There is nothing more adorable than someone experiencing new metal bands and genres for the first time. You are correct about him being Russian and speaking both English and Russian in the video. Bud, don’t worry about not loving the band immediately because it is extremely heavy and what didn’t work for you doesn’t work for everyone. Additionally, Slaughter is Deathcore and Slipknot is Nu-Metal so the styles are noticeably different.The metal community doesn’t judge, we just enjoy having more members in the family.

You're right, it took me over a year before i was able to listen to slaughter to prevail but now i love them. Music this heavy is absolutely an acquired taste that takes time for most people.

Haha! Alex Terrible, one of my favorite vocalists. Slaughter to Prevail is one of my favorite bands. Don't know if you already know this, but if you visit slam worldwide on UA-cam, it can be a very good place to discover any new band of your liking because whats unique is mostly every band on this UA-cam channel has a different sound. This channel is where I discover all of my favorite bands.

Russian band, but with an American label, so some tracks are in both Russian and English, or all mixed, it's just information for those who haven't Googled yet....Sasha Shekolai's vocals can be heard in another slipknot cover where his vocals are similar to the young Corey Taylor from Slipknot...well, few people know that the vocalist was inspired earlier by Cory's vocals and not only vocals, the whole group was inspired by slipknot.

You know which channel I think is super underrated?? Metal Piano Music. The guy spends weeks composing classic metal songs into classical/relaxing piano pieces and he hardly gets any views. I love his arrangement of The Sentinel by Judas Priest. That guy really deserves millions of followers

Definitely do the the Bad Guy cover. My favorite is Lonely Day by SOAD, very funny and self-depreciating, with some surprisingly angelic cleans at the end too. If you have access to a heavy bag, try working the bag while listening to Demolisher.

You should check out some Periphery, good blend of tasteful growls and excellent clean vocals, and second to none musicianship. Bit more accessible than stuff like this (although STP are still class). Try “The Bad Thing”.

Should you ever do any of Alex’s covers songs I would suggest Bad Guy(Billie Eilish), Chandalier(Sia), and Ride(21 Pilots). They are of course ridiculous, but it’s part of the fun and charm of Alex’s goofy side doing these pop covers. Plus it might help you to decipher his growls when you know the lyrics.

Alex Terrible is a crazy-ass Russian who wrestles bears. He’s typically the only guy who takes off and puts on his mask throughout the show in the band. The band itself is basically if Slipknot just released their Iowa album over and over again with a better vocalist and drummer.
