That jumping was truly impressive on the 12". Shame they couldn't find one with more grip. How he didn't otb on the tech, or have the wheel slide out more...
Great video! If only you could swap the forks too to keep headtube position same: imagine that trolley caster of a wheel on 400mm travel, tracking every.single.root
I lost a tooth doing exactly this in the 80s but with a race bike with cow horn bars and a chipper front wheel (kids version of a chopper), popped a wheel and saw the front wheel disappear down the road to over the bars and face brake on the tarmac. great times
Blake should put a long travel, downhill fork with that 12" wheel. It would essentially be a chopper bike like people built in the 70's out of Schwinn Crates.
Feels great. Im running full gear FF helmet, kneepads, body armor etc when running a Red and black lines. Blake does it in T-shirt with a regular helmet and trying reverse mullet.... INSANE. How much have you paid heaven for not taking you? ;) Great as always. Hope to meet you some day.
Oh my the most favorite: Multi-Blake vid! To be completely honest, I am not sure what gives me more goosebumps: 12" of size, or that non-existing tread 😀 What a pitty it was spoiled in very begining 12" was to come. Shame on you, editor-Blake! 😀
Blake just proving, if you are good enough, you can have fun and ride well on any bike. Geometry etc etc really doesn't matter that much if you are not racing.
That's what I been saying....more tire in the back =more hair in the back......think "misfits".... You "DEVIL LOCK" your bike What this vid shows is the true "mullet".
Blake is an incredible rider... both regarding his technic and his fitness... Inspiring because it shows how much the RIDER is what makes the difference
This is the content we've been craving! Of course the pathetic thing is Blake is better on a bike with that tiny front wheel than I am on a normal 29'r.
Laughing my freaking arse off the whole video. Blake is the perfect person for this kind of thing. His personality along with his ongoing commentary is priceless
Love the video so funny and awesome! I have an idea I would LOVE to see, a multiple part bike build culminating in an actual race somewhere. The presenters have £1000 to buy a bike knowing that any remainder cash is going back into the bike for upgrades so they buy bikes meet up and do some challenges, perhaps a bike packing challenge, then they upgrade, do the same challenges again and eventually all enter a legit race to see who’s best. Also get tech presenters involved as well, would be awesome to see what the techies do that’s different. What you think? Love all your content!!
We have all wondered and thank you Blake for finding out! I mean, how could we have known the party in the front and business in the back would be a horrible idea in anything but a nightclub!
A million years ago when I was 12-ish, I put a shopping cart wheel on my 24” wheeled bike. Those were the days when your pedals fell apart and ended up pedaling around on the spindles.
I'm crying my eyes out with laughter, yet completely petrified for OTBs which thankfully didn't happen. I bow to you Blake! You crazy, beautiful, wacko adrenaline king.
Blake you are an incredibly brave man, thanks for putting it all out there for our entertainment & edification! Side note on the history of mullet bikes: when Cannondale first started making mountain bikes in the mid 80s, the first models were all mullets. 26" in the front, 24" in the back. Because your heels would clip any cantelever brake of the day, they put a BMX sidepull brake on the rear. It was an interesting solution to the problem, but not a very good one, on steep downhills things got pretty terrifying very quickly.
OMG! Can't look!!! 😱 The rolling power of 29 at the back plus the steering effectiveness of 27.5 at the front. 🤔 With that kind of wheels!!! Sir Guy must have been one of the best biker out there??? 👍🏻😱
Anyone else run really low pressures?.. I run 10.5psifront/12psi rear(also using tubes 😅)on my Cube Stereo Hybrid 160. I'm 80kg. (haven't had a puncture yet 🤞)
Small wheel on front, big wheel on rear, look like a bike made by hotwheels. 😂 And that Mullet mechanic guy reminds me of Sam Pilgrim. 😅🤙 Btw, still riding my 24s until now. 😎🔥🤙
Mr. Blake”reverse-mullet” Samson, now you’ve really done it! 😂 I give you an excellent on the stupidity-scale and a magnificent on the entertainment-scale. 🍾😅
Just based on the mullet wig turned around for long hair in the front and short hair in the back, we should call 29er fronts and 27.5 back wheel "mullet" bikes "Karens"...
Something you could've done to improve stability on the smaller wheels is get a fork with the axle tabs offset to the rear instead of the front. That increases mechanical trail, which makes the tire want to track straighter more easily. Definitely a requirement as the progressively smaller diameter tires steepen your rake angle and reduce trail naturally. EDIT: Yeah, that 12" is so bad it looks like it literally has ZERO trail.
Gotta figure out a way to put a 12 inch wheel on the rear too! Would look insane on a full size, full suspension MTB! Maybe internal 3 speed hub, remember those?
You skipped 16" and went straight to 12". Must have been entertaining to build a wheel with an equivalent rotor diameter. I'm amazed it didn't get bent up!
It's always so fun to watch blake do weird stuff
Indeed love it
Not wired at all this scientific research 👍🏼
Blake is turning into sam pilgrim and I’m here for it
yeah when I saw that thumbnail I knew it had to be Blake
I was wondering the other day what it would be like to ride MTB with motorbike style mixed wheels!
Dusty, where have you been!
Are the ideas for your videos now written by Sam Pilgrim?
How Sam Pilgrim didn’t already think of this blows my mind. Also thought mullet man was Dusty for a sec 😂
Me too!
Me three.
I can almost see a Dusty Guy & Blake Mullet vid coming on. 😂
Totally thought you were ribbing him for blatantly ripping off dusty guy
Maybe we should get them together for some joint “projects” (aka carnage)
Sam would have said it's absolute death, followed by it's actually the best thing ever.
Holy crap, Blake deserves some kind of award for most ludicrous video. Is there any bike he can't jump?
Recumbent or cargo bike...see if he can jump?
the best one was a gravel bike haha and the edit they did haha
That jumping was truly impressive on the 12". Shame they couldn't find one with more grip.
How he didn't otb on the tech, or have the wheel slide out more...
Blakes skill really proves to be top tier here. If any of us tried this we would be in trouble.
The madman didn't have a full face helmet or anything. I would have eaten so much dirt trying that.
Blake isn't just an outstanding rider, he's also a fantastic actor. Love Mr. Mull Mech
The last one should be named „The T. Rex Bike“😉.
😂😂😂😂👍👍
😂😂😂 100%. Missed that call
He's just riding a Penny Farthing backwards.
Blake's significant ability as a rider shines through here....impressive control through this entire experiment...well done!
What did I just watch 😳😳😳
Mad respect to the camera guy running uphill alongside Blake, and not a huff or a puff out of them!
But maybe invest in a drone to spare your crew? :P
Drone that close would ruin the audio 🤣
That 12 inches climb had me in stitches 😂
Great video! If only you could swap the forks too to keep headtube position same: imagine that trolley caster of a wheel on 400mm travel, tracking every.single.root
With a father like Blake, Charlie doesn't need a playmate 🙂
😂😂
@@Zimblake He is a very lucky little man ❤️
Seems to me that the 12" wheel needs 400mm handle bars to go with it. It would make it the ultimate OTB machine.
I lost a tooth doing exactly this in the 80s but with a race bike with cow horn bars and a chipper front wheel (kids version of a chopper), popped a wheel and saw the front wheel disappear down the road to over the bars and face brake on the tarmac. great times

Blud blake looks jacked
Next time, do dusty's Aussie cousin Rusty.
That's what I been saying....more tire in the back =more hair in the back......think "misfits"....
You "DEVIL LOCK" your bike
What this vid shows is the true "mullet".
Blake's an amazing rider, if he wasn't there GMBN wouldn't be able to put these crazy videos together.
I was waiting at the end to see blake finish with a roller blade wheel
Blake truly shows his entertainment expertise and his skills as a rider. How does he come up with this stuff? Thought I saw everything.
The charm of Hammond and the ridiculousness of Clarkson
The 12" front just needed longer forks, slacker heard angle & some ape hanger bars - Born to be Wild!
Blake is an incredible rider... both regarding his technic and his fitness...
Inspiring because it shows how much the RIDER is what makes the difference
That was crazy!
What next?
How short cranks can you ride?
Shout out for Dave Jenvey. I miss that guy.
seeing that little wheel made me think could you make a super moto mtb?
This is the content we've been craving!
Of course the pathetic thing is Blake is better on a bike with that tiny front wheel than I am on a normal 29'r.
Is this channel becoming a seths bike hacks / berm peak clone?

Like this idea. Cheers Sam
@@Zimblake awesome video mate love yours and the guys content 👍🏼
Would that last bike be a "fenny-parthing" then?
This seems like something that Sam Pilgrim would do.
Huh, this guy does dusty too? 🤔🤷♂️
Should have GCN do this same challenge
I'd love to see 20 back 29er front. Impossible to climb but downhill?
Pretty sure he did that exact video a while back...

Haha so true. 😂
Bro is tryin to be the next sam pilgrim😂💀
This was absolutely premium material!!! Blake is a crazy beast! If I ever to meet you good sir, your adult beverage is on me!
Blake always manages to have a good time! 😂
This should be a challenge in all DH competitions to keep things fun
A million years ago when I was 12-ish, I put a shopping cart wheel on my 24” wheeled bike. Those were the days when your pedals fell apart and ended up pedaling around on the spindles.
I love how he sends it like he is a videogame character who will just respawn back on the bike with no injuries, absolute savage
I'm crying my eyes out with laughter, yet completely petrified for OTBs which thankfully didn't happen. I bow to you Blake! You crazy, beautiful, wacko adrenaline king.
Blake showing us how skills > setup. What a madman! Lekker Blake! Send it!
We love that ridiculous stuff! Give us some more! 👏😁
bleke is the sam pilgrim of gmbn 😅✌️

Ridiculous! I love it.
"Oh my heart...." *Glances at watch* "Well it's at 120".
We truly do live in the future chaps.
Mullet is the correct term, init? Business in the front-29 and party in the back-more nimble 27,5!
And all I can think about is how GMBN has changed helmet sponsors from POC to Smith. 😁
Awesome work lol
Blake....AKA GMBN Goofball! 24" front wheel? Ever try eating Soup with a spoon full of holes.....???just like putting a 24" wheel on the front...
Pilgrim vibes
Only Blake! 😅🤘
Blake and GMBN team, absolute madlads, enjoyed it so much XD
The key difference between GCN and GMBN: GCN wants to make Hank quit. GMBN wants to kill Blake.
This guy's like Sam pilgrim but with a larger vocabulary and 10 different accents
OMG! Can't look!!! 😱
The rolling power of 29 at the back plus the steering effectiveness of 27.5 at the front. 🤔

Blake's videos always has be cracking up! OMGosh!!!
16:44 that laugh💀
Should’ve used a 12” tire that actually has MTB tread like a 12x2.25 Vee Tire Co Crown Gem. 🤓
Still LOLFR... (Laugh Out Loud For Real)
Greetings from the Galilee.
Thought I was clicking on a sam pilgrim video - it's not! I was tricked! Watching no further!
Small wheel on front, big wheel on rear, look like a bike made by hotwheels. 😂 And that Mullet mechanic guy reminds me of Sam Pilgrim. 😅🤙 Btw, still riding my 24s until now. 😎🔥🤙
Imagine putting that 12 " wheel on the rear 🤣🤣🤣,what will happen on the desents😂.Hopefully gmbn staff will see this .
😂 excellent fun. There’s room for everyone having a laugh, Blake, Sam, whoever ! How it should be , zero neg 😁👍🏼
I often ride 700c40 650b47 wtb byway. Just finished putting a new fork on my other bike and it will take a 29 easy 2.8" likely from a 2" 27.5
Mr. Blake”reverse-mullet” Samson, now you’ve really done it! 😂
I give you an excellent on the stupidity-scale and a magnificent on the entertainment-scale. 🍾😅
Blake is just saying, its not about the wheels or the bike, it’s about the skills. Ride at your own skills.
Fox: We only design that fork for 29" wheels
Blakeypoo: Um what? this 12"er fits just fine. I think I'll hit a few jumps! 🤣
That was freaking hilarious!!!
Best presenter ever!!! 👌🤣🤣

Lol....
My tears are flowing, my stomach hurts, 🤣🤣
My favorite part of the 12” up front and the 29” rear is how level the hubs were during the hill climb.
I thought I've seen everything crazy with what sam pilgrim is doing but this is beyond crazy 🤣
16:35 As Path Less Pedalled says: disc brakes are rim brakes.
So essentially your steering head angle is closer to 69°, like my '15 Stumpjumper.
I wish more bike brands made just a 275 version again, way more fun and playful
Mental. Silly as this is, I’ve always agreed the ”mullet” analogy was backward.
The British-American-Surfer-Valley Girl accent is next level, man.
Wow man, blooming brilliant. Nice one Blake. Bye for now dude. 😃🤗✋✌️👍
This is a testament to a quality fork ,wheelbarrows have bigger wheels ,nice mullet ,bevies an but-head go biking now that’s funny 😆 🎉
It’s called a frullet… a front mullet
I read "frullet" as if it was French

It's like the Top Gear of mountain biking! .. so maybe rename the segment as Top Spoke?
Haven’t checked in in awhile, but a mountain biking penny farthing video would be great
"Where's my stunt double?" Definitely expected MullMechan to be in the next shot.
