Tom could find a way to be stoked standing in line at the DMV. He and Christina together are a match made in video heaven. PB did themselves a massive favor not letting Tom leave after the academy.
Good chemistry with these two, you can tell they have fun riding together. Just like a good day riding with your friends, just laughs and jokes and a few whoops thrown in!
Stoked for more ideas from both of you! This video really shows the experience I had of searching for trails in a new home after I moved just before shutdown. Glad to be at a point where I can connect with riders and get toured around. Although I can't wait to get up to BHAM to ride, I think I'll skip that climb.
Feet are used in place of meters because it makes the climb look more impressive. Miles are used to make the hike seem shorter. That's why I clock my speed using Km/h. Makes me look 1.6 times faster.
Would love to go for a ride with you 2. Stoke levels are always high. Just riding down to the shop would be fun with Tom and Christina. Love your work.
Nice job guys on the video. Wow your loop up the hiking trail to pine and cedar lake was right on point for your title of this video. When I first moved to Bellingham 21 years ago I rode that loop and have never done it since sooooo many better options. So steep its a push your bike hiking trail. I have ridden the down trails you took a few times as well. Since I have ridden that loop of trails you did, I have to let everyone else know..... every other trial around, literally every option (100 miles of other trials ) are better than that ride in Bellingham area. Ok I guess there is one, If you like a worse trail, try the Ridge trail right on top of the ridge you went up to, its a true trials ride and a way to punish your self if you like that kind of thing. Congrats you guys did a great job making it look like a good fun ride which was the point of the video.
Around me, there are only lesser-ridden trails. Zero actual mtb tracks, but I can access an endless lifetime of tractor scars from logging. They're surprisingly fun when you find good ones, but a day out exploring comes with no guarantees of a single decent run, lol. Afaik, I'm the only mountain biker here, except for some folks riding XC on the fire roads. But the dirt and terrain is incredible, just need the decades of development like Bellingham has!
Pine and Cedar Lakes is tough to climb! The Bellingham mountaineers do a weekly slog up it for them hiking muscles. I was gonna laugh if you did east lost trail into 'Access Trail' on the south side it's pretty brutal.
This looks like so many of the Pacific NW trails. I love climbing!!! But it is the downhill that you are climbing for!!! That you for taking us along with you. :)
Haha! I knew the name of that area sounded familiar- it's right by Larrabee State Park Campground, an EXCELLENT place to camp and check out the coast when visiting. Visiting to ride the GOOD trails that is xD
I was looking for an mtb since last year October. Crazy, couldn't find anything anywhere. Yet, finally yesterday I was able to purchase a Marin rift zone 3. So happy 😃 and I can't wait for the spring to start ☀️🚴
That was Super enjoyable to watch. Maybe not the MOST enjoyable to ride, but isn't it all about the Adventure? Great attititudes you guys. Love it. Bring us MORE!!
There are much better ways to the top.....😄Hush / Hush is a great trail.....missed Double Black / Double Down and Upper Ridge.....next time (after Chappetta's knee heals).
Every trail hub has that one access road you COULD ride up, but the grade sucks ass and the scenery blows. Single track climbs are nearly always superior.
@@angeloderpate1577 Thanks! I've taken that bike on many many mega huge days (for me anyway) and even with the coil shock, I'm always happy to have it! -Christina

I love this series. Please reach out to Evergreen MTB on IG. Local WA state non-profit that builds trails all around the state. The best trails are Duthie Park and Port Gamble Trails, strongly suggest a short 3 hour drive down! Yewwww

Thanks heaps! I have to admit, I have never stood in a DMV line, it could be my ultimate test - Tom
I agree, what a gem of a video
Tom just changed his Garmin from Celsius to pounds! He's on a different level! 🤣
How do I change it back?!?!?! - Tom

Proper sufferfest. That's what PNW winters are for!
Awesome ❤❤😊
Definitely on my hit list, especially the climb!
Anybody see the mouse run by at 14:33?

Kazimer’s the real deal eh?
They didn't even ride up "The Wall" yes its name is "The Wall"
Hey the measurement of the foot came from England.
Double Down was one of my favorites in that trail system. Haven't ridden there in 4 years though. May have changed.
Tell you what, bet I know what else be dank out there. 😏
Bring back the Meta HT
I thought you were both Orbea riders?
Whats not to like......
Yeah, Bellingham's worst is better than most.
Climbs are usually unpopular. I personally love climbs provided those climbs are with an uplift service.
climbing Pine and Cedar.... hahahahahahaahhaha
