Having an H30 built up right now, but swapping parts from an old bike, a Factory 38 160mm, Factory DPX2, Code Rs (220F/200R rotors), Reserve 30 wheels w/ 350 hubs, and Reverb 200mm dropper, should be quite the beast. Stoked.

Having spent two full big days on the carbon version, I can say this light weight ebike is the way to go hands down. The ep8 motor puts out just enough power at 65 watts where I think it’s powerfully enough in the profile 2 setting and the overall weight feels way better then a full fat ebike. This is a great big back county sled. Now they just need to make an enduro version. I love the kenevo SL but I think Specialized needs to up the power on that bike. Having owned the 2020 Spec Enduro, that frame is amazing. Now if they can just up the watts to 65 or more that would be the winning ticket for me.

I have a 2018 Levo with the 504 battery and 97% of the time I never need more battery, riding mostly in trail, and a bit in turbo.
Riding Innerleithen and the French Alps usually 18-26 miles and 2k' of elevation, I do ride minimum of 4 times a week, preferring more rides over 1 epic slog a week.

I don't get it, the weight thing. We have batteries and a motor. I weigh just over 100kg and I would take 2 litres of water on my back on a ride, another 2kg. Then I've got tools, a bit of food and a few spares, like an inner tube, a bit of extra clothing. I'd have the same extra kit on a bike with no power assistance, its just what you need to ride. The biggest difference I could make would be to loose 10kg in body weight. I've already done that in the last 3 years and feel much better for it. If I'd ridden my none powered bike as long and as far as I've done with my e-bike, I might have lost that weight. Realistically that wouldn't have happened as I wouldn't have the inclination or the willpower to do it. My guess is that these lightweight e-bikes are just to convert none powered mountain bikers to get into the e-bike scene with some credibility. If you have a rider that is super fit and competitive the weight difference may be slightly significant. My Orbea has a 625Wh battery and a Gen 4 CX motor, it just makes all my rides worry free.

I don't understand how this can be 2kg lighter than a carbon frame YT Decoy? (19.8kg vs 22.9kg) Same weight motor, similar capacity battery. The forks would be a bit lighter on the M10 Hydro, as well as the 180mm rotors, but I'm not seeing what else is making it lighter. Then add in the extra weight of the aluminium frame, I'm really confused.

I think the rs version moror is lighter than standard version. Maybe less cooling fins or smt. Still that doesnt do that much. Maybe yt has stronger frame being gravity oriented bike.
Wheels and tyres can add up.

The EP8 RS is the exact same motor just with different firmware, so no weight difference there. Similar tyres and wheels as well. Maybe it's the frame like you said, it might be very thick carbon fibre while the Orbea might be very thin aluminium. Unless Orbea's battery weighs a lot less than YT's somehow 🤔

@@brettmansfield Yeah. U are brobably right. Rs is just limited to extend battery live and also protect it. There is a reason why the engine is even more restricted when using that smaller extension battery. Theorerically they might have done small weight savings on the engine becouse lower power output and thermal load had allowed it. But then again differenses arent that big so might not be reasonable for cost increase to do so.

Rise saves weight on a less stiff frame and non removable battery. Maby the frame can't even handle 85nm

Difficult. M10 has the Float X - and the smaller battery if you need you can use the range extender. And the M10 has the individualise option.
H10 with better tires and pedals you will have easy 20,5kg - and it’s just a trail bike

M10. I can still brake at the same point that I do on my 27 pound trail bike with my 41 pound M10. If you add a few more pounds these dynamics change. M10 of course has the 4 pot vs the 2 pot on my Ripley.

Both look brilliant! I took delivery of an M10 about 8 weeks ago and am loving it. Once you spec them out similarly, their isn't much of a cost difference. My area isn't that mountainous and I've done some fairly epic rides without running afoul of battery restrictions. I like the modular battery setup on the M10. The smaller battery is sufficient for 99% of my riding and I only need to add the extender (and lug the additional weight) for the small percentage of rides that it is needed. People doing lots of climbing or spending more time in Boost mode may enjoy the bigger battery, though, and I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Cheers, All!

Sure but 2 piston brakes, lower components on suspension that already makes half a kilo

H10 has a Fox 36? All the specs I've seen shows a Fox 34. I have an H15 on order specifically for the Fox 36. Still looking for an M10 though.

You can upgrade to Fox 36, Float X, 8120 brakes just like the M10 comes stock. These 3 upgrades only raises the price $335 I think. You can also upgrade the tire spec for a bit more, but your LBS would have to order it like this, or a long wait straight from Orbea.
