Any advice on getting thrm paired up? I have what I think os a pair. I started woth four amd one died. These teo seemingly had no interest in each other until one was removed. They stayed away from each other in QT. Now in ky DT they stay next to esch other maybe 40 percent of the time. Would this be indicative of a pair? Theyvare still relatively young maybe 1.4 inch long.
I found it very difficult to transition them to frozen food and keep them alive long term after stopping bbs. Good luck, some people seem to have moderate success with them but there is obviously a reason no one outside of Indo is breeding them in large numbers. I'm focused on clownfish now but as my production increases will hopefully have some new species in 2024.
@@captivebredcanada thank you, I'm in Vietnam and I got interested in this mainly I want people in my country have good fish swimming around in their tank and also because my country is very strict in import or exporting fish, still I'm learning and hopefully can be like you 😂 have a great day
My pair of Bangaii just had babies this morning. I have a floating quarantine cube and I’ve got 3 babies in it. I don’t know what to do past that. Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏🏼
@@micahhowell4432 have you started hatching baby brine shrimp? You need them asap otherwise you can try small copepods but they may be too big. They’re a real challenge to get eating anything dead so just have tons of teeny tiny live foods available.
Baby brine, various copepods, attempt frozen / tdo. They are too big for rotifers. I've given up on banggai's due to low yields and difficult transition to frozen food. Focused on clownfish but hope to work with other species in the near future.

Great job! I'd love to purchase some of your captive bred fishes.
Focusing on clownfish - banggai are just so much harder to scale up but I sell my fish wholesale.
@@captivebredcanada Nice. You should try producing some hybrid clownfishes. Everyone is doing those designer clowns.
Nice 👍🏻
Keep up the good work! :)
thanks!
what do you feed the fry

Sweet 👍
Will PJ Cardinals breed in captivity?
Yes they are available as captive bred. They do have a larval stage though.
Hi...I'm from Asia. I've been trying to breed bangal but never successful 😣😣😣😣Can I learn from you🙏
If you have any questions let me know but I think I explained everything I do in the video.
How do you tell gender?
Males have 2 vents, females 1. Feed heavily then examine.
What is the breeding age of bangai cardinal
Less than a year. Don’t forget they don’t live very long. My smaller pair is much smaller than my wild ones.
