Daaaaaang that Skoda Kodiaq RS is 🔥🔥 I just don't like the fake engine noises though. I can take the fake vents but the noise would annoy me constantly knowing it's fake 😅
@@CarSauce man I'd be embarrassed whenever someone asked about the crackles and pops cause any keen eared person will know something ain't right about them. They have a whole speaker underneath the car 🤦🏾♂️😂😂
@@conmancleall0 It's not down to their dialect, it's down to their language. It's spelt as "Skoda" and pronounced "Schkoda". Much as in English we have the word "physics". Is there a full leather seat option, Matt? Could do without fabric (and the red stitching on steering wheel) from a keeping it clean standpoint 🍭🍟. And can the fake engine sounds and crackle & pop be switched off? Were they trying to trick us, lol 🎬🍿
Good question! I've toned it down now, but I used to drive solely up and down the Nepean Highway in Melbourne, and that's why there are so many damn turns!
As an owner of a non-RS petrol Kodiaq, I'm not convinced they've done enough to differentiate the RS as a means to justify that additional price tag. I mean other than the faster engine and seats that give you a hug, pretty much everything else you loved about it is on the standard one too. There's still enough power to have some fun too!
Thanks Ash! It's certainly a little hard to justify the very big jump in price from this to the next model, although as you can see at the beginning of the video, it can be loads of fun 😜
It's no secret that fast cars are a luxury rather than necessary! Around my home there is 80km/h roads for quick acceleration thrills, and highways go up to 110. But you're right in saying we don't need performance vehicles! We just want them 😜
Are you sure the headlights have active shadowing? They only have adaptive function, as opposed to the superb Scout which specifies active shadowing. If this does, that's impressive! And a great function to have
@@CarSauce it's because it actually is "RS". The "V" is just the diacritic, or whatever it's called (you know, it's the little thingy on top of the "S" of "Skoda").
@@pastorofmuppets8834 for one thing it's very underpowered compared to our Mazda it's what is smaller inside and it just the quality of the materials inside and no where is the seed to be is good soft touch materials
@@lindonandlisa8114 very underpowered? The CX-9 has 170kw and 420nm and weighs 1815kg. The Kodiaq has 176kw and 500nm of torque in a 1858kg vehicle. The Skoda is way ahead there. I wonder if you compared it to the standard Kodiaq. As for the interior, I've never sat in either. The CX-9 is too big for our family - we might cross shop with a cx8 maybe.

A tip: you can watch movies on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies lately.
@Tatum Raul Definitely, I have been using Flixzone} for since november myself =)
Great video Matt! One question: Since there's a speaker down there by the exhaust, how does that fare when you go through water?!
I am very impressed by the attention to detail of Skoda and I believe that is what seperates this car from the pack!
Attention to detail is insane, what did you think of the door bins? 😭
@@CarSauce love them and if I owned this car I would make a point of letting everyone that comes in my car know that I have door bins 😂

Excellent review! I just can't stand how you say Skoda or for you Schkoda haha
Haha don't worry I will improve 🤣
I'm pretty sure that's how the Czechs say it...
@@pastorofmuppets8834 yeah you’re probably right. But that will be down to their dialect. It’s still spelt as Skoda.

hey mate the legal speed limit in Victoria is 60 km/h and around 90 on highway,so do we really need a performance vehicle? btw I prefer Skoda over vw

@@CarSauce very well said mate!
Is this not called the VRS as that’s what Skoda calls there performance cars car in the uk, Audi have the RS model lineup
In the UK, yes it's called the vRS. Butt in Australia, its model name is RS (seriously, Google it!) It's weird too because we get the vRS badge!!! 🤔
MattBrandCars that’s mental🙈 honesty why didn’t they design a new badge

Thanks Cee, I think I'm wrong here. From memory it is an international market feature but one we don't get for the RS in Australia 🙂
@@CarSauce that's a shame. Thanks for the reply
Love the way you saved it between 15:19 and 15:21. Well done! Really smooth!
Goood job Mate👍

It would nearly get my cash but a space saver spare?? C'mon, no chance when I'll be towing a horse float and live in a rural area doing long runs
RS for me
