I tried to play this. That syncopated bassline is literally harder than some beethoven pieces for me. Its so impossible to keep that bassline while also playing in the right hand. How do you build up to be comfortable with that in the left hand?
I'd try starting with a simple progression. The first 10 seconds of my "Guantanamera" tutorial has one that you can play around with. Experiment with the right hand, speed it up, and change the rhythm as you please. Don't be discouraged! The Latin rhythm is one of the toughest to master, but not impossible.
@@SterlingVelazquez Hi, quick update. Definitely is possible. I even picked up the book "Exploring Latin Piano" which helped me understand and feel the rhythms. I can play parts of this with ease, some still need more practice. Getting a feel of the rhythm just takes some time and practice. Thanks for giving me some motivation.
The salsa beat is at 185 bpm, but if I'm using a normal metronome, I'll play double-time at 92 bpm because the tapping gets quite annoying. Either works!
What a masterpiece! Love it! Been looking for this for months! Is there a chance to see your hands (i mean from above)? Its really hard for me to put the right finger to the right key :( I would be more than happy to support your work any way you find convenient for this request. Thank you very much sir, you rock! Ondra
