    Thank you, just what I was looking for. Your video is the quickest and simplest.
    Way simpler than converting times into decimals, separate hour/minutes divided by 60 column, converting the decimals back into hours divided by 24 hours in a day.

    Great time sheet. If you'd like to calculate OT, use this formula: '=if(C2

    Thank you for the video. i keep getting this Value error: The MINUS function, parameter 1 expects numeric values, but «10:15» is a text and cannot be forced to a number.
    What do i do?

    Hi but is there any option to show time with miliseconds? I need to compare times from driver A and driver B (minutes:seconds.miliseconds) I've done my best :/

    How would you calculate the final hours worked cells to multiply by hourly rate to $ £ etc?

    • @ModernSchoolBus
      @ModernSchoolBus  2 роки тому

      In this example in the "making a timesheet" section, it would be cell E9 * Hourly rate would equal weekly pay if that is what you are trying to calculate

    • @RobertMalt
      @RobertMalt 2 роки тому +1

      @@ModernSchoolBus That doesn't work. It will give you a correct calculation but formatted in a time format. In this example, if you multiply E9 by $100, you end up with 650:00. If you try to convert to a number or currency format, it ruins the calculation. Must convert either the result or the time to hours. So either E9*100*24 or as an interim step. F9=E9*24 (formatted as a number), then F9*100

      @@RobertMalt Yes! That is a good catch. I did not notice that before.

    I've tried your way of adding time. However, I have values such as 2pm to 4am. The difference comes out as negative. How do you that in that give time?..

    • @ModernSchoolBus
      @ModernSchoolBus  2 роки тому

      Yes, I see now that when you cross midnight the time becomes a negative number. One way to fix this is to add this to the end of your formula "+(End_time

    Do you have a video showing how to calculate the lunch break where the time might vary each day? Like a clock in/clock out situation for lunch as well subtracted from the total time worked? Thanks!

    • @ModernSchoolBus
      @ModernSchoolBus  2 роки тому

      Yes, if you skip to 4:40 in this video I show an example where I create a timesheet. The start time, lunch break, and end time can all vary each day and the formula will calculate the total hours worked
