One commentator noted that "Bakker arranged for Falwell to take over PTL in March in an effort to avoid what he called a 'hostile takeover' of the television ministry by people threatening to expose a sexual encounter he admitted to having seven years earlier with church secretary Jessica Hahn." According to Hahn, on the afternoon of December 6, 1980, when she was a 21 year-old church secretary, Bakker and another preacher, John Wesley Fletcher drugged her and raped her for "about 15 minutes". Hahn stated she overheard Bakker say afterward to another PTL staffer, "Did you get her too?" Also my 91 year old mother still buys stuff off of him that I told her instead of paying 100000% markup! She could get the same thing at Walmart! But she will not listen to me... My Mother still has a ton of LP's and hundreds of Books and all kinda of PTL CRAP! Jim has said we can still use our memberships in Bronson but I bet it's not going to be 30,000 each worth of a vacation! Also another reason he went to prison is he was double and in some cases triple selling time shares! I think I should sell all the PTS LP's, Books, Cassette Tapes, and music books. I am not mad at him for the stuff he did in the 80's I am pissed over the stuff he is doing now. All he did in prison was just learn ho to rob Christians in a legalized way! What Jim and Tammy started off being a small venture of doing good became a machine in/of itself and the machine not only took on a life as PTL but it also took the lives of Jim and Tammy with it. PTL became like a political machine where it gets too big to keep a handle on things and it spins on its own axis. Way back I never understood how Heritage USA was offering $1000.00 for a lifetime of vacations.....it never added up; with PTL broadcasting all over the country on satellite TV hitting hundreds of thousands if not millions of viewers........and with production costs and satellite time not being cheap....it was not logical to think it could be true that there would be more rooms than donors as it was a great lifetime vacation package. But I suspect people wanted to believe in the concept that it was possible somehow.... and many do love to root for the underdog to succeed in spite of all odds against it. Tammy sings...Don't give up, were on the brink of a miracle.....that is a great song of hope living in reality world of "not going to get better" heath prognosis......plus the show was fun to watch.....it provided many hours of entertainment to the ill and elderly who looked forward to the show daily. I am sure there were people who sent in money to PTL that didn't have it to send.....that was truly horrible. I don't know if there was any review of contributors sending in large donations or what adds up to a combination of donations to say these are large contributors but there should have been something available, and would have it been used to safeguard folks back then? I only hope that organizations have some type of red flagging program in place to detect this today to avoid problems by over contributing but really unable contibutors. Computers and software..plus regulations I hope can help to protect the innocent.

I can't watch the movie. I started to . I never really knew what happened to cause all the trouble. I don't want to know. When we give money to God it is from our heart. Satan deceives mankind by appealing to man's pride and making the second commandment number one and disregarding the first. He then dresses up iniquity as a "social agenda"; if it's "good" for society then it's "good". When that happens anything goes and sin can become the law of the land. Sparta was a militaristic city-state in ancient Greece where the duty of all males was to serve in the military. If a male child was born deformed, and therefore unable to fight, he was killed for the greater societal good. Sparta therefore violated the first and great commandment-to love God which entails keeping His commandments-in favor of a social agenda; murder. Satan's tactic is the same today, legislating the murder of children and same sex "rights" under the social agenda label. But no individual, or nation, has the "right" to make laws that violate divine law. By disguising iniquity as civil rights, Satan deceives the whole world. Love fulfils the requirements (law)
God (Christ) is Love
We were not able to fulfil the law (thus being self righteous which is a filthy ragged ) because the love of God was not in us.
We love because God first loved us
So now the requirements have been fulfilled by LOVE therefore we need not to look up to the law ( self righteousness )but to Christ.
If that love(Christ) dwells in us then we have fulfilled the law simply because Christ has fulfilled it in us.
