- Many customers have asked us what the difference is between the Fleetwood Standard DeVille and the DeVille SQ. In this video Jonathan explains, and shows them side by side.
Just read the glowing Stereophile review of this beauty and I came to this conclusion about OMA and Fleetwood Sound.
This is audio for grown up´s if that makes sense, no flash bang wallop just thoughtfull design and engineering using the very best natural materials to create music naturally with no artificial sweetners or enhancements.
Thank goodness there are still companies around that offer integrity on all levels of their business!

I love designing speakers but I don't make cabinets like anyone else I know and that's what makes them sound so special and that's what I like about your speakers they are different than most designs

Well, like this large stand mounted monitor idea but would’ve likely used a horn with a wider pattern to match the midwoofer and ditched the iron core inductor in at least the SQ version (or both). Jonathan is a good spokesman.
The crossover quality is the key.

Your speakers look amazing in the inside as well. A quick question please. That divider in SQ cabinet looks like a plywood. Are you using a solid Pennsylvania ash wood for the divider in your late speakers?

I love hearing Jonathan talk about hifi. There's something exceptional about someone who has clearly found precisely what they're supposed to be doing and then does it to the highest level.
@@edwardbalboa5528 idk my comment was about Jonathan's enthusiasm specifically not the sound of the speakers. Scientific data isn't generally something I'm looking at though when it comes to a piece of art- which in my opinion OMA seems to have crossed over from "speaker design" to true functional art.

Silver is technically understandable but considering that in on a scale of 0 to 100, silver ranks 100, with copper at 97 and gold at 76, what is the real advantage of having gold in wires?
marketing. the crossovers are all the same but use a different color foil and people will think they hear a difference. also pay for it. silver vs gold.. really...

What the crossovers for the 2 way if you can mention till where is the woofer and thereafter. What size is the woofer
it is an 8 inch B&C 8NDL51 italian made , also used in NEXO PS8 , the compression driver it's a B&C also ( judging by the size , looks like a DE10 )

If you prefer to stay inside and listen to speakers then go to a bar, club, movie, arcade, concert, traveling vacations, or any of the regular things the majority of people in the United States take part in, then you could pay it back within a few years 😂. That’s why they say audiophiles are crazy.

A foot of silver-and-gold wire won't help. Just "reasons" the price. Two-free times more thick copper wire would work better. Audiofiliacs are so maniacs...

Looks like B&C Speakers DE110 compression driver and 8NDLL51 woofers. Of course it is far less simple than just selecting drivers. It's mostly about the execution of the total package.
