- The Priory in Stoke by Nayland, Suffolk is a house with history. In 1200, a Norman knight gave the acreage the garden sits within to a medieval priory - in which ownership remained until the Reformation in the 1600s. The house which sits within the centre of the garden was built in 1829, and its garden has gradually been extended, now spanning nine acres.

I loved it all, did not see a mess and absolutely loved your greenhouse stuffed to the gills with chaotic beauty. Thanks for sharing ~ FlowerLady
What a beautiful garden! I love the idea of clipped hedges and edges and a certain chaos in the planting. You’ve achieved it wonderfully. Thank you for taking the time to film. I wish I could see it in person.

Amazing spot, I think you have done a fantastic job on this garden. Do you know the name of the Norman Knight. My Norman ancestor settled there. His son William De Chesney was Sheriff in Norfolk and Sulfolk from 1146 to 1156. Keep up the good work, it is beautiful place.
I lost three old dogs since 2021. Moved & starting a new garden and each dog's ashes will soon go into the hole when I plant the tree or scrub to remember each one by.
wow!
