Horrible letting brady go, bb could of got dj melcalf, deebo samuel also and didnt..not. a good gm..also cost them the eagles sb with benching butler
@@secretagent5762 What e mean.
Im not participating in degenerate gambling behavior. Not kosher incredibly Haram amigo
As a life long Patriots fan, watching the decision making since Brady left has been absolutely horrendous.
Can can’t say it any better
Y'all were good for so long cause y'all had the best QB of all time now reality is setting in
Crazy how a once in a lifetime QB carries your team... at least you got the rings to show for it... I'm a sad Dolphin fan and had that with Marino.... no rings tho
As a fellow pats fan I fully agree.
Sorry but you guys had yours. You deserve all of this right now.
I'm a die hard patriots fan even back in the bledsoe days. And I have been saying the same exact thing you have for the last 8yrs even before Brady left and with winning the last two Superbowls. Ever sign and decision showed us that Bill has truly lost his touch as the mega HC/GM. He needs to either step back into just the head coaching role and get some real expects to do the job or just completely step away from the organization. I think the second half of Brady's career could have been even more spectacular then their were if someone else was in control of the roster. So many super star misses in the draft, so many just dumb decisions during free agency, and many more occurrences.
I also agree like bill be so ready to get rid of players before they start getting bad he should of looked in the mirror ( now it’s even worse since he got rid of Brady because he was supposed to be getting bad )/ won superbowl first year with bucs then was second in mvp votes the next year)but bill will stick to being bill so patriots will keep spiraling down
100% Agree. his old line of doing what's best for the team seems hypocritical at this point.
As a bills fan that hates the patriots and belichick I agree. Also bad decisions like having Matt Patricia call offensive plays. Mac jones has potential to be a stud but he’s getting ruined by horrible play calling and bill’s ego.
Strongly disagree with Bill losing his touch ... just a lot of shit going on....there, fixed it for you.
Belichick is starting to look like his old Browns coaching days of the 90s
As a Patriots fan, Bill is really making me mad right now.
As a patriots fan I support Mac Jones because he could be our franchise QB if we actually had a real offensive coordinator. We have Bill Obrien now so I think it will be better next season unless Bill Belichick trades Mac Jones.
I’m with you on this… first off is his value right now even worth it?? Not too mention it really is a disservice to Mac after last year… I say we owe him one more season to prove it IMO 🤷🏽♂️ #GoPats
Nobody is shopping Mac. That story was bogus. Mark Daniels already called out Mike Florio for doing what he usually does. Make stuff up.
That other kid behind him is better. Can’t remember his name but I think it’s of Polish origins.
@@thefitgurutv zappe is ass, bro shit the bed against the bears
@@thefitgurutv you mean Bailey Zappe
I think you made a great point about QB busts. I have often said the greatest QB may never had a chance to really play in the NFL with the right coaching. As a pats fan, I loved Drew Bledsoe… but TB was young & hungry and Belichick wasn’t a fan of Drew and his contract. When Mo Lewis took out Bledsoe, a perfect storm occurred & a legend was born. Both because Tom was hungry & Bill wanted a nobody to be the franchise QB. Early on it was just, Tom, be a manager and don’t screw it up.. later he carried the team. The greatest of all time was born out of that perfect storm… & thank god… because I am a life long Pats fan.
You're right, even on the upper end of the spectrum, Drew Brees went from good to Elite under the right coaching.
Bledsoe had to almost die on the field before Belichek figured out Brady was good.
I was so pissed we let Bledsoe go... I remember the 1 and 15 days. I had Drew's back. Tom won me over eventually
Us in New England have been left scratching our heads and are as frustrated as Mac the past few seasons 😂 our O line let him take so many shots last year
Shades of the Jim Plunkit dwys.
I love that Mac Jones had the balls to reach out to his old team. He had the balls to question Bill Belichick. Dude’s already a legend.
Bill is a savage and he messed up when he forced Tom out. Now look at Bill, scrambling to make sense of this disappointments
Anyone in their right mind wouldn't force out anyone that has won them 6 superbowls especially to push one out and that person winning a superbowl with a different team the next season lmao
YES MIKE. Do videos on the QB prospects. I really would love to see your opinion on them all.
As a long ravens fan seeing lamar in a patriot uniform is horrifying
Doesn’t matter who you have at quarterback if the line is constantly collapsing because you don’t have a good offensive line to protect the quarterback to give him time to throw the ball or let the play develop nothing you do will make a difference. That was Toms biggest problem with Bill when Tom decided to move on. Bill didn’t build the line till tom left even then he didn’t invest that much money into the offensive line. He puts most of the money into the defense. So if he doesn’t go deep into the playoffs this year I think that Kraft will definitely move away from Bill B . That’s just my opinion.?
@@josephmedeiros4561 I disagree, they just made the playoffs the season before, plus those 6 superbowl wins will give him a long leash as long as Mac Jones can get back to his rookie form under Bill O'Brien.
Nfl fans seeing the patriots get better is horrifying.
Newton failed because the Patriots failed to build an offense around him. N'Keal Harry was 4th on the team in targets
Mac's frustration was understandable. He got forced into looking for help with the worst offensive playcaller in the league, there was no real solution to his season under Matt Patricia. Belichick trying to trade him away shows he's becoming more dictator than HC/GM combo. The same situation that is putting Mac into the trade block *caused Brian Hoyer to leave* which is a major problem.
If we move on from Mac Jones, I feel like it's way too soon, and without a proper solution available (outside of Lamar Jackson), it would cause another bad year. Allegedly, Belichick's already on the hot seat with Kraft, and Kraft likes Jerod Mayo to replace Belichick. A bad year might be what the Patriots need to properly move on from the Tom Brady era.
Don't forget Cam's COVID-19 setback. Never seemed the same after a decent start. Of course with MacD as OC.
I remember when the Patriots had Jim Plunket. So the ups and downs teams go through is the norm not the exception. Teams that draft a quarterback and expect to plug them in because the offense was working before they got there are usually making a big mistake. Tailor the offense around Mac Jones and he'll be fine.
I'd love to see you make breakdowns on all 4 top QB's in this draft upcoming
I like this idea alot. Would love to have him break down these QBs. If you like that type of content you should check out Brett Kollman's channel. He is really good at it and produces great content.
Dude is ABSOLUTELY right about developing QBs. The development hinges SOO much on the team around you. I could see Jalen Hurts being a bust...if he wasn't out in a situation with an elite OL, weapons on the outside, and a great OC/QB coach.
And the defense takes so much pressure off a QB.
Look at SF. Brock Purdy is not better than Mac Jones...but he just worked within a GREAT system with playmaker, didn't try to do too much and had a great offensive coach.
Aaron Rodgers and now...maybe Love. We'll see, but Love was AWFUL early on and has progressed SO much it's hard to believe it's the same player out there.
Bringing back the QB coach who developed Rodgers-Out of retirement and sitting him was smart.
Almost all of these guys have the physical attributes to be great, it's everything else.
As a Patriots fan, I looked into this talk of then shopping Mac Jones, and every article I saw said this was per an anonymous source. That alone has me questioning if the media is making it all up to rile up the fan base. The Patriots also haven't made a move to bring in a QB, which again makes me question that story. Further research just now showed that Patriots beat writer Mark Daniels debunked the story, and Florio is full of crap about the Pats shopping Mac Jones! If the Patriots had wanted Justin Fields in 2021, they had the chance to trade up for him. Many draft "experts" expected Bill Belichick to do just that, but he didn't. Regarding Mac Jones's development, remember that Matt Patricia, a defensive coach, called offensive plays, and Joe Judge was quarterback coach. Remember that Judge had Daniel Jones with the Giants, and Danny Dimes was a disaster to say the least under Judge. (He showed tremendous improvement under Brian Daboll.) Nobody in their right mind would have Joe Judge coach quarterbacks. The whole reason that situation happened in New England is Belichick wanted Bill O'Brien as his offensive coordinator but didn't want to screw over his buddy Nick Saban to get him as O'Brien still had a year left on his contract with Alabama at that point. Agreed there is no quarterback who could have succeeded in the situation Mac Jones was in last year. Not even the GOAT himself, Tom Brady, could have succeeded with the mess they had in New England. Not only did Patricia and Judge suck at coaching offense, the Pats offensive line sucked as well, especially the tackles. For that reason, I don't blame Mac for looking outside the organization for coaching help. Now that they've fixed the coaching problem (Bill O'Brien as OC and Adrian Klemm coaching the offensive line), the offense will get better. Regarding Mac, I support him as Patriots quarterback, and he could be our franchise QB.
That part about a QBs success is based on where he is drafted is a sad truth which is why I feel bad for young qbs who are drafted by a team and that team immediately hope to turn things around after having a failed season so much so that they get the first pick.
Being picked first I like career suicide for a QB.
I agree with you Mike, if I was Mac Jones I would’ve done the same thing I knew it when Patricia and Judge were coordinating Ik just knew that they would screw it up! Bill has pissed off all the patriots fans especially with hearing that Mac Jones has been shopped around and hopefully bill will get his head out of his butt and think straight for once
Mac is really good and Belichick is crazy for shopping him. The offensive line consistently gave him 3 seconds before a sack. How can anyone do well in that situation with no receivers to boot. It’s pathetic.
I'd be super interested in seeing a video on Georgie's quarterback Bennett. He's a back to back national champion, but there is still so much controversy.
He’s like 26 and he’s not really that good. He’ll be a 6th/7th round pick.
He fucking sucks. The first championship was a fluke because Bama had their top scorers hurr and they choked in the last 8 minutes of the game. Without Brock bowers, Georgia doesn't win Championships.
Been here since 100k bro you keep getting better. Glad you’re feeling and looking healthy bro. Keep it up
Thanks bro bro
As a dolphins fan I never thought I’d see a time where the patriots could be the worst in our division
Keep up your fantastic videos, God bless you Mike
Imagine being Daniel Jones. Having Judge as the Head Coach and Jason Garret as the oc. His favorite play was everyone run to the sticks and turn around all at once.
Not that it matters, Daniel Jones still couldn't hit any of them.
At least the giants weren't stupid enough to keep garret around as long as Dallas did lmao 😂
The main reason Bill brought in Patricia and Judge was money, they are being paid by the teams they were fired from so he could pay peanuts. He figured two former head coaches could do the job of one OC since they both knew the “Patriot way” and were in the building for Super Bowls. The reason It didn’t work is because those two are so so so bad. They were so bad it makes Bill look bad. His new OC also still being paid by Houston I believe, will also make him look bad leading to the end of the coach/GM experiment.
As a diehard Patriots fan of 34 years the Mac Jones being shopped for trade pissed me off I always stand by BB Even with Brady but the kid wasn’t to blame for last season BB decisions were
“Will Lee-vis” is too funny lmao
There's been some idiotic things happening this off-season. Patriots shopping Mac Jones is the stupidest of them all.
Bill’s ego is tripping him up again, just like when he benched Butler and got torched by the Eagles in the super bowl.
Last year was a disaster with Bill hiring Patricia as OC.
Shopping Mac around before letting O’Brien work with him would be a mistake, as Mac did pretty well his first year with McDaniels.
Got it in the thumbnail but didn't mention it. Bill loves Lamar Jackson and that wouldn't surprise me.
After a decent rookie year, I think Mac Jones was set up for failure with no proper OC.
For real. I think everyone is forgetting he had Joe Judge and Matt Patricia as his coaches
As a Patriots fan who has been watching the team since the 1970’s this is not a DISASTER. I think many fans have been spoiled by the Patriots 6 Championships but NFL football is only entertainment, not life and death.
You should do a video on the Seahawks
Mike do a mock draft I feel like yours would be the closest to right
Bill just wants everyone to play ball and have fun!
I appreciate all the work you do to put these videos together but I would love to see time stamps/chapters. I like the amount of videos you put out but I find for someone like myself who watches every single video, it is hard to sit through information that has been in multiple videos over and over before getting to the new stuff. I would hope that most football fans are somewhat up to date and when clicking to find out about Mac Jones trade rumors; I don't believe we need a back story about Cam Newton who was cut 3 seasons ago and Brady who hasn't been on the Pats for 4 years. Just some constructive criticism to make it easier for loyal fans. Cheers
Yes please
Yes yes definitely for sure I've been thinking about this same thing myself but just never get around to making my own comment on the situation chapters or time stamps would be so beneficial
Why don't you just skip the parts you know of like everyone else?
@@Mrogers559ers He’d be able to if there were time stamps/chapters. Duh.
And I’ve found it a big help to automatically skip the 1st 3min. of his videos. Try it, it makes it alot more bearable.
I’m so fucking dumb 😂😂 I’m just now getting the Tom Brady video 😂😂😂
I’m a pats fan, I’m nervous. I love Mac and so does Kraft , bill just needs to wake up
What do you love about him? Serious question.
He’s not a good leader. Had a weak arm. The worst qb in the division and that’s not changing since Rodgers is coming over. Isn’t physically talented. He’s a dirty player and takes cheap shots.
I don’t get what you love dude.
@@steveosborn7224 my bro he took a rebuilding team to the playoffs in his first year with sub par weapons, he can easily process defences and everyone in the locker room loves him
Even Kraft wants to keep him around
His arm may not be the strongest but that develops with time.
Im not sold on mac if we shipped him off for something else i wouldn't be mad
Yeah, I saw some of Mac Jones' frustrations during the 2022 season. Who knows what was happening behind the scenes. I have a hunch Mac's situation has been tough with the Patriots coaching turnover. When I found out that Patricia was going to be the offensive coordinator I was surprised, but not surprised to see a decline in the offense's productivity. I would love to see Jones be successful, but team culture and the coaching situation have a huge impact on a player. Will they trade Jones? We will find out soon enough. Then would New England look to draft a new quarterback or will they trade for someone like Lamar Jackson? Belichick likes to save money so maybe they go the draft route.
Knowing their recent doings, they wouldnt bring in someone new, Zappe would be #1. Still want have much of a receiver corps, so he will have a sophmore struggle and take the blame for it.
I'm a patriots fan, and both Tom and Bill are great, the best ever at their positions imo, but the bottom line is, NO WAY Bill wins 6 super bowls without Tom Brady, and Tom doesn't win 6 with bad or average coaching, though I do believe Tom was the most important person as far as the pats success went. With that being said, Bill has not looked like the GOAT coach that he has been in the past. His decision to put Patricia and Judge as co-defensive cord. was one of the worst decisions I have seen in coaching tbh. He has also had some very questionable draft picks and free agency acquisitions. I don't know, bit things are not looking the best for Pats Nation
As a lifelong Patriots fan, I have been saying for the last 5 years that we need to start moving on from Bill Belichick. Now, I do agree that we should be trying to chop Mac Jones, and either try to get Lamar Jackson, or try to get into the top 5 picks of the draft to get a QB, but I'm also going to be clear that I don't blame Mac Jones for last season. I don't think that Mac Jones is our long-term quarterback of the future, but I also understand situation he was in last year, with Matt Patricia being an utter disaster as an offensive coordinator.
Overall, my opinion is just that Mac Jones is not going to be the guy who stalks us all and turns into the next Joe burrow, or the next legendary franchise quarterback. And knowing if that's the case, as a Patriots fan, we need to move on from him and try as much as we can to keep constantly upgrading at the position until we have someone who can make it a contender again.
As for Belichick as a GM, I've been saying for years that he's terrible at the draft. Everyone trying to tell me that Lamar Jackson isn't worth two first-round draft picks, needs to do me a favor and name two first-round picks made by Belichick in the last 10 years who turned out to be better than Lamar Jackson. Because I definitely wasn't Sony Michelle, and it definitely wasn't n'keal Harry.
Always been a pats fan & we should be worried nothing more volatile then a head coach shopping his QB 1 as of the moment
As a patriots fan, I personally do not like what Belickick is setting Mac up for and if he does get let go I will continue rooting for him and hope for the best. I sure do hope he doesn’t get traded thiugh
Lmao belichick can't find another tom brady after pushing Tom Brady to another sb with another team. 😂
TL was on the same path at the Jags, until they sacked Meyer. Look at TL and the team go now… Big problem with the NFL is the massive egos everybody seems to have…
😂 I thought the April fools video was funny. Have a great day Mike!
Maybe if you're like 12.
I feel like Matt Jones I going through the same hell that Tua went through in his 1st two years with Flores. Personally I think Matt Jones has the potential to be a quality starter if he's fortunate enough to get traded to the right organization with a coach that knows how to develop QB'S. Good luck Matt
I want all the info on Van Ness
All hell had broke out
since 2014 ish GM bill is looking like bill from the 90s decision wise drafts have always been a bit off at least first round picks i never growing up playing ball I never thought a coach/ gm system works I see the gm position as the checks and balance for coach and owner so it makes it easy to identify where an issue is coming from easier. I’d have the thought of bill going to maybe Alabama to help saban but that’s a wild thought
Bob needs to force bill out of at least 1 of his positions as HC/GM. The league is evolving drastically each season and the old man refuses to adapt, continually. You hire O'Brien, then shop mac around (when you have 1 active QB on your roster in Zappe)? Along w his downright refusal to spend/trade assets to acquire marquee WR's to set up his QB for success. If the "Patriot Way" is to remove talent before the eventual decline, his ass should've been gone last season, let alone now. His "experiment" w Patricia and Judge blew up in his face and stunted mac's development. He didn't sign jakobi (mac's guy), but instead signed JuJu to an almost IDENTICAL contract. I wouldn't care as much if his utter lack of accountability wasn't so obvious. idgaf what you've done for new england, bc you've shipped off plenty of players that have given equal amounts of success, w/o a second thought. Mac outright deserves better, or at least a consistent offensive coaching staff for fucks sake.
At least the title wasn't "Patriots declare WWAAARRRRR on Mac Jones".
I was so tempted...
Growing up in new England all I knew was disappointment. Red Sox constantly let the fans down and the pats were the 2nd ticket in town at best and then Brady and the pats broke through and something changed, Sox finally broke through, 6superbowls, 4 world series and a NFL and NBA championship. Growing up it was the curse of the bambino and 10 yrs from now it will be the Brady curse. Belichick is a .500 head coach in 10 seasons WITHOUT Brady with 2 playoff appearances and one came 2 seasons ago so? Brady MADE Belichick, Belichick rode Brady's coat tails to Canton. People seem to forget it is Mac Jones career on the line more than anything else. And he had to go from one of the best offensive coordinators to a mediocre defensive coordinator at best. Coaching offense for the first time and acts like he's a genius and how dare a 1st round QB who made it to the NFL question him and look for advice else where.
As a lifelong Boston resident bills drafting and team choice has been god awful the last ten years Kraft had to step in and hire o Brian cause bill wanted the two worst defensive coaches to cal plays on offense get him outta there
Saying Belichick isn't good at drafting QBs is crazy. Belichick drafted 7 QBs that started in the NFL last year.
You did get me with the April fools video 😅
It took me over an hour to figure it out.
Let’s be honest, Bill was on his way out the door before Tom showed up. Bill should have left after 10-7 in 2021. He could have named his price anywhere, now not so much.
hey mike do a mock draft
Hey Mike could you talk bout the Michael Bidwill thing I'm still confused bout that
As a lifelong Patriots fan, I agree with you 100%
I am a Patriots fan since the Bledsoe days and i've felt Belichick has lost it... I mean we had a good season in 2021 and they were suposed to build up from there... Instead he made the head scratching move of having Patricia and Judge back and making them run the offense? It doesn't made any sense and it set Jones back at least for a year. So yeah i think Belichick has to step down as GM or has to step away from the Patriots, he has been an awesome coach but as Brady's era once came to an end, Belichick will have to come to an end some day and this might be it
As a pats fan I will say ever since Brady left we haven’t made the best decisions but deciding to bring back bill o brien was a huge move by bill belichick and I think mac jones can become a franchise qb if gets time to develop with a guy like bill o brien.
Yeah I don't get why you would want to get rid of mac..let's see what he does with a real play caller
its kinda seeming like Bill wasn't as good of a coach as we believed. Maybe Brady was really the difference in New England all these years. He was able to play with no names and make magic happen.
It's fantastic to see the pats not know what to do after losing Brady all along the way pats fans saying that "it wasn't because of just Brady that we won 6 superbowls Belicheck played a big part in it also, and in Belicheck we trust"!! Funny how Belicheck is trying to bring back all the old coaches that were coach's with Brady and he is just failing miserably now without Brady!!
Raider fan since 1967 here.
Hate the Patriots.
And Todd McDummy.
Being the crappy New England Patriots west sucks.
This is BS.
(Pats Fan) being a pats fan has been diving me bat sh*t crazy for a year now I think think mac can do it and that's the minority take the amount of people I hear like almost screaming for zappe has driven me insane " oh mac is ass play zappe ya trade mac play zappe zappe is the next brady" actually ridiculous build the offense around mac and let him cook bill is senile (also i kinda miss the cam newton year that was fun to watch)
All my jokes aside, I kinda think you guys need a new coach. I think your qb's have potential, but not with Bill's system✌️
That sound like a Jets calling for Mike White 😂
@@gohawks3571 bill gonna prove you all wrong lol
The team is still being run like we have Brady, we don’t
As a Patriots fan born in the late 90s *sips cofffee* my mother warned me about how terrible the late 80s and early 90s were...but I didn't listen. And even though it isn't that bad yet, it's trending that direction. It's okay though, those 20 years growing up watching such success will be forever in my mind while watching them struggle these next 20 years haha
What happens when Rodgers go to the Niners Mike?
Mac Jones to the Giants would be crazy and I would love to see it
Huh? Over DJ nah...he could stay over there
David Jones is 10x better than Mac Jones
Its funny how with Cam "his best days are behind him" but with Mac oh its the team not giving him a supporting cast to win!
I think the bears screwed bill over because if you look back at the fact that Bill missed two times on Lamar I think he recognized the mistake and saw the trend and wanted to join in with Justin Fileds which is why I think he signed Cam for the mentorship along with the smart and accurate throws Fields made in college fits what bill wants to do and keep defenses guessing
That Bull...... about Matt Jones being able to process anything better that a former MVP and, made it to the Superbowl with next to nothing on offense is crazy!!!
“Multiple NFL execs deny Mac Jones trade rumors”
Only ding prodzzz and your intro is the only ones I watch
I think we are all finding out who was the real success in New England between Brady and Bellicheck...
Mac reaching out to Bama just shows me he cares as a player. I want that, many guys don’t care enough, Mac does. With a clean pocket, Mac is a top 6 QB - for real. His issue is when pocket breaks down, so if we keep him, fix the line, but if not, Zappe improvises better
Cool video and very informative, but what was the real reason behind the picture of Lamar Jackson wearing a New England jersey? 🤔
With a good oline. Any one can play qb
Why did you sound like Ray Romano for a sec?
With affirmative action laws in the nfl. Would it have been legal last year for bill to say.. “ bill O’Brien’s our guy. He’s under contract in Alabama until the end of the year then we will sign him. It’s not worth bringing in someone new for one year to teach a new system”... That would set them up for all kinds of lawsuits and fines
Not one person sees this comment and thinks hmmm?? That is absolutely crazy to me
Would it have Been legal last year for bill belichick to say. We’re holding the job for bill O’Brien. No it would not
One game Belicheck took a running back off of theor practice squad fot one game. The guy ran for 245 yards that game because it fit Belicheck's game plan against that defensr.
The next game that RB was back on the practice squad.
Brady got all the credit for the win and Belichick was critized for sendind the RB back to the practi e squad.
He is the most genius coach ever and I love Tom Landry.
I’m going to start gambling because of you!! I need some extra dough!!
Belichick is really going to look dumb if Mac Jones goes somewhere and looks good. What was he thinking making Patricia an offensive coordinator?
Matt Patricia didn't necessarily work out for the best in Detroit? That's like saying driving a tank through your front door isn't the best idea to get in your house quickly because you have to go pee really bad.
This is the first season we won't be paying any of the guys Patricia brought in who aren't playing. It was something like 70 million 2 years ago and 20 million last year and then not the best contracts like with Romeo okwara and halopaloti vitai. They both took huge pay cuts, from 11 down to 2 million for okwara and similar like 12 down to 4 million for vatai.
Patricia set the lions back years. If GM brad Holmes didn't hit near perfectly the past 2 years and if Dan Campbell and all the other coaches weren't improving at an incredible rate we'd be looking at 2026 to have a chance. Holmes and Campbell saved the day. Both are great men who really know how to inspire and recruit the right guys.
Patricia was a "rocket scientist" who was the smartest guy he knew. He also chased away DBs slay, Quinn and Diggs, Diggs on Seattle who made the week 18 interception on Baker and the Rams that kept the lions out of the playoffs. Maybe Patricia is a genius. The ability to hurt a team you haven't been apart of for over 2 years is very impressive
I havent given up on Mac yet but i do like Bailey Zappe . Zappe threw 62 tuddies to absolutely nobody breaking Burrow's college record and Joe had his boy Jmar Chase in college too. Pats got Billy O back ( only reason why he wasnt the OC last year was cause he had 1 yr left on his Alabama contract ) and i think just the play designs in general will be so much better. Instead of running Jet sweeps with Jonnu Smith lmao 🤣. But Zappe reminds me of a young Drew Brees , the quick decisive decisions on his reads are impressive and is athletic enough to bootleg or scramble if need be. Dude has an arm too . Also with a top 10 defense , i wouldnt say its a rebuild . Its more like a re-tool i said since Mac was drafted that 2023-2024 would be Mac's window because of the salary cap space we have and will have in 2024 as well as this year . So i agree things are tense in NE , but to say that they are a disaster is laughable . Last year on offense ( besides Rhamndre Stevenson ) was rough but to act like NE is Houston, Indy , Tennessee or any of the bottom of the league teams is comical .
Belichick has drafted defensive players well throughout his tenure as GM, but his offensive choices have been underwhelming especially in the last 10 years. There have been a couple good picks for offensive positions, but more than not he's been missing while other teams pick out studs at the same position later on. One prime example is the N'Keal Harry pick in the first round of the 2019 draft. The Patriots needed a receiver and Belichick's scouts were telling him to pick Deebo Samuel or AJ Brown. Belichick ignored them and chose Harry supposedly as a favor or in support of his personal friendship with Arizona State head coach Todd Graham. Harry ended up being a bust at a position the Patriots DESPERATELY need talent at while Deebo and AJ Brown became a couple of the best wideouts in the game.
Yet they find a way every year. To at least compete in most games…
I thought you said tom Brady would go back to the pat
Mike looks like he just woke up
As a Pats fan following news about the team, I think this is a non-story. Numerous reporters close to the team like Berdard and Breer have said they haven't heard any news of this.
The kid is young, he is going to get foolish at times. He seems to be a very competitive kid. So he was getting frustrated a lot . He would put the ball up and really didn’t have the receivers that would fight for the ball. Plus the pocket was always collapsing all the time so he would tick and run or just throw the ball before he seen the whole field. Plus the offensive calling was horrible and the offensive line stunk right out of the gate way to many penalties for the offensive line. Anyway in my opinion they should keep Mac Jones.
They are, all of this is bullshit . MAC QB1❤️💙
Never liked Jones, always thought he was overhyped coming into the league, especially with the Brady comparisons 🙄 he was never even the focal point of Bama's offense, he was just a GAME MANAGER! Next, Jones had a HELL OF A LOT MORE HELP THAN CAM! Jones stepped in his rookie season with newer weapons than Cam and Brady (Bill spent major $$$ in the off-season). Also, let's talk about how Jones blew it when NE defense kept them winning games, all the way to being the #1 seed only for a short while bcuz he could never push the offense as a leader. Please stop caping for this guy, he isn't the guy after this sample size from Jones. His ceiling isn't much higher if we kept him around, we would have to really put weapons around him to disguise his flaws (which there are a lot of). He would be a good #2, but he isn't what's needed right now.
Mike i love your takes. And as a dolphins fan, let the barn burn 🔥 😼
Burn, baby, burn! Palpatine inferno!
So, question do u think the dolphins would win more with tua or jackson?
Bill has the ego of a high school prom queen…. Unfortunately, he’s nothing without the prom king
Wow Where is this Coming From
At this point , I would be not surprised that Mac asks for trading !!! 😒
As a Bears fan I agree we draft Pat at the time Matt Nagy was here enough said 🤣🤣
Tannehill to NE, Jones to Tennessee where they keep Willis at backup? This would buy NE time to scout and potentially draft their future QB with Tannehill as the bridge.
As a Dolphan, I still root for Tannehill. What we did to him down here was criminal, crippling him both physically and developmentally.
That shit is dumb ass hell, bro said tannehill to the pats. Mac QB1💙❤️ we ain’t getting know damn bridge QB .
