The Crescent's can take a significant beating on the bottom so I would not be too worried about babying the bottom of this Kayak. Welcome to the Crescent club!
That’s awesome. I picked one up too. Pretty easy to get a little padding for the pups in the front. The deck pads they sell are a nice addition to the cockpit and rear tank well. It’s been a fun little kayak in the river. I still haven’t got it on a lake yet but I’m sure I will this summer.
Everybody needs a Primo! I'm thinking about the pads from Crescent. For now, I've added a little deck for the mutts and a few strips of grip tape. Want to spend more time and think about options yet.
Thanks for your review! I’ve been searching for an open deck kayak with chair seating that I can take my small dogs along. I’ve considered Crescent, Bonafide, NuCanoe… so glad I waited because the Primo hits that sweet spot and is relatively affordable!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I'm trying to decide between the Primo and the CK1. Both look similar, aside from the price. But it looks like this Primo tracks very well for a 10 foot boat. And the fact that you've got three "navigators" with you makes me think my two will do just fine.
It's all about room for navigators! CK looks like a great choice too. For me, I wanted to stay light and max 10 feet. Big fan of Crescent for sure though!
I hope you dig your Primo too! I'm not familiar with Moken, so I dunno how it will compare. I definitely think the Primo is an awesome boat though, for sure!
Hey thanks for the review(old lady with thunder thighs here 😂) What cart are you using that’s sitting in the back of your boat? I bought a primo and despite being able to lift 60 lbs fairly easily I’m finding it challenging to move this boat on my own.Thinking of adding a cart to help me get it to the water from my trailer. The store I bought my boat from only sells yak attack models and they are quite pricey($300). Love the review….we brought our mutt with us and despite having no eyes she still seemed to enjoy the trip.Lots of room for her to sit between dad’s legs and enjoy the fresh air!
@@RythymJunky My Dad built the first version of the cart I use. I modified it for the Primo. We found a PDF with instructions to make it online. It's not to complicated and parts are at Home Depot. Besides being cheaper, it can also be customized to your needs. I've made a lot of mods! I put a long handle on the cart so I can hold up the Primo from the back then roll the wheels under. I know they in the right place when the handle is even with the back of the kayak and in that position I can run the tie strap through the handles to keep it from sliding anywhere.

@@HikingFreak 😂😂 Yep, probably! I'll still baby it though! 🤓

Thanks for the first impressions. I just ordered my own primo to replace my moken 10v2 and hoping for a pretty good improvement over the moken.
