- Thanks Jon for being such a good sport! We gave him about a 5 minute warning before we began filming, so kudos to him. Jon was on his final day of the entire training program and was in for his last road evaluation.
Congratulations Jon. You and I both graduated at the same CDL school in which I was in the class behind your class.
Currently in CDL school, and we're expecting a TMC recruiter to come out to talk to us fairly son. Definitely looking forward to seeing what they have to say!
Congrats. I'm looking into TMC at this moment. I always had my eye on this company since trucking school 10 years ago
As I’m just going to be starting out next week with a company training program, it’s great to see a video like this. BTW - your company trucks are always looking good.
Congratulations, I am scheduled to take my permit test next month. I am very interested in TMC. I love to be busy, be active. I have been practicing the physical part of it. I had two jobs and no longer work for one so I can study more for my permit test. I am taking a risk of a lifetime to fulfill my dream of the open road.
I can’t wait to drive for TMC. Filling out the info tonight. Can’t wait to join the team.
I was there in January of 1998. Had my license and went through lots of training. Excellent job and training program. You still do the tough right turn downtown by the underpass? You work hard for them, they reward you. Not easy but worthwhile.
Thanks for the kind words, Dean. Take care!
Looking forward to being part of the TMC family and starting training on Sept 20th.
Good job driving and great looking trucks!
Congrats man been doing this 18 months an 13 months at tmc
Just got my cdl a license but I have no experience. Do tmc hire new cdl driver and how much do they pay?
Congrats I’m in the CDL school Troops into Transportation right now should finish next week hope to be driving myself
Wow they’re still going strong huh? I got out and went through that school November/December 2014.
@@mattmckay2280 oh yeah they are opening up like 4 more areas
@Hickster73 how did you like Troops Into Transportation?
@@OSheaShenanigans easy and thorough well worth it highly recommended
@@ehickey73 awesome! I start Feb 14th!
Congratulations j
I wish we had such companies in Canada
Does TMC offer training in manual trucks?
I already work with a truck in Brazil and I have a logistics course, is there any possibility for the company to hire an immigrant?
I have alot on side of my truck. Including my handle
I want to work for this company.
Automatics now?
Does TMC still put the candidates in the 13 speed simulator during orientation?
Following
Talked to a rep the other day, was planning to go here but wanted to make sure upon graduation I could get a manual Eaton fuller. They no longer have manuals. All autos.
@@bakersk8r611 Sigh this is what I was worried about it isn't that I'd like to drive a manual truck but If I go to this company will have the option to train and test out of a manual truck so not to have the automatic restriction. I would go to a college near me but most don't offer it anymore or they only train in automatics now as well.
Unfortunately trucking went automatic.
I wanna do this but Im sure the tuition is expensive
No manuals?
So do you not test out with DOT?
I was thinking about going to TMC. But after hearing how the instructors are in orientation, ill look for something else. When you have drivers quitting during orientation, to me thats a red flag.
I'm a truck driver I have been applying but I don't the good link or phone number to call I'm a nigerian
Why does TMC do a road test after being with a trainer otr 🤷♂️
Not getting on the right lane on a left turn would an automatic fail on Road Test at School where I got my CDL
He's testing for tmc not to get his license
I was planning on going to tmc until a rep told me the other day that manuals were out and the company has only automatic transmissions. God damn shame. I will not be attending
We do still have some sticks, but if you're looking for companies with no autos, you're about outta luck. Manuals are a quickly dying breed and pretty much special order these days. There are very, very few orders being placed anymore for manuals so the manufacturers are moving away from them except for special applications.
I wasn’t looking for companies with no autos. But I emailed a recruiter to see if I would be able to Train and then also get a manual transmission Pete and he said that you guys don’t train with manuals anymore. I would love to work for you guys and the opportunity to learn everything you guys have to offer especially when it comes to hauling flatbed but if there’s a significant chance that I would be stuck with an automatic transmission when I get my cdl whether I go to tmc to get my cdl or get my cdl out here in ny and then go to tmc I may have to rethink my direction.
Signed his name like Peter Griffin..... took a minute or so
So would i be training on automatics or manuals? i really want to join the company?
Most companies are upgrading to automatic’s now 💪🏾 even the trainer’s truck
@@carlgriggs688 crazy.. we share the same last name. So I'm taking that as a sign to get my behind in school.
No more gear shifters 😢
Now it's no fun, no different than driving a car
Ole goggles. Good guy worked with him at BJ services
No manuals takes all the fun and desire away from driving trucks
Why can’t you be a recruiter. You have the people skills. Teach Michael?
Do the driver that go home everyday get there own truck
Another road test AFTER getting your CDL.😢😭
P&S do better flatbed then TMC and they pay More .
SMH 👎
Congratulations brother! I’m just waiting on a call back for hire everything should be up to par. I love that feeling another chapter closed as another begins.🥲
