Disney Imagineer makes Black History: Lanny Smoot joins National Inventors Hall of Fame

Black History Month is underway. A notable Black inventor is about to be inducted into his profession's hall of fame for his work at Walt Disney Imagineering. Lanny Smoot's latest invention, the HoloTile Floor, moves as you walk on it! It's just another example of something we must all remember each February: Black history is more than just the sad parts. If all you hear about is slavery and civil rights, then you're missing a huge part of our heritage.

This honestly sent me on a whole rabbit hole of trying to understand how this technology works. Absolutely bizarre that vibration and slope manipulation on tiles that small can produce an effect that drastic.
