Two of the biggest things to help with safety that I have experienced are both concerning the trucks.
    1. Get rid of the radar on the front. Ghost braking is a real thing and happens more often than I’m comfortable with. I’m convinced that if I die at work it will be because my truck hits the brakes on its own and a coil will flatten me.
    2. Get rid of the speed limiters on the trucks. If not, at least set them to where we can maintain with the traffic flow. We are a road hazard in most instances. Our equipment causes traffic backups and bottlenecks because we are unable to keep a consistent speed. Before I came here I had a triple digit glider kit truck. That doesn’t mean that I drove it that fast, it just meant that I was able to have the power necessary to safely meet the conditions as they were presented. In 7 years I have never felt fully safe in TMC equipment because of this lack of power and ability.

I dont feel like I am in control of the truck when it brakes on its own because it thinks something is happening. I am a safe and defensive driver and this thing makes me feel unsafe.

ABSOLUTELY!!! The worst is when someone exits ahead of you and the truck doesn’t recognize it, then SLAMS the brakes in the middle of the interstate for no reason!

@@rbbeac Happens all the time. I love this company but if this doesn't get fixed I may have to do something else. I would think they would be concerned about this.
