I'm a Seventh Day Adventist and I don't eat unclean meats. Yep bacon and seafood are yummy, but because of my love of God and wanting to do as He pleases I don't eat it anymore. He knows what is best for us. There is always beef bacon instead of pork now that sounds good right now! 🥓

Thank you for explaining this with a good amount of context. I’m 28 raised in the church and still attend that church as an adult with my own children now. I’m just now starting to investigate for myself what does the Word of Father God actually say rather than my pastors interpretation of it. I asked about food laws and was told “that’s legalism and very dangerous theology” then quickly dismissed. Thank you again for actual scripture IN CONTEXT rather than just opinion.
Truly like your videos and humble character. I was saved in 2017 at the age of 39 and fell in love with the commandments rather quickly. All this talk about "we dont have to keep the commandments" when it is such a joy to do what the almighty likes, and not just focus on the grace given by Him but on OUR love towards Him. Thats a great feeling and all you out there who dont want to keep His commandments because you "dont have to" you are missing out on something awesome. I am an obedient believer in the Bible and have a Muslim friend, who acknowledges the Books of Mosheh, yet eats shrimp and certain crustaceans and admits it is not forbidden in Islam. He didn't really explain why this is allowed... What are your thoughts?

The whole point of Rom 6 is that Gods grace is so great that you could (and probably do) take it for granted, even though you may not know it. The emphasis here is not on your ability to keep the Law perfect, but on the greatness of Gods all encompassing grace for His children.
Most likely he keeps God's laws simply because he loves God. "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." (1 John 5:3 KJV) On the other hand, perhaps he really is one who abides in Christ. "He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked." (1 John 2:6 KJV)

Interesting. I am all about obeying God's commandments. It's not only an act of worship, but it's for our benefit. At the same time, we cannot gain access to God through good deeds. Be careful not to put all your trust in following the law. If that's the case, you don't need Jesus - and then - you lose everything, including the law. Because we follow Jesus, we keep the law, but not the other way around.

Therefore we are under the restrictions of mans law. Much like the Jews were under the restrictions of Roman law in Jesus day. There are many laws under our current world structure That cannot be followed. For instance, there is no temple and no levitical priesthood So we cannot follow the clenliness and sacrificial laws. Many crime and punishment laws in the Torah require a priest to pass judgment, so those laws cannot be followed. (Stoning falls under this section) So we learn Yahweh's Law and follow it according to our current situation. It's called obedience and it is the foundation of the Christian belief. The bible doesn't disagree with itself, if the entire law and prophets are about understanding and being obedient to Yah's commands, how can the new testiment put an end to it? If you think something in the New testiment ended the Commands that stand forever, then you are trusting your own understanding above the word of God. It's a precarious situation I am glad to no longer be in. Do some studying. Start in exodus. Read Gods commands. See how they apply to your walk. you got it right , some of the Laws like food were put to follow and learn the difference between healthy and not healthy while at the same time to later realize the differences later on however if the Pharisees kept the Laws but were close to hypocrite demons would have them keeping the Laws being faithful to God ? even though they were the best that kept the Laws and also were the Temple Masters , This is how some people do not comprehend and refuse to because even though there are Laws and God gave Humanity the free will while also given it the brain the Spirit and the decision making therefore no one in his right mind today would want to eat certain foods and the proof that if Christians followed the food law no fish would have been left and the strange thing how about chicken then ? Most Christians are hypocrites they constantly point the fault of others and if they want to keep the Laws of the food or any one or two laws then why not all the Laws then ? and if so then they should know that even association with others that do not keep the law is not kosher and they should not be in the same Nation as them nor they should be allowed in their own nor behave like them , hypocrisies at their best . But to say that something we are told not to eat is food just because *we* consider it food in our culture is not to divide the word correctly. Leviticus 11:46-47 "This is the law regarding the animal and the bird, and every living thing that moves in the waters and everything that swarms on the earth, to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the edible creature *and the creature which is not to be eaten."* Paul, a jew, said not to destroy the work of God for the sake of food. Question: Did Paul consider any creature God specifically said not to eat as 'food'? Or was Paul talking about things God said we could eat when he used the word 'food'? Clean animals could become unacceptable if they died of themselves or if they were sacrificed to an idol. For this reason some people avoided meat from the market because they were worried it had been sacrificed to an idol...instead they only ate vegetables. Ezekiel 22:26 "Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them."
Another thing to add… in Romans 14… Paul is advising the church on how to receive people new to the faith without judgement…. a lot of the people were Roman and some of the Roman people were big vegetarian
They give interpretations and say it is by inspiration and I ask myself, with how many inspirations will this bible be interpreted? Was it not already written by inspiration? The fundamental misunderstanding with much of this here is that the New Covenant in Jesus Christ completely replaced the Old. It is the New Covenant. To ask the question, "Which parts of the Old Testament are still in the New?" while sincere, is a wrong-headed question to ask. The New Covenant in Jesus has its own concepts, teachings, philosophy, and way of life. Of course, there are many similarities because it is the same God who gave both. But if we're going to ask the question if Christians can eat what was called unclean meat, you have to find that instruction in the New Testament, not go off what the Old Testament said. The New Testament never teaches that Christians are to follow Old Testament dietary standards, anymore than that Christians have to follow Old Testament cleanliness laws. The same logic that is being used to say Christians need to follow Old Testament dietary law could easily be applied to cleanliness laws. But I don't see them doing that. The Law is a schoolmaster that brought us to Christ. We are in Christ now, not the law.

Excellent presentation &. Very well backed up by scriptures. Years ago when I first decided to obey TMH’s laws, It was hard for me at first to give up shrimp & pork. However, my zeal to please the great “ I Am” reinforced my commitment to follow his dietary laws. The clean VS unclean restrictions are not only biblical, but also scientifically sound in terms of health & well being. I have noticed more than a few improvements in my health since I started following TMH’s dietary laws.

If you believe what this man says you believe wrong. Nobody is going to judge me about what I eat or do not eat. The dietary laws of the old testament did not apply to the gentile believers. As Paul said nothing is unclean in itself. It is sanctified by prayer and thanksgiving. What God has cleansed no one should call common or unclean. Jesus made it clear that is not what goes into our mouths that defiles us, because it goes into the stomach. But what comes out of our mouths, because it comes from the heart. As Jeremiah said the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. I thank God I can eat pork and prawns etc. Because I have been set free in Christ. The Galatians had been bewitched or blinded by malicious magic. Because false teachers had said they must be circumcised. It was another gospel or spirit of divination. The same applies today. That is a very dangerous illustration, I would highly recommend going back to the beginning. You are pretty much saying that when someone eats a "forbidden food" you are undoing what Christ did on the Cross, ouch! again, go back to the beginning.

Holy cow. How can you miss this period romance chapter 14 talks about The conscience and how some are weaker and some are stronger. That you should not violate it and you should not judge someone Because of it. And we aren't to judge that.
NT Believers are not under the temporary Law Contract of Moses; NT Believers are under the original Faith Contract of Abraham who was under Genesis 9:3. (Read Galatians 3:14-26). that is why Paul said that ALL food is PURE/CLEAN for us to eat (Romans 14:20), because our food is purified by our prayer of thanksgiving (1Timothy 4:1-5).

@@sourmilkministries9445 1Corinth 8 is Paul talking about meat offered to idols -- and Paul states that Believers know that there is no such thing as another god (v.4) -- it is those with a WEAK conscience that believes the idol is actually a god and we should never eat it (v.7) -- Believers can certainly eat meat offered to fake gods (v.8) but since others have WEAK faith, your claiming to be a Christian and eating meat offered to idols might be a stumbling block to them (v.9). Therefore we of strong faith and know our liberty/freedom to eat meat offered to idols, should NOT eat that meat if a WEAK brother doesn't know his liberty and is offended (v.12-13). Has nothing to do with Romans 14 which compares those with WEAK faith (vegetarians, v.2) with those of strong faith that know they can eat any meat they want to (v.14, 20).

awesome job!!! i been teaching this same teaching for years. when i became a believer in Yeshua i would ask myself Did yeshua ever eat unclean meats NO! Did he ever give us an example of him eating unclean meats? NO! Yeshua never gave one example of him eating anything unclean! if Yeshua ate swine he then wouldve broke the law that he said he came to fulfill and not destroy. I wish that were totally so. However unfortunately we cannot and do not raise all our foods icluding live stock like in biblical times according to Leviticus. Thankfully some changes were brought above in live stock farming in the U.S.A. like using less antibiotic or hormone use in the last decade or so. Free range, a contemporary craze, probably was the normal according to Leviticus. rabbinical kosher laws became more extreme. However there are benefits for all people eating kosher foods. Lev. and Deut.certainly clearly describe and note which animals are clean and which combinations are acceptable

you are confused. Jesus was a JEW under the Law Contract of Moses with its dietary laws (Galatians 4:4) -- NT Believers are not under the temporary Law Contract of Moses, we are under the original Faith Contract of Abraham who could eat anything he wanted according to Genesis 9:3. Read Galatians 3:14-26 for a witness. that is why Paul said that ALL food is PURE/CLEAN for NT Believers to eat (Romans 14:20), because our food is purified by our prayer of thanksgiving (1Timothy 4:1-5).

You missed Genisis 1:29-30. The original diet that God gave us upon creation, when we were made in his image! Before he gave us the diet of the fallen after the flood and cut our life span from 900ish years to 120 years.

By the current interpretation given in this video, if Peter were to have accepted the Lord's offer he would be sinning and would have been led to sin by the Lord! I believe this also would go with not worrying about the food we eat .. People love religion because it gives us a reason to boast of ourselves but Ephesians does say we are saved by Faith not by works of the law so that none should BOAST... We are created for good works though but when i see good works i look at Dorcas who took care of widows and also James says pure and UNDEfILED RELIGION is this that you should visit orphans and widows . If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations- “Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch” ( referring to things that all perish as they are used)-according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh. Colossians 2:20-23

We have to study study and study some more because there's alot we think we know . Im not 100% sure but i am still looking into this. We have to come before the scriptures with all humility otherwise it's very easy to get puffed up
And right here is the problem when you start to mix grace with rules and regs. While your faith is not in question and I listen to you and learn, its clear that once you start to go down the route of physical obedience to the letter, there's no stopping point. This presentation is a perfect example of this; whereas by the grace of God and the Spirit we can read that the religious ones were insinuating that unclean hands contaminate the food, making the food unclean. This is why Jesus clearly says its not what goes into a mans stomach that makes him unclean, but what comes out of his heart shows he is unclean. However once you start to look for the law instead of grace, everything reads differently, and I believe you lose something spiritually, there's a fall, so now instead of freedom to eat, you are binding yourself to the physical, and the flesh. We need to be extremely careful when going 'back' to the Hebrew roots of the faith, so that its not just that - 'going back(wards)'

The context is washing hands, its about eating with unwashed hands. If you cherrypick verses like that, you dont see the context. Food was already established because the Word, being Yeshua, defines what food is in the Torah.

Vernon Bilyeu I wondered the same thing. In discussion with some of the folks that follow this teacher I found they toss out the writings of Paul. The book of Galatians is a good read for anyone looking to find righteousness in their own works rather than accept the gift of righteousness from Jesus Christ.
Lets consider 'who' was being addressed in the letter to the Romans. It was the Romans, who were coming into the faith. They did not know the ways of God, so they were unfamiliar and 'weak in the faith'. Starting in 14:1, we are instructed to receive and accept the newcomers to the faith. They are learning, and it is not up to us to berate, condemn, or chastise them. In verse 2, reads as "One 'weak in the faith' person believes he can eat all things, where another 'weak in the faith' person eats only herbs." This clearly shows, that neither of them know for sure, what is or is not clean, or acceptable in the way of handling, slaying, or consuming food, as instructed by God. Verse 3, speaks of not letting this become a point of contention between those that are 'weak in the faith'. In other words, it is a case of the blind leading the blind, and bickering between themselves, is pointless. Verse 4, is more of a 'judge not, lest ye be judged' statement. It is not our place as men, to condemn any man that is trying to learn the ways of God. In time, God will show these people how to walk upright, according to his laws. Verse 5, again, these people are new to God's ways. Having served many gods, and committed many abominations in their servitude to those gods. They do not yet know the moedim, (Holy days, declared by God). These former pagans, have had many days devoted to different aspects or gods. "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it." The impetus of Romans 14, can be summed up, in this one verse. 13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. If someone is coming back into God's ways, these ways may seem very foreign to them. We should be gentle, and guide them, with kindness, and the regular reading of the Torah, in the synagogues, each Sabbath. In time, they will eventually come to know God's ways. What is hurtful, is to berate one, who is learning, only to have them turn back to their pagan ways and gods. So, no, Lex did not 'toss out the writings of Paul'. Peter warned us the Paul's letters can be difficult, to those that are 'weak in the faith'. Often, those of the christian church, do not know God's laws, or feel that they have been abolished. Yet, we see the Jews and gentiles alike, being taught the same law, in the synagogues, on the Sabbath. But that doesn't happen anymore... somewhere along the way, the Jews continued in their oral traditions, and the christians outright abandoned the law of Moses (law of God), the Sabbath, and the synagogues. Romans 14:4 says I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. This means that it is now a personal choice if one wishes to say this is or isn't good for oneself, a personal choice, not an obligation.
This was an excellent video Lex. However, I was just hoping that you would talk about John the Baptist eating locusts *(the fruit)* in the desert this seems to be another point of confusion among Christians, as there are locusts that are fit or clean for consumption.
Great point. Also honey...it comes from the unclean bee. Many who are against the eating of honey claim that honey in Hebrew actually means tree sap. It doesn't hold up when we look at Samson, though...
I think you can also make mention of the scientific reasons which back up these biblical provisions about not eating the unclean meat as defined by the Holy Bible. It would be most interesting. There is plenty of scientific evidence against the consumption unclean meats which are explicitly defined by the Holy Bible. Most of that research is well documented by the Seventh-Day Adventist church.
I have had this debate with folks and they always say Paul says gentiles are not bound by the old laws, and I point out that Jesus says he didn't come to abolish the law. And I ask them, since there is a question about who is right, what is the safest route?

The OLD TESTAMENT said not to eat those animals. Are we under the Old Testament? NO! Was it called an "abomination?" Yes! But, in the NEW TESTAMENT, we plainly see GOD speaking to Peter, and THREE TIMES, he says that what was once UNCLEAN is now CLEAN. (See Acts 10 and 11) So, YES you can eat those animals. You don't have to if you don't want to. But, you CAN. And, yes, we are NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW!!! We read... Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Rom_6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Gal_3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal_3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. You use the argument of "homosexuality." It was forbidden under the Old Testament and called an "abomination." But, we don't have any scripture in the New Testament where God says it's now suddenly okay. Rather, we have Romans chapter 1, where Paul says it's "unclean" and "defiling." So, hope you see that! Just so we’re clear, the laws given in the holy Torah, from Mt. Sinai to the end of Deuteronomy, are for the Israelites and Israelites alone. Non-Jews/Israelites are not compelled to follow them.

And this chapter is talking about the traditions of MEN of ritualistic hand washing believe to make a man defiled if he did not wash before the eating of BREAD which is not a law of God. Yahusha was calling them out for holding traditions of their elders more than God. This verse has absolutely nothing to do with clean and unclean foods!
The way I see it , God gave us a list of unclean foods in The Old Testament. I believe he didn’t come to nullify it but to confirm it! I believe that God is incapable of making biblical law then say that it is to be removed. That would mean that He is capable of making a wrongful law or commandment. That is impossible for Him to do. He commands us from Adam to now with the same laws and has NEVER rescinded any law or commandment.
These people are reasoning in the flesh, walking in the flesh and worshipping in the flesh. That is why they are becoming drawn to the OT ways. Christ fulfilled the law. We are to reason in the spirit, walk in the spirit and worship in the spirit. John 4:23,24. The deluding influence is upon the world. The falling away is happening NOW. The time of sorrows is here. We must pray in earnest. So many will be lost. 💓

The first 4 are essentials for new believers, whereas the REST of the Law of Moses will be learned by studying every Sabbath. Deut. 17:6? I think Peter and Paul confirm the message clearly. I wonder how meat is being defined? Is Paul in 1 timothy saying that the deception that would take place would be to avoid vegetables and things that are beneficial to us? Read Gen 1:29. Paul in 1 Timothy 4:1-6 is speaking in prophetic terms about "later times" (meaning our times). The key of understanding what the issue being addressed is verse 3: "They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth." Do you know a certain church that forbids its priests to marry and tell people to abstain from meat on certain days? There is no such teaching in the Bible (Peter, the supposed 1st pope was married). These are human tradition, “deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” that’s what I think Paul is talking about here.

These are the things we were taught all our lives. Praise Jesus that salvation is in Him and Him alone. And I praise Him that my wonderful wife followed soon after, being born-again less than a year later. Our God is so good!
I've been born again for 42 years have been filled with the spirit through the baptism of the holy spirit for almost 42 years. I have studied his word I have regular praise worship and fellowship and I'm not just talking once a week. I have received an enormous amount of wisdom and insight from the Lord about his word and Kingdom living. I don't have a video page on UA-cam because I understand that if you are going to preach publicly you are going to be held accountable for every word you speak to people and your causing them to stumble will be held against you all you need to do is read the word to see that what I'm telling you is true. Far too many men are on social media using the name of the Lord their God in vain and misleading people and causing them to stumble

I'm a Seventh Day Adventist and I don't eat unclean meats. Yep bacon and seafood are yummy, but because of my love of God and wanting to do as He pleases I don't eat it anymore. He knows what is best for us. There is always beef bacon instead of pork now that sounds good right now! 🥓

Thank you for explaining this with a good amount of context. I’m 28 raised in the church and still attend that church as an adult with my own children now. I’m just now starting to investigate for myself what does the Word of Father God actually say rather than my pastors interpretation of it. Truly like your videos and humble character. I was saved in 2017 at the age of 39 and fell in love with the commandments rather quickly. All this talk about "we dont have to keep the commandments" when it is such a joy to do what the almighty likes, and not just focus on the grace given by Him but on OUR love towards Him. Thats a great feeling and all you out there who dont want to keep His commandments because you "dont have to" you are missing out on something awesome. The whole point of Rom 6 is that Gods grace is so great that you could (and probably do) take it for granted, even though you may not know it. The emphasis here is not on your ability to keep the Law perfect, but on the greatness of Gods all encompassing grace for His children.

I am not in favor of eating unclean animals, but I can see in all of your videos that you have a strong tendency to preach about following the law more than following Jesus. Interesting.
I am all about obeying God's commandments. It's not only an act of worship, but it's for our benefit. At the same time, we cannot gain access to God through good deeds.
Be careful not to put all your trust in following the law. If that's the case, you don't need Jesus - and then - you lose everything, including the law. Because we follow Jesus, we keep the law, but not the other way around.
You are right, but God said that the only way to show love for him it's by following the law.
None of those verses are talking about clean and unclean foods. Reread them and pray for understanding, read the entire chapters in context.

However we do not live by levitical law in any country in the world.
Therefore we are under the restrictions of mans law. Much like the Jews were under the restrictions of Roman law in Jesus day.
There are many laws under our current world structure That cannot be followed.
For instance, there is no temple and no levitical priesthood So we cannot follow the clenliness and sacrificial laws.
Many crime and punishment laws in the Torah require a priest to pass judgment, so those laws cannot be followed. (Stoning falls under this section)
So we learn Yahweh's Law and follow it according to our current situation. It's called obedience and it is the foundation of the Christian belief.
The bible doesn't disagree with itself, if the entire law and prophets are about understanding and being obedient to Yah's commands, how can the new testiment put an end to it?
If you think something in the New testiment ended the Commands that stand forever, then you are trusting your own understanding above the word of God. It's a precarious situation I am glad to no longer be in.
Do some studying. Start in exodus. Read Gods commands. See how they apply to your walk. See how Salvation through Christ leads us directly into obeying the Fathers commands.

Most Christians are hypocrites they constantly point the fault of others and if they want to keep the Laws of the food or any one or two laws then why not all the Laws then ? and if so then they should know that even association with others that do not keep the law is not kosher and they should not be in the same Nation as them nor they should be allowed in their own nor behave like them , hypocrisies at their best . Paul, a jew, said not to destroy the work of God for the sake of food. Question: Did Paul consider any creature God specifically said not to eat as 'food'? Or was Paul talking about things God said we could eat when he used the word 'food'? Clean animals could become unacceptable if they died of themselves or if they were sacrificed to an idol. For this reason some people avoided meat from the market because they were worried it had been sacrificed to an idol...instead they only ate vegetables.

Another thing to add… in Romans 14… Paul is advising the church on how to receive people new to the faith without judgement…. a lot of the people were Roman and some of the Roman people were big vegetarian
They give interpretations and say it is by inspiration and I ask myself, with how many inspirations will this bible be interpreted? Was it not already written by inspiration? The fundamental misunderstanding with much of this here is that the New Covenant in Jesus Christ completely replaced the Old. It is the New Covenant. To ask the question, "Which parts of the Old Testament are still in the New?" while sincere, is a wrong-headed question to ask.
The New Covenant in Jesus has its own concepts, teachings, philosophy, and way of life. Of course, there are many similarities because it is the same God who gave both. But if we're going to ask the question if Christians can eat what was called unclean meat, you have to find that instruction in the New Testament, not go off what the Old Testament said.
The New Testament never teaches that Christians are to follow Old Testament dietary standards, anymore than that Christians have to follow Old Testament cleanliness laws. The same logic that is being used to say Christians need to follow Old Testament dietary law could easily be applied to cleanliness laws. But I don't see them doing that.
The Law is a schoolmaster that brought us to Christ. We are in Christ now, not the law.

However, my zeal to please the great “ I Am” reinforced my commitment to follow his dietary laws. The clean VS unclean restrictions are not only biblical, but also scientifically sound in terms of health & well being. I have noticed more than a few improvements in my health since I started following TMH’s dietary laws.

As Paul said nothing is unclean in itself. It is sanctified by prayer and thanksgiving. What God has cleansed no one should call common or unclean. Jesus made it clear that is not what goes into our mouths that defiles us, because it goes into the stomach. But what comes out of our mouths, because it comes from the heart. Did he ever give us an example of him eating unclean meats? NO! I wish that were totally so. However unfortunately we cannot and do not raise all our foods icluding live stock like in biblical times according to Leviticus. Thankfully some changes were brought above in live stock farming in the U.S.A. like using less antibiotic or hormone use in the last decade or so. Free range, a contemporary craze, probably was the normal according to Leviticus.

Says one person believes He may eat ANYTHING and judgement shouldn't be passed on them. You talked about eating meat but avoided the fact that is says ANYTHING.

You missed Genisis 1:29-30. The original diet that God gave us upon creation, when we were made in his image! Before he gave us the diet of the fallen after the flood and cut our life span from 900ish years to 120 years.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. By the current interpretation given in this video, if Peter were to have accepted the Lord's offer he would be sinning and would have been led to sin by the Lord! People love religion because it gives us a reason to boast of ourselves but Ephesians does say we are saved by Faith not by works of the law so that none should BOAST... We are created for good works though but when i see good works i look at Dorcas who took care of widows and also James says pure and UNDEfILED RELIGION is this that you should visit orphans and widows .
If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations- “Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch” ( referring to things that all perish as they are used)-according to human precepts and teachings? We have to study study and study some more because there's alot we think we know . Im not 100% sure but i am still looking into this. We have to come before the scriptures with all humility otherwise it's very easy to get puffed up
And right here is the problem when you start to mix grace with rules and regs. While your faith is not in question and I listen to you and learn, its clear that once you start to go down the route of physical obedience to the letter, there's no stopping point.
This presentation is a perfect example of this; whereas by the grace of God and the Spirit we can read that the religious ones were insinuating that unclean hands contaminate the food, making the food unclean.
This is why Jesus clearly says its not what goes into a mans stomach that makes him unclean, but what comes out of his heart shows he is unclean.
However once you start to look for the law instead of grace, everything reads differently, and I believe you lose something spiritually, there's a fall, so now instead of freedom to eat, you are binding yourself to the physical, and the flesh.
We need to be extremely careful when going 'back' to the Hebrew roots of the faith, so that its not just that - 'going back(wards)'

The context is washing hands, its about eating with unwashed hands. If you cherrypick verses like that, you dont see the context. Food was already established because the Word, being Yeshua, defines what food is in the Torah.

Romans 14: Please read the whole chapter. Paul is states he is convinced that nothing is unclean.
1 ¶ Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 1 ¶ As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 2 One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables.

Vernon Bilyeu I wondered the same thing. In discussion with some of the folks that follow this teacher I found they toss out the writings of Paul. The book of Galatians is a good read for anyone looking to find righteousness in their own works rather than accept the gift of righteousness from Jesus Christ.
Lets consider 'who' was being addressed in the letter to the Romans. It was the Romans, who were coming into the faith. They did not know the ways of God, so they were unfamiliar and 'weak in the faith'.
Starting in 14:1, we are instructed to receive and accept the newcomers to the faith. They are learning, and it is not up to us to berate, condemn, or chastise them.
In verse 2, reads as "One 'weak in the faith' person believes he can eat all things, where another 'weak in the faith' person eats only herbs." This clearly shows, that neither of them know for sure, what is or is not clean, or acceptable in the way of handling, slaying, or consuming food, as instructed by God.
Verse 3, speaks of not letting this become a point of contention between those that are 'weak in the faith'. In other words, it is a case of the blind leading the blind, and bickering between themselves, is pointless.
Verse 4, is more of a 'judge not, lest ye be judged' statement. It is not our place as men, to condemn any man that is trying to learn the ways of God. In time, God will show these people how to walk upright, according to his laws.
Verse 5, again, these people are new to God's ways. Having served many gods, and committed many abominations in their servitude to those gods. They do not yet know the moedim, (Holy days, declared by God). These former pagans, have had many days devoted to different aspects or gods. "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it."
The impetus of Romans 14, can be summed up, in this one verse.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
If someone is coming back into God's ways, these ways may seem very foreign to them. We should be gentle, and guide them, with kindness, and the regular reading of the Torah, in the synagogues, each Sabbath. In time, they will eventually come to know God's ways. What is hurtful, is to berate one, who is learning, only to have them turn back to their pagan ways and gods.
So, no, Lex did not 'toss out the writings of Paul'. Peter warned us the Paul's letters can be difficult, to those that are 'weak in the faith'. Often, those of the christian church, do not know God's laws, or feel that they have been abolished. Yet, we see the Jews and gentiles alike, being taught the same law, in the synagogues, on the Sabbath.
But that doesn't happen anymore... somewhere along the way, the Jews continued in their oral traditions, and the christians outright abandoned the law of Moses (law of God), the Sabbath, and the synagogues. The pagans, went back to worshiping their many gods.

There is plenty of scientific evidence against the consumption unclean meats which are explicitly defined by the Holy Bible. Most of that research is well documented by the Seventh-Day Adventist church.
I have had this debate with folks and they always say Paul says gentiles are not bound by the old laws, and I point out that Jesus says he didn't come to abolish the law. And I ask them, since there is a question about who is right, what is the safest route?

YAHUAH GOD wants his people to be healthy that is why he gave us the list of what should be eaten.....I don't eat unclean animals at all....I like vegetarian meat made of soy or vegetables....thank Elohim...for giving us instructions of what we should and shouldn't eat..

The OLD TESTAMENT said not to eat those animals. Are we under the Old Testament? NO! Was it called an "abomination?" Yes! You use the argument of "homosexuality." It was forbidden under the Old Testament and called an "abomination." But, we don't have any scripture in the New Testament where God says it's now suddenly okay. Rather, we have Romans chapter 1, where Paul says it's "unclean" and "defiling."

Just so we’re clear, the laws given in the holy Torah, from Mt. Sinai to the end of Deuteronomy, are for the Israelites and Israelites alone. Non-Jews/Israelites are not compelled to follow them.

Matthew 15:11 “Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”
And this chapter is talking about the traditions of MEN of ritualistic hand washing believe to make a man defiled if he did not wash before the eating of BREAD which is not a law of God. Yahusha was calling them out for holding traditions of their elders more than God. This verse has absolutely nothing to do with clean and unclean foods!
The way I see it , God gave us a list of unclean foods in The Old Testament. I believe he didn’t come to nullify it but to confirm it! I believe that God is incapable of making biblical law then say that it is to be removed. That would mean that He is capable of making a wrongful law or commandment. That is impossible for Him to do. He commands us from Adam to now with the same laws and has NEVER rescinded any law or commandment.

Act 15:20-21 "But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day."
The first 4 are essentials for new believers, whereas the REST of the Law of Moses will be learned by studying every Sabbath. Simple!

Deut. 17:6? I think Peter and Paul confirm the message clearly. I wonder how meat is being defined? Is Paul in 1 timothy saying that the deception that would take place would be to avoid vegetables and things that are beneficial to us? Read Gen 1:29. Paul in 1 Timothy 4:1-6 is speaking in prophetic terms about "later times" (meaning our times). The key of understanding what the issue being addressed is verse 3: "They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth." Do you know a certain church that forbids its priests to marry and tell people to abstain from meat on certain days? There is no such teaching in the Bible (Peter, the supposed 1st pope was married). These are human tradition, “deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” that’s what I think Paul is talking about here.
@@Gheorghe99 Thanks for your view. This has been my thoughts on this passage of Scripture. Being born and raised Roman Catholic and saved at 28 from a belief that teaches works salvation. These are the things we were taught all our lives. Praise Jesus that salvation is in Him and Him alone. And I praise Him that my wonderful wife followed soon after, being born-again less than a year later. Our God is so good!

I've been born again for 42 years have been filled with the spirit through the baptism of the holy spirit for almost 42 years. I have studied his word I have regular praise worship and fellowship and I'm not just talking once a week. I have received an enormous amount of wisdom and insight from the Lord about his word and Kingdom living. I don't have a video page on UA-cam because I understand that if you are going to preach publicly you are going to be held accountable for every word you speak to people and your causing them to stumble will be held against you all you need to do is read the word to see that what I'm telling you is true. Far too many men are on social media using the name of the Lord their God in vain and misleading people and causing them to stumble

Acts 15 dealt with this issue. Gentiles were accepted by God as they were. He didn’t expect them to take on Jewish diet and circumcision.
