This is one of my favorite aviation videos as it gives the student a good chance to observe the landing system of lights. Unfortunately the color isn't as strong as it would be in your shot the video in HD
...lights all the way...city lights...approach...glide slope...indicators....runways....taxiways...to final 'park' and 'cut engines'... way more lites than a hang glider!
Absolute perfect landing. You can see that the pilot is everytime staying on a good vertical profile. And the Flare. WOW! Many pilots are "overflaring" the aircraft but in this video the flare is genius!
much flatter glide slope than I can achieve with hang glider (unless I have a strong tail wind, in which case I must get turned into the wind to land anyhow) !
i flew in real life once instead of FSX... the graphics were unreal but the game play was very boring... I could not find the simulation rate button god dammit... and what is with me actually having to talk to ATC??!!
Tolles Video! 5*
here's a trick.. place your mouse cursor (pointy finger) on where you think the centre line of the runway is. then. leave it until the end of the clip and see where you end up. i forgot to mention, start from ;36.
i live 3 blocks from my nearest international airport and the runway and the runway too is facing me and i live in the 5th floor i can see the runway and planes landing soo cool and i like runway lights at night hehe
@WENGERGOONER Yeah, but videomaker could show, what speed was in landing process, what altitude was when began landing and also some other parameters of landing process.
This is the best flitesim:) Excellent scenery:) You have the usually best flite vids here:) Only things I miss the cockpit instruments - but its just my opinion:) Ciao
I just wonder why airport could not improve visibility for foggy condition . is there any lighting system that could make the runway visibility better ? I mean is it possible that there is some lighting system that make the visibility to 500m ? we are living in the year of 2016 but the lighting system or the visibility or runway is this bad ? of course we depend on electronics landing system . But , why blind ? we do not have this technology ? no strong lights ?
I am sure that electronics , infrared devices and auto pilot serve very well and reliable. Just from point of view of a layman. Pilots are trained to rely on electronics . Heard Tesla models are using auto drive recently , it is inevitable that we are to drive without hands and eyes. I think my sons just need " come on , I am in conjunction of 23,24 st." driving skill shifts to ordering skill . so are the Pilots . "Land here , I am on the no. 3 runway of JFK " Cheers
Most large airports send out a radio signal that can be picked up by the aircraft and helps them line up with the runway long before they see it in low visibility situations.
you hit the mark perfectly on the landing. cant get any better.
awesome , the aviation surprises me a little more every day , beautiful approach , and great landing ..Dublin is really awesome
I completely agree to what Flythetube said..No Music Makes it look like you are almost in the Cockpit..Good Job and please add more. Best Wishes...
Are they dropping coins into the meter ?
I wish i was a pilot....this is brilliant,thanks for posting..
Beautiful landing in a beautiful city!
Wonderful video, I love these sparkling lights in the night!
Not Ryanair. They don't park at Area B in Terminal 1 at Dublin, which is where this plane parked
its lufthansa
Its a boeing of some sort judging by the sound of the trim and the callout of flaps being 15 and 30 rather than 3 and 4 for an airbus.

Beautiful landing, view!!!!!!!! Congrats!!
i can see my house :)
Americans should note that most European airports, large or small, do not have rotating beacons.
excellent video ! Amazing when u consider it .
nice video and yes it is real iam from dublin i now the airport inside out
Perfect landing. So nice.
nice vid, like the sound of the trim wheels, better than music, trim wheels are music !!
2 people think that the landing was bad....amazing vid
Looks so magical!! =D
Cool vid, great job.
totally agree music is usually loud and annoying
love dublin :)

Which airplane is this??? I'm a pilot student and never seen those ground announcements before "900 remaining", "approaching 34"
good video of dublin airport
Its the RAAS system telling them they have 900m remaining. Another call at 600m and then at 30m.
Without words
much flatter glide slope than I can achieve with hang glider (unless I have a strong tail wind, in which case I must get turned into the wind to land anyhow) !
That was awesome, thanks!
So cool!!!!!!!!!
i flew in real life once instead of FSX... the graphics were unreal but the game play was very boring... I could not find the simulation rate button god dammit... and what is with me actually having to talk to ATC??!!
It looks so amazingly slow and graceful but I know they're moving fast! Great!!
@phi9891 Indeed, I am tired of flight sim/fake videos here. At least they could label them as such and not waste other people's time. Enjoyed this.
Is it only me? the autopilot sounds like its angry when the pilot disconnect it even in the Callout... compare to other planes. lol
See the orange light on the right hand side just as the plane comes over dublin? Well the bulb is gone in it now.
@Aviationnation10
I do not think that it is airbus .. listen when the pilot land to the call of 30,20,10.....
What Aircraft, Airline, and Flight was this?
BTW, Good Video.
Connor Richardson There's no evidence that it's a 738..
Connor Richardson The trim sounds very much like the 737
Thought this was an helicopter approaching...haha
is it hard to do night hard to do night approaches with all the city lights
Tolles Video!
5*
What plane was that?
Captain, is this a 737NG or 738 Series? May i ask what is the difference between NG and the normal 737's.
I want to see the cockpit on a cokpit landing...
here's a trick.. place your mouse cursor (pointy finger) on where you think the centre line of the runway is. then. leave it until the end of the clip and see where you end up. i forgot to mention, start from ;36.

Do landing gear wheels ever damage the lights on the runways and taxiways?
if you drag your mouse across the bottom it looks cool
Can anyone tell me what the '900 remaining' meant at 5:23 ?
Fantastic, amazing night view of the city and great landing. Big Super Like!!!
Boeing 737, and being DUB I would say it's Ryanair.
its its very very interesting interesting video video... well its dublin... get it.
Surely this wasnt Alaskan airlines? Right? What airline was it?
Great video. I love Dublin Airport
@barrycee123 It absolutely is. That guy stopped him a tad quick though, I like to make it smooth and comfortable for the passengers =)
@WENGERGOONER Yeah, but videomaker could show, what speed was in landing process, what altitude was when began landing and also some other parameters of landing process.

@diocleziano01 : They only have boeing 737...

+Wm Sin Most Modern Commercial Airplane are at present time certified to land with a visibility as low as 75m!
I am sure that electronics , infrared devices and auto pilot serve very well and reliable.

Most modern airports have ILS system in place witch help the pilot land
Most large airports send out a radio signal that can be picked up by the aircraft and helps them line up with the runway long before they see it in low visibility situations.
ILS Approaches are not necessarily automatic landings. If you don't have low visibility operation, most of the landings are flown manually.
@santgil
I cannot do that. Sorry. The participating crews do not want to be on the video
Speaking as the guy marshalling in the plane, it's a pleasure to actually see what the view is from the cockpit ...
is that a dash 8
How did u flim these?
@WENGERGOONER
I do have to add music, at least part-time. I have no choice!
flythetube Why do you have no choice in the music issue? Does UA-cam require it?
i think it means 900 feet of runway left
it looks slow, how fat were u guys going
My guess is that its a boeing 737-300 from lufthansa, because of the old trim wheel and the RAAS;))
They cut out the audio when they say their tail number. Probably would get them in trouble if people knew.
it is REAL...not flight sim people...
Thanks for another GREAT video!
Very nice . . .
Where are all the beer bottles?
What type of A/C is this?
parking at the old terminal
GOOD CALL-OUTS, NICE TRANSITION, THE WEATHER LOOKS GOOD, THE CREWS DREAM.
ILS does the approach
what airline was this?
Mind telling us what type of equipment they are flying
To protect the identities of his participating crews.
why some of the part of the video is muted?
this game is amazing
your not serious camera jiggle all over the place
how do you balance the ceamra on the dash?
"well, it must have been a very clear night that day" Roger to that, and thanks for sharing!
FSX God Pack (for those who believes this is flightsim) Lovely video, thanks flythetube!
Awesome video
drag your mause over the time video's timeline :P
my gutters could do with a clean :~) nice vid
nice video
Awesome video thanks!!! what airline was it??
nice video
That's a great view of the city. Don't mind my youtube name
This is the Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt that stays over night. Either a320 or a321
correct. but at the time of this video Lufthansa didn't use airbus aircraft to Dublin. but yes its the same flight
nice...
what aircraft is this 320 OR 737?
i was there, landing about 3 months ago
WHAT VERSION OF FLIGHTSIM IS THIS??
Well done guy, good video. keep the good work
