One of my favorite things about BIIM is their humility. They always acknowledge other people in contributing to their success. Notice they always said "we were taught that" or "we had to be coached" or "we had great people behind us".... The young "relevant" artists of today are all about themselves only. No one in the music biz is classier than these men.
I would love to just listen to Wanya sing the alphabet. You could not pay for his talent. Don't get me wrong they are all talented, but he makes you feel what he feels while singing.
They were undeniable in the 90's. ALL of them could blow on the spot. Nobody can bend, twist and flip a note like Wanya though. Uhh Ahh, Please Don't Go, Water Runs Dry and Thank You are my favorites from them. The problem is that nobody's figured out a solution to the problem in the music industry. My solution is that there needs to be a market for SINGERS who can actually sing. They won't even let one person have the spotlight. This year, Kelly Price and Kem just released solid r&b albums and they were just completely overlooked. I like what they said at 8:38 to 9:00. Never knew that. Now, as far as the NEW music, I don't like it at all, but I do wish ya'll the best.
Will always be a fan of BoyZ II Men! Also, I'm really glad they explained what happened to Michael, because for the longest time I was wondering what happened to him and why he wasn't around.
Sway you brought back my highschool days with the Kmel I'm from the bay also. I'm a little older than Boy2Men but I remember when they came out. I loved them back then and I still do. Their Christmas song let it snow I play from Thanksgiving Day until the day after new years. They are real r&b real music and we have no choice but to respect that. And I want them to stop apologizing for stating truth. Most of what's on the radio is garbage. And most of the singers out now can't hold a note. They need music lessons speech classes, and a boat load of other refining classes. Berry Gordy needs to teach a mandatory artists grooming course and if your artist doesn't pass they dont get released to the public. These artist today can't do a simple interview. Some can barely speak english and they were born and raised in the US. They don't have common sense, compassion or even the slightest grasp on current events. I.e. Young thug and the Michael Brown situation. I told myself it's over real hip hop is dead. I understand how B2M feel. I'm 42 and feel as though music today is like a bland plate of food just no flavor what so ever smh. Everybody wants to be popish, cookie cutter autotune. I want to hear someone SANG. Sing so good I get goosebumps on my arms, tears in my eyes and say damn he/she/they sang the hell out of that.
Wanya Morris, you are the truth, my brother. I need to hear Wanya and K-Ci Hailey on a track together, that's all I'll say. Also, Nathan has that "huggable thug" feel about him. He's soft on the inside, but will knock you out if you get out of line, LOL. I like that he's all about his business. He was ready to go into that Spanish a'cappella, boy! :D Oh, and Shawn's a dork :P
I wonder why did they not talk about their biggest hit to date, "One Sweet Day" - the song is the most successful duet of all time with Mariah Carey. (It holds the record for the longest running number 1 song of all time! 16 weeks!).
"WHETHER YOU GUYS ARE WORKING ON YOUR JOBS OR STILL PERSUING YOUR CAREERS, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE SUPPORT OF YOUR DEDICATED AND LOYAL FANS!!!" "YOU ALL HAVE BEEN IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY 🎶 🎵 FOR RIGHT AT 30 YEARS, AND EVEN WITH ALL THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE AQUIRED, YOU ALL REMAIN STILL, SO VERY HUMBLE. " "I'M JUST IN AWE OF YOU GUYS!!!" "FOR ME, "BOYZ II MEN, HAS BEEN, AND ALWAYS WILL BE... "THE 👍 GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!" "I ❤️ LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Clearly. It's amazing to me to see people who haven't supported them in years offering critiques... And ideas for how they can move forward. They've done all that. That tour was huge. Sold out every venue. Lol. They been touring. And they continue to tour. They having a going on 3 year residency at the Mirage. They've had several albums since 2006. It's not a come back. They been here. People just stopped supporting their brand.
donna b Exactly. If people gave a fuck in the first place because they APPARENTLY "love them so much", they wouldn't be surprised that they're still around putting out music. But that's fake fans for you...
If Boyz II Men know all the fans and have money left to win by doing a tour in Latin America ... I think they are the only group that has produced two albumnes completely in another language "spanish" that is not their natural language. Check this out. Start with Republica Dominicana or Puerto Rico "cause we are islands" then Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico and then back to USA. next year the other countries left: Paraguay, Honduras, Salvador, Brasil, Chile etc. etc. I know, I know...let me dream!!
Marcelo12 Actually the Vibin Flava Remix features Treach of Naughty by Nature, Busta Rhymes, Craig Mack (that's why Nathan imitated him) and Method Man.
So rnb is dead? Kem, chrisete Michele, Adele, Jill Scott, etc. Please at least give props to the one that are putting in work, instead of just bashing music as a whole
tjthegreat7 they don't say rnb they say MUSIC in the interview, implying that music as a whole is down. When I mean "dead" I mean watered down and that is basically how they view the music scene as a whole. I made a mistake about adele but she and the other artists have quality music. The problem is that they don't pay attention or don't give credit to good artistry today, they just point out the negativity.
I love BIIM but dayum do I get tired of hearing their trials and tribulations about the industry. They seriously have a chip on their shoulder. Do they not get their downward spiral is because they chose to put out horrible music post the II album?
Maybe it's because they keep getting asked those questions. What are they supposed to say? "no comment"? And what they're saying is 100% the truth that needs to be brought to light, so that the young'ns being brainwashed by the Beibers, Kate Perrys, etc will know about and hear quality music that was being made in the past. Also, horrible music post II? Really? smh.
HSN Vercetti No need to shake your head. It's true. Evolution, Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya, Full Circle were all mediocre albums with maybe a few songs that were likable. I'm not here to bash the boys but I think they could have done a whole lot better than what they did.
You clearly haven't heard their "TWENTY" album then. They evolved musically, but still stayed true to their trademark sound we all love them for. Fantastic, slept-on Boyz II Men album! Check that out...
I think "Nathan, Shawn, Micheal, Wayne" and "Full Circle" showed a lot of growth, but got almost no radio play. I hate the crap that's being played on the radio now, but those two albums have songs that I can listen to over and over. I don't think they have a chip on their shoulders, they are just talking about what happened in their careers. Just my opinion.
One of my favorite things about BIIM is their humility. They always acknowledge other people in contributing to their success. Notice they always said "we were taught that" or "we had to be coached" or "we had great people behind us".... The young "relevant" artists of today are all about themselves only. That Spanish Snippet was crazy them Boyz are Talented . Thanks for the Past Present and Future !
I would love to just listen to Wanya sing the alphabet. You could not pay for his talent. Don't get me wrong they are all talented, but he makes you feel what he feels while singing.
Classy, humble, Talented. The best that ever did it.
Perverted .Alchemist I'm used to them tearin' up the spot, R&B FLAVOR! R&B is dead so they went the alternative route. I get it.
what they trying to say is people actually prefer to buy shit music over quality music. music is a gimmick today not about skill.
Yo when they did the Spanish version of "Water Runs Dry" I fell outta my damn bed. GODDAMN THEY TALENTED!!!!
👌
Nate, what a gentleman.
Legendary. Enough said.
These guys are legends. A lot of people today don't know it. Pure talent 😘😘
Maaaaan this interwiew woke me up about the music game. awesome interwiew best Group ever man
My jaw dropped when they sang in Spanish. That was beautiful!
Will always be a fan of BoyZ II Men! Also, I'm really glad they explained what happened to Michael, because for the longest time I was wondering what happened to him and why he wasn't around.
MICHAEL LEFT THE GROUP TO HEALTH PROBLEMS
PURE talent doesn't win in the entertainment business! Foolery clownish, and anything negative will get the most attention and praise!

Am I the only one that was waiting for this
I wonder why did they not talk about their biggest hit to date, "One Sweet Day" - the song is the most successful duet of all time with Mariah Carey. (It holds the record for the longest running number 1 song of all time! 16 weeks!).
It might because its more her song than theirs (if that makes any sense)
+gigiraven1 yeah but it was on her album right? I know it was on their legacy album
"We, your FANS, are some dedicated people!" 👌 We LOVE ❤️ YOU GUYS. "KEEP on,KEEPING ON!" We are FANS for LIFE!!! WE THANK GOD FOR YOU ALL...

"WHETHER YOU GUYS ARE WORKING ON YOUR JOBS OR STILL PERSUING YOUR CAREERS, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE SUPPORT OF YOUR DEDICATED AND LOYAL FANS!!!" Glad theyre back. They should put together a tour with other groups. People would buy tickets.
"Back"? They've never been gone...
Did you miss he fact they did an entire tour last summer with other groups. It was a big thing
Yep! Obviously I did

So rnb is dead? Kem, chrisete Michele, Adele, Jill Scott, etc. Please at least give props to the one that are putting in work, instead of just bashing music as a whole
Adele is R&B? Dude, please...
tjthegreat7 my point is that there are good artists in music. Calm down
djsoulchild u missing my point
tjthegreat7 they don't say rnb they say MUSIC in the interview, implying that music as a whole is down. tjthegreat7 is that clear?
Yes, true Americans lol thinking we are cleverer than others.

***** Not really. It's a solid album but the album was called evolution and they nor their sound evolved.
