I look again from time to time for videos of au pairs in Venice, which is where I'd like to work at least once in my life. I'm glad to finally find one with pretty comprehensive content. Thank you sister! Upload again soon, if you can - and thank you for respecting your host family's privacy.

Hi! I used Au Pair World. I find its the simplest one to use and, in my opinion, the most trustworthy.

How likely or possible is it for a late 30's male person to become an Au Pair in Europe? I am thinking of finding ways to take a sabbatical year from work and becoming an Au Pair or teacher's assistant seems like great opportunities, but I am an older male individual. Any suggestions/recommendations?

      Hi!
Unfortunately it can be harder for a man to find an Au Pair job than a women, but it is not impossible by any means! I suggest using Au Pair World and finding a family who is looking for either a man or women to work for them. This part just comes down to the parents preferences.
When it comes to age, it really just depends on what type of VISA you can obtain. Depending on what country you are looking into going to, check into the age limits for a work VISA. This will let you know what your options are.
As a US citizen, you can visit Europe for 90 days without a VISA (which they actually refer to as a tourist VISA).
That being said- it is possible to find a 3 month Au Pair position.
Of course, you would be on a tourist VISA, not a working VISA so you are not suppose to actually be working. I am not telling you to work while on a tourist VISA, I am just stating the facts.
If you are looking to be a teacher's assistant, and want to be in Europe for a full year, I suggest checking out Language assistant programs in Europe- Spain specifically has a few. You could also teach English in Europe if you want to go down this road as well.
I hope that helps! Good luck in your search!

Please how will I apply on aupair visa?

Hi! The VISA you will need to apply for will depend on what country you are going to. There are Au Pairs who work on a working VISA, and some on a student VISA.
Find the country you want to go to, and look into the types of VISAs that are available to you, in order to let you work in that country. Each one will have different requirements to apply.
