Every so often I search for crown Vic swap videos and this time yours popped up. One of the better vids I’ve stumbled upon. I’m swapping my 1969 Dodge Sweptline long bed onto a 2008 CVPI. I am keeping it a longbed so I had to stretch the vic frame 14”. Figured out the new length of the driveshaft would be 69”, so I’m using a 06 Yukon xl driveshaft with the appropriate conversion U-joints. Also went with a 1987 full size bronco 33 gallon fuel tank. The 19 gallon vic tank or the commonly used 69 mustang wouldn’t cut it for my intentions of multi state road trips when it’s finished. I’ll definitely watch your vids & subscribe for more ideas. 👍
@@michael-michaelmotorcycle Man that sounds like a sick rig. We have one more CV to use on something and have been jugging ideas. If we do another truck it will definitely be a long bed. Thanks for the comment and for building stuff 👍🏼
This brings back memories of when we crown vic swapped dad's 77 f100 freewheeling short bed. That was in 2017, and it has been super reliable ever since.
@@f100_slammedbetty 3409 Kelli CT, Ft worth texas, 76106. They have a single building that only does driveshafts. Thats where Howard is. Says drivelines across the front. The one in Denton is really good also, ft worth is just closer to us
Turned out great, to bad you lost the frame shortening video, i just shortened the frame and bed on my 55 Chevy Truck last week if your interested UA-cam channel (Desert Rat Fabrication) 😁😁
@@DesertRatFabrication it was pretty epic. We thought we had everything setup and braced. We didnt account for the weight shift however and the whole rear section launched into orbit like an astronaut 😂😂 legit one of the funniest things Ive ever seen
@@MuggCustoms oh that is so awesome, I know I made the comment when I was doing mine about blocking the front end so it wouldn’t flip up and land in the driveway, lol

It was a good day! You got work done! What general area of Texas do you reside?
Thank you! We are about 20 miles north west of ft worth
@@MuggCustoms Sweet! I used to have a farm West of Weatherford. I'm close to Lake Fork now.
I made a 3inch extension on the front of the bed on mine so the rear wheels will be centered
I also had a short bed to start with
@@wadetomes9265 very smart!
