Wow, living full time on a sailboat sure has its dirty, hot, and dusty realities, but it's clear that you guys are absolutely loving it! The extra effort required seems totally worth it when you're able to experience these incredible adventures. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude are infectious, and I can't wait to follow along on your journey!
Thanks guys. It’s sometimes hard to convey and we don’t ever wish to be ungrateful but there are certainly times when we haven’t loved it. It really has its challenges and ups and downs but ultimately is very rewarding. You just have to be ready to adjust your plans to maintain the enjoyment, hence we’re heading back north this coming season to spend more time with family ⛵️😊
Hey guys! I just found your channel, watched this video and subscribed. Great content and filming. My wife and I sail in Mexico on the Pacific side. We too are retired. Thanks again for great videos! Be safe!
I so want to be there. 🙂It's great to see a 'real world' channel. Some good boat handling there too. Oh for a bow thruster 🙂I reckon a furler might work with that big pink (it would need a stay wire fitting), worth finding out? It would be in and out faster than your genny. It's transformed our Dehler 36 for light wind sailing. We leave ours up at times.
Thanks for your comment 😊 Intrepid Bear handles like a long keel boat astern so I’m very grateful for the bow thruster at times! Would love to get the big pink on a furler but have looked into it and it’s not cheap so we can’t afford it right now but one day if we’re lucky 🤞🏼😊⛵️
Thanks Rachel. It’s not as certain as sometimes it looks and it’s massively different for every personality and circumstance (could probably write quite a lot on this!) but jumping in to azure blue seas it sure feels worth it in that moment 😍⛵️
Thanks for the nice video guys.We always look forward to watching your travels. Good to hear you managed to get a 6 month tourist visa for France...did you have any issues getting it? Nice to see your provisioning run was easy and plentiful , hopefully while in France it remains that way! Cheers from PM ...Nige and Donna.
Hi guys, thanks for your comment 😊 There was a lot of paperwork we had to put together for the French visa but there were no major issues getting it. The main challenge with it is that you have to apply in your home country and they keep your passport while processing which can take 14 working days. Fortunately we went home for a family wedding anyway so it fitted with that. And yes provisioning in France was plentiful especially having not long left Montenegro where some things are harder to find as I’m sure you’ve discovered. Cheers 😊⛵️
Thanks guys! That’s part of the reason we’re heading home. Would love to do Scotland. Not so sure about the constant battering the U.K. seems to be getting at the moment but I agree there’s something to be said for colder climates. When it’s cold you can put more clothing on but when it’s too hot and you’re already in very little there’s not much more you can do! Hot is great if all you need to do is lie around and drink cold beer on holiday but not so great when you gotta live a day to day life. Will miss the warmer evenings and winter climate of the Med but will enjoy a cooler summer we hope. Might see you on the water one day 😊⛵️🍺
Ah - Gotcha - It looked quite familiar - they were stuck in the S. Pacific somewhere during Covid and a friend there was reworking a boat the reminds me of yours. Thank you for the reply - Have a safe and blessed year. Jack - Texas. @@FollowIntrepidBear

Hi there…thank you for you kind words. Great to hear from sailors across the world ⛵️🌎
Great video. Easy and delicious recipie. I think worst part of cruising is the reprovisioning, I always feet like a pack mule ha ha.
Haha! Thank you Jim…yes I have used the term pack mule on many shopping trips! 😊

That looks like paradise compared with a winter’s day in the U.K.!! 😢
I think most things look like paradise compared to a grim U.K. winter day. We’ll pop back this year to remind ourselves 😬❄️⛈️💨🇬🇧😂
Seems it's hot and sweaty or cold and wet living on a boat 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣We're in the cold and wet part in beautiful Scotland and we prefer it. Safe travels.

Did I see you on Gone With the Wynns during Covid? I think I recognize your keel...🤔
Hi there…no not us on gone with the Wynns I’m afraid. We were in the U.K. Must have been a similar keel 😊⛵️

We weren’t planning on doing merchandise but I can now see this on hats, mugs and t shirts! We’ll give you a cut of the profits! 😉😂😂
Great vids. What makes is Intrepid Bear?
Thank you 😊 Intrepid Bear is a Najad 391, a Swedish built boat 😊
