This is one unique concert. I love the setup of it all. The band is performing on a barge to a lot of people watching them from the waters and afar. Thats really cool.
One more note: I really really appreciated the background singer's performance on this one. Simply the best, and brought a certain "climax" feeling to the music before the solo.
haro82 I am one of those background singers. Although some Floyd purists like you may not like the way we danced and sang, it was not only the '80s, this song is really fun to dance to and we ALL had great fun. Enough with the British misery. This song is about rebelling against conformity. I've heard David has written about this tour going "over the top", but I still had an amazing time doing it!
@@loreleimcbroom328 You all killed it :)) the little vocal improvisations that gave a unique splash to a section of the song I skip when listening to the record
Guy Pratt found a way to light the song on fire without missing the groove and leaving space for the band to shine. So good.
That Guy Pratt bass line transition between Dave and Renwick is the raddest thing in this version. Was never topped again.
"David Gilmour can do more with one note than most guitar players can do with the whole fretboard." ~ Dave Mustaine
Tim Renwick with a fantastic second solo there
Best guitar solo version of this song
Best version ever.
Great show! I wasn't there, my boat sank
Patrimonio dell'Umanità!
Oh my god! This bass player!
Brilliant performance
Malditas melodías que salían de cada instrumento y conformaron una gran canción inigualable

Thank you for bringing so much joy through your talent! By the way, the best vocals I ever heard for a live version of this music

Did they bring on tour a whole children's choir just for the part at 1:23?

Great performance other than the background singers. Everyone did that in the 80s. Very unFloyd like though.
