@@NovaLeeTV I believe it did change a bit at that time. I think it's more of a case of, Grian is as good a visual designer as they have working at Mojang, but then again, they are known for watching content creators and listening to their input, and Grian is truly an artist.

For some insight on Calcite and Tuff:
Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). The Mohs scale of mineral hardness, based on scratch hardness comparison, defines value 3 as "calcite". Other polymorphs of calcium carbonate are the minerals aragonite and vaterite. Aragonite will change to calcite over timescales of days or less at temperatures exceeding 300 °C, and vaterite is even less stable.
Tuff is a type of rock made of volcanic ash ejected from a vent during a volcanic eruption. Following ejection and deposition, the ash is lithified into a solid rock. Rock that contains greater than 75% ash is considered tuff, while rock containing 25% to 75% ash is described as tuffaceous.

Imagine if Lightning Rods can become weathered. An already incredible decoration getting 3 more colors would be AMAZING.
I feel like that would just be overkill
We cant exactly have weathering for everything that is made with copper, it pulls away from the uniqueness of the feature

@@ishaan8824 i disagree as its all made from copper so it wont pull away from the uniqueness of this mechanic. Infact it could add more uniqueness by having lightning effect the weathering/oxidation of the copper and the more weathered the less effective it is at attracting the lightning. netherite items float on lava because the material follows certain rules and copper should do the same with all blocks that is pure copper.

Calcite doesn't look as bad as diorite, it doesn't have quite the same grainy look to it that makes it bad. One of the main bad things about it is that the contrasted texture draws your eye and isn't smooth enough, this is basically like a smoothened version.

VERY IMPORTANT:
There are Waxed versions of the first 3 stages of the Copper Block. What this means is that they don't weather anymore. This would save builders the thought of having to replace expensive Copper Blocks in their builds.

The budding amythest was actually confirmed to not be obtainable in survival, and you can’t push them with pistons or anything. Thanks for all these cool ideas! Keep up the great work, and make sure to take care of yourself as well.

Every single update for ten years ever since I was a kid I have always wanted to be able to put lava in a cauldron.
Every single update I tried to put the hot liquid into a cauldron.
But, every single update, I failed.

I just realized that we can make crazy mob farms out of the Tinted glass, as tinted glass doesn't let light through we dont need to make omega huge roofs over mob farms
you will still need huge roofs over the farm, the tinted glass is just like a normal block that is see though.
@@jimmyaveragetoes bro tinted glass prevents light from passing through it .. We used to make roofs to bring the light level under 7..correct me if I am wrong
@@r3coil984 you are right^^ but also wrong :D u can already just close your farm off in a box, normal blocks or tinted glass doesnt mather unless you want it to be see through :) the roof just takes way less blocks

You just got unlucky with that worldspawn. Normally there's tons.
The amethysts themselves are a bit too common, but the blocks surrounding them aren't common enough. We need a significantly higher wall of these blocks around them per cluster, but for the geodes to be a slight bit rarer. You can see like 10 in any given spot in your world, which is kinda nuts considering it's meant to be a stationary farm. I thought there'd be like 1 every thousand blocks or so, not 1 within arms reach no matter where I was.
This is a snapshot. They purposely made them this common to make it easier to find them. I’m sure they’ll balance it in the end

I think that's so people can easily find and explore them without having to physically search for them. It could also be so that it's easier for players to find bugs relating to the geodes. They'll probably change it in the future once people had enough time to learn about them.
@@brysonsirus7747 I'm sure, but at the same time, it's important to say how common they should be right now in the early snapshots so they're more willing to change things.

At first I thought that would be the only use, because I figured if you use it elsewhere you'll just turn your base into a dark Mob farm, but seeing how Grian used it, it's actually really cool love the atmosphere.
