  • PINE & CRANE DTLA is a casual Taiwanese restaurant located in the South Park neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles. This location follows up the original restaurant in Silver Lake and serves up delicious Taiwanese fare in a comfortable, modern setting. You'll find a variety of small plates, traditional cold appetizers, dumplings, noodles, and rice dishes.

Not so much Yoshi. This restaurant is about an hour drive from where we live. The drinks are usually all drunk by the time we are home :)

I want to go try it but can’t find it on google maps. I only found the one at Silver Lake. Do you remember the cross streets?

A question Chris (you could even cheat and ask the OC Girl for help on this one 😀): Is the Taiwanese food closer to Cantonese, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunam, Shanghai or the Fujian cuisines, or a combination of all of them?
    P.S. Those dishes looked great.

Our first leader brought Chinese chefs and soldiers' family to Taiwan, so the food is like all of China food.

of course Taiwanese people created our own culture because we were very rich before 2000s. before China get rich these two decades.

for example, boba tea, personal hot pot, night market snacks, beef noodles festival, tea cuisine, Taiwanese snacks, are all created by Taiwanese and influences back to China, Asia, and western countries.

tea cuisine looks like Chinese vegetables with tea smell, it's in Mao Kong gondola mountain area, only rich old people can eat it

How about a video describing the difference between regular Chinese food and Taiwanese meals.

Taiwan rich consumption market ranks the 3rd highest in the world, so Taiwanese food tastes better and looks nicer than Chinese food. I hope you know what I mean.

our government is also different. Taiwanese scientists created sweet and smell nice non-GMO vegetables and meat, we have sold our chicken breed to the whole world. For example, we have super mango breed which is famous in Asia and one Korean said he would move to Taiwan just for the mango.
