That's generally good advice, but the fact is, some speakers cost $199, and some speakers cost $20,000. Additionally, price is something that people like to consider, relative to other items on the market... how much does _this_ one cost, compared to the _other_ thing I was looking at... There's no good reason for a product to have a secret price.
Wow, Steve, You sure went above and beyond with these. They sound incredible though the video, as elaborate as they look. How you'll ever be able to offer them for sale is beyond me. Cheers!
The wire inside the speaker is shorter and for development and display purposes is just easier. The production speaker will have the binding posts in the rear or both rear and front depending on what the customer wants.
As stated in the comments below the video, "This is a first test, where we are interested in how fast the speaker is, and it's bass performance. No worries we will have acoustic music and vocals in later demos."
@@decwareproducts Except those are not cabinets. You went way past that. More like a musical instrument. Or else why all the careful crafting and calculations?
"If you have to ask how much it costs, then you can't afford it." Still yet, Decware is far and away THE BEST audio hardware company in the business.

If by some chance you need a review from Australia I would be more than happy to have a pair delivered.
Wow that is such a cool build! Would love to hear it!
I like the chair he sitting in,that’s about it
wait till you hear it on real music.
Finally can see The platinum driver Look forward ur Sound test
Wow, Steve,
You sure went above and beyond with these. They sound incredible though the video, as elaborate as they look. How you'll ever be able to offer them for sale is beyond me. Cheers!
I love my Decware gear.
Wow sounds amazing
Kind of reminds me of a Lowthar design from back in the day
Wow..Fullrange with monster sound
Coaxial for pristine sound quality.
yeah!!!
Beyond awesome. :)
This is a single driver speaker I’d be interested in. Are you planning on making these for sale.
One Pair Lii Song Reference Level 10″ $2199. With the cabinet $4-5k?
Yes, there will be both plans for sale and the finished speaker once we are done with the development and testing. Price is still unknown.
FUTURE HAPPENS... ! 👍✌
Congrats on another great speaker. Will you be selling the plans to these, Like some of the speakers that you do? Especially for those of us overseas.
Yes, there will be plans for this design available on the web site soon.
insane
Wow - love it!!! When are this killerspeakers available???
soon
Thank you 😊
Sound nice 👍⚡
May i ask why the baffle has wings that make the driver baffle circular, is this not the worst possible shape,
Midrange projection and an increase in midrange density is the result of the optional wings.
Thank you sounds great
Love them!
But they looked manageble without the wings and suddendly bulky with the wings. (Im thinking of the Wife A. Factor)
I have to ask this... What would happen if you placed a subwoofer instead of a full range speaker in that same enclousure?
You would have a very bad ass subwoofer.
wow
Why have the connections in the front?

I can't tell much from playing that 'music'

Every angle is closed by a piece of wood like, F , E , G . Any particular reason R isn't ?
F, E, G are part of the horn flare. The angle below R is part of the driver enclosure.
Sounds great! If you like listening to test tones....
Tecnically speaking, wouldn´t this design be a transmision line?
Rear-loaded folded horn - 29Hz.
appreciate the music, take note manufacturers no more Diana Krall for demos always please.
Vocal demo?
There are 12 sound demos in the playlist linked to at the end of this video. Several vocal demos.
Dam !
jesus...isnt the wait list long enough?
My thoughts exactly!
Fortunately our wood workers don't build the amps and this design is for D.I.Y. We will be selling the plans and the drivers.
Sounding really good! I was always told folded horn designs need a long break in.
Cabinets don't break-in, drivers on the other hand certainly do, and the more exotic the longer the break-in.

Where's the bass? It's got no depth!

@@decwareproducts I came from that video. That's what I mean, where's the bass depth. It's loud, but there's no depth! I'll stick with my t-lines.
Give over you fool… I won’t bother explaining why that’s a dumb comment
Music choice for the vid doesn’t convey their naturalness or lack of…but the processed music sure does sound good…but processed.
there will be many videos of acoustic music coming.
@@decwareproducts awesome. And of course. Very intriguing…
Speaker wires out the front is a fail.
Speaker wires are out the back. In this model we have them in the back and the front, because this is a test pair.
