These guys crush it live. The 'hype man' who introduced them is Jose Mangin from Sirius/XM radio. He is heavily involved with the Octane and Liquid Metal stations along with other things in the metal scene.
This is a tattoo and music festival, so that paired with being in a former prison is where the name comes from.

10:26 It looks either like a compression glove or a grip glove. If a compression glove: It squeezes the carpal bones of the hand gently to give them support, maybe he hurt his hand or wrist slightly, but not enough to prevent him rocking the fuck out. If it's a grip glove: It's what it says on the label, providing a better grip on the fingers while the palm is smooth to allow for sliding up and down the neck. A grip glove also usually is moisture wicking so the hand doesn't get slippery from excessive rocking out sweats.
EDIT: I just did a quick Google, and it seems that it's a combination of the two... it's a compression glove with grippy fingers because the strings of the bass are much thicker than the strings on a "normal" guitar, with a lot more vibration and needing to be hammered on harder. The compression part is kind of like a soft exoskeleton to give them support so they don't cramp up, and the grip helps hold the note, as well as the moisture wicking bit keeping his hand dry :)
The gloves are typically worn because when you're playing bass, the strings are a LOT thicker than a regular guitar. When you're moving your fingers that much while playing they tend to cramp up and sometimes just stop working for a little bit. With a 5 string bass, i'd imagine it to be way worse. I cant say for certain, but with my bass experience, thats what i would go with

I was at that festival and it was by far one of the best days I’ve ever had. It’s worth the trip to the USA for all the bands that come out to it!

It was a tragedy that it was only about 30 minute set. The event was great but trying to fit so many bands in a 3 day event was the only downside. They deserved at least 1 hour.

The coolest thing is I was at this show, the Inkcarceration Festival takes place in my town in Ohio, and we cater for backstage so we get comp tix for what day we wanted so I picked this day lol. Amazing set
