Southwick Session

I headed to Southwick - an unusual venue for me to fish. The plan was primarily to target bream but also maybe a hound or a ray. Baits were rag and sandeels. It was a glorious evening to be on the beach, that's for sure.

A memorable last cast years ago I remember throwing on a load of dying ragworm on a two hook flapper at Lahinch beach in Ireland , just hooked them on like maggots or garden worms, just a total mess lol no bait needle or bait stops. Etc i caught a double of bass one around 4lbs the other around 8
If your self and your partner decide to fish in Ireland this summer autumn, the Shannon Estuary is full of thornback ray this year and the tope marks and spurdogs are epic too

Gem its a pitty your wife is camera shy and dont fish, it would have made a great video, competition between you both, the loser makes the supper when you both return home😊😊 , another blank, thats fishing for you, never mind Gem theres always another tide
