Nancy, I so want to thank you for this video, you have no idea how much it has helped me…..I am a totally visual learner and have a spatially impaired brain! It has taken me most of the day to watch you over and over again to make sure I turned the needles right and have the yarn going in the right direction. Not real sure about which yarn to start with to join in the round yet and to keep the front and back in the right position, but I’ll get it eventually!
Thank you, Nancy! I've seen cast on videos before but never how to join and do the first round for 2 at a time socks. I think I'm ready to give it a try!
Thank you Nancy Your videos are ones of the best. I would like to see from start to finish tutorial on 2 at time for cuff down. I never understood the process until seeing your videos. Again thanks.
Janice Best-Nesbitt Hi Janice and thank you for your thoughtful comments. If I understand you correctly, you would like me to make cuff down socks, 2 at a time from beginning to end? If that’s the case, you’ll be happy to know that I’m doing just that. I’m also making hats, thrummed mittens, baby booties and sweaters. I hope you’ll find them helpful. I should have some of them out within the month. 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Nancy. I see your finished product, the heel looks like the one I am familiar with. How do you work the short row heel when doing 2 at a time magic loop?
Polly Deal Hi Polly and thank you for your comment. Whenever I work 2 at a time socks, I always cheat when working the heel by placing one of them on a spare set of needles. Once they are done, I’m home free straight to the toes!👍
ok. I am sooooooo confused every magic loop video I have seen shows pulling your top needle long not the bottom needle is this just something you do because you are doing two at a time?
I think it has to do with the cast on you use because you need to pull the needle that has the yarn coming from it - regardless of which needle is bottom or top. Does that make sense or did I confuse you more???

Lovely video ❤️
To straighten out your cables put them in hot water and let them uncoil. But just the cables, not the needles.
