4.2 gpa is high even for first year bruh.. I got 2.5 Cgpa for my first year and that was already a struggle. It really also depends on what modules they are taking when they started uni, the level and marks required differ.

@@genitalman4016 it’s arguably one of the prestigious and toughest course in NUS, in fact their computer science course is one of the best in the world alongside with other colleges such as MIT.
Even getting above 4 is ridiculously difficult in that course.

Depending on your major, get all the high scores you want, but if market is bad, can’t get a job. Got a gpa above 4.5 myself but was in a shitty major and ended up changing fields to get a job. Good job to the effort by the peeps though. Great effort and intelligence = good score. Bet some of them there underreporting their hours of study not to appear as nerdy 😂. Seen that movie many times before

My GPA is so low, I don't understand what a GPA is. Can only do percentages.
So much more stressful to have a precise GPA. Compared to the UK degree classification that just uses honors without number grades, in SG unis you can almost always do better...

Cs are very hard to get... unless you really are in the nether territories and don't put in the required hours... B is pretty much standard. Hard to see why and how people would fail... if they just put in the required hours... of course, it doesn't mean it's you, it's really dependent on your cohort... if everyone scores well, then whatever you score, it's up the God of the Bell Curve! But B is like standard... - but like all things in life, you need to put in the required hours.

@@koolkataustin2961 Funny... cos I am from a computing background... but point taken, it's really up to how you look at it. I just find it difficult to accept that someone putting in the necessary hours into the coursework, completing all the tutorials, reading through EVERY recommended material, submitting every assignment on time, really understanding it in theory - will get a C.
Sorry, I just do not find that normal and understandable. Universities are not built to give people Cs... if you just go through what you're given, taught, you will at least get a B - it's more or less has been so for me at least.
good grades is a large bulk of hard work, not a large bulk of intellect. good grades does not mean that one is a genius.
@andyng5321 just one factor that makes an employee i guess. It's easy to accomplish. So not the deciding factor, in my view.
