it's so funny to see eurovision fans finding out about ralli-english. it's a thing. and it has a very simple explanation, finnish is always pronounced exactly how you spell it, meanwhile english is not. therefore, finns speaking english have trouble pronouncing english words "properly" cuz it goes against our natural instincs of how words should be pronounced. and yes, käärijä is very cute and i am very proud of him for trying his best at english even tho he knows he's not the best at it.
I speak excellent English but somehow I'm proud when we send people who don't speak English much at all like Patrik Laine and Käärijä to represent us abroad. It feels good, like how Japanese and French people don't need to speak English. It feels like a privilege to only need to speak your own language while being a world champion in something. Finnish rally drivers are famously bad at English and it's an example of this too, although they actually often speak very good English, just the pronounciation is very Finnish. I also know many university researchers whose pronounciation is horrible... I almost feel proud of it. They're still excellent in their field and speak professional academic English, just with very Finnish accent. I almost feel like a simp for speaking English so good.
I am not sure if this is the case. I mean if the reason behind the difficulty is that finnish is pronounced exactly how you spell it. He’s precious🥹 he makes me proud to be Finnish lol💚
Inglis language!!! :D :D :D Sounded exactly like you read the words with the Hungarian pronunciation. Made my day, kiitos.
Lintu flying there in sky, Greenyellow man is famous work man in Sverige. This is so good, funny!
I’m so happy Käärijä and Finland is getting more recognition😭❤️
This video made my week, if anything makes me learn Finish it will be listening to Käärijä speak and sing
Käärijä: I love you, You love me...maybe? Me : Yes Yes
Having the constant urge to turn my fluent english into this and now i see him actually doing it and i cant help but scream THE KING THE IDOL
Start learning Finnish (or a different language if you are Finnish, couldn't tell from your username lol). I guarantee you can experience what it's like trying to speak a language you are not familiar with at all plus you get to keep your fluent English
I use English as my teaching language, and I noticed that my English got more clumsy after I watched tons of Käärijä videos. xD
As someone who is about to graduate as an ELT professional, I'm absolutely enthralled by him trying speaking a barely known language for a big audience. The audacity 🤌✨
He makes me smile so big because he's so cute and funny!
Tbh you can see how much he improves throughout this video! It's really impressive actually!
Noe I finally get why finnish culture feels so similar to ours (switzerland). The accent is almost the same lol.
Yeess eim fromm finland, Äi kän spiik inglisch
bhahaha that is on point (finn here)
I have no idea who this is but as an English teacher I love how you can tell how much he progresses throughout the video
Also he's cute
Update: I've looked him up more and I'm obsessed now
yay :D
"was it t shirt in english" ive been there lmao
1. I love that Finnish green cinnamon bun and his adorable English
2. I miss Stockholm so much
A true icon
Ahh i have english tommorrow...watch me fail miserably because im infected with 'its crazy its party' and the cute little 'yes yes' käärijä i would like my heart back please...its not nice to steal
Friends: You learn English language all your life, tell us something.
Me:
I love how he pronounces ”language” in a very Finnish accent XD
‘You love me.. Maybe. Oh this is crazy this is Party!’
That single quote had made me love him even more
The way he says "yes, yes" reminds me of Tom Nook and it makes me so happy for some reason 😭💞💚
