    That road was so beautiful! The first time I went to Japan, I was just captivated by the mountains - I took way too many pictures, and yet none of them were able reflect the reality! I feel like there is nothing that can even come close to that, and that's coming from someone who's been to the Alps many times :) Thank you for sharing that with us!

      When I eventually make it to Japan, I don't really want to see Tokyo so much. I want to see views like that. Beautiful mountains and temples and quirky convenience stores sitting in old style buildings.

      +Animelily Great idea! Tokyo is fun, but the best parts of Japan are actually out of the big city and in places like this :)

おさるさんのThis …is UA-camr…の呟きと、ちかさんのピョンピョン走りが微笑ましく思いました。

    You can show that traditional Japanese house over the connivence store in 10 videos and I'd look forward to 11th time. And if your only going to have one restaurant in the area, can't beat that view of the valley with glass paneled balcony! Enjoyed the mountain road too.

    During our last vacation in Japan we spent about 4 days in Nagasaki. We visited Glover Gardens (a random local resident actually took us on an impromptu tour!), the bomb museum, and Inasa-yama. Plus plenty of great restaurants and just wandering the streets checking out the local shops. It's a beautiful city and definitely one of the highlights of our last trip.

    I think, that's what I like about Japan the most: the beautiful country side away from the city. I've visited Japan several times and I'm stunned every time how beautiful nature is in Japan, as if has something extra you don't find anywhere else.

    Visiting family is awesome. It's always good to catch up and visit with aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I have a huge family, many that are not in Texas. It's amazing how the flight from my home in south Texas to Houston is about 1.5 hours and I'm still in the same state. As for the the town that your family live in, it's nice and quaint. I'd prefer that over a city like Tokyo. But of the whole video, THAT VIEW! It was amazing.

    The hilly Japanese countryside is so beautiful, even in winter! About your marriage preparations, though, I'm curious, Chika: were your registration requirements complicated by the fact that you lived in the U.S. for a number of years when you were younger, or do all Japanese couples have to travel so much in preparing to marry?

    • @japanagos
      @japanagos  8 років тому

      +Robert Ryan The family register is something we all have to have when submitting our marriage registration regardless of whether you've lived abroad or not. You can ask for it to be mailed to you so you don't have to travel at all, but we wanted to be married on November 1st (all 1's) and realized my family register was in Nagasaki just a few days before lol So we said hey, let's just go for the weekend and make a trip out of it :) Shows how prepared we were lol
