take up alot of extra deck space, sucks going second, and thrust is generally just better in MOST cases. People play nadir+thrust more in 50 card versions, but otherwise just play thrust

Thoughts on how the deck would play if Sanctifire gets banned
If sanctifire gets banned, it will hurt BUT that’s only one line of play and it’s usually for puppet lock. Besides that, sanctifire is just a big body on the field that can’t be targeted and can’t be used as fusion material. It will still be a heavy hitter in the formats to come
Mirrorjade, quem and guardian chimera would be your main disruptions most likely, but it'd depend on the format and build
@@andrejv.2834 yeah I figured my question is loaded as its not even banned yet and maybe it doesn't. I am just not sure if to invest in the card as it could be banned and I am not the best with making deck list so IDK how to structure the deck without sancifire since all Brand Decks run it.
@@adamdefreitas2791 the main deck wouldn't really change except for the floodgate monster of choice being taken out, the extra doesn't change at all, you'd still play dusk dragon
Regarding investments, waiting for the banlist is probably the safest option, as sanctifire isn't exactly cheap, the banlist should (hopefully) be dropping soon
I think people are sleeping on a new frontier and harmonic synchro fusion for branded.

Deck is ultra consistent as is, branded fusion send tragedy also searches quem. Titaniklad can also be sent by graguingol meaning you dont need to sac ur normal summon for it.
@@danstewy2452 with sarc you can do literally the same play except you banish tragedy not send it. Sarc can also banish merc and foolish cannot send merc to get it's ef

@@danstewy2452 but it has less options there were more times where I wanted to add cartesia/shrouded than times were I wish I was able to go for branded in red but wasn't able to. Also if you cut 1 foolish you get that 1 space for gold sarc like space isn't really an issue
