  • The Turkic people are known to have been followers of Tengri, the supreme sky god, in the past. But after the fall of the mighty Göktürk Empire, more and more Turks joined other religions. From the Uyghurs who converted to Manicheism and the Khazars who became Jewish to the Karakhanids who were the first Turkic people to become Muslim, it seems that the Turkic world tried out many religions before finally settling on Islam by the 15th century. In this episode, we are going to explain this conversion process and analyze the factors and motivations for seemingly leaving Tengrism behind.

@@sickturret3587 You say that Allah is not in the sky but then why did Muhammed need to ride on the burak to UP to heaven to see him? Also the jinns listen in on Allah's gossip with the angels IN HEAVEN and he pelts them with stars (not meteors lol) which would scientifically occur in the earth's atmosphere because that's where we see "shooting stars". These strongly point to Allah being in the sky more than anywhere else.

@@itachi7285 why did the last prophet who had the power to split the moon in half and make it like it was again needed to ride a mount that had the face of a man but the the body of a horse/camel with wings you ask? i am not sure but most reasonable answer is; it never happened. if you can split the moon for giggles and when you have to go the sky, you had to be riding buraq for a trip to sky in a feverish dream and no one else is watching, i call it bs.
ps: i thought allah stated that gossip was a sin: why is it gossiping with angels?
ps 2: the core of the name 'allah' is debatable it could be al-ilah which means "the god" or could be derived from elohim, a moon god in that period who had three daughtrtd and the arabs used to believe in all. the later might explain why there are three pillars inside the q'aba or why muslims follow a calender based on moon and it changes every year. but as i said, up to debate.

@@sickturret3587 Yes Muhammed stole the burak, wudhu, the night journey and praying 5 times a day from the Zoroastrians. The story of their night journey is very similar and predates even Judaism. Ironically in the quran it says that Muslims only need to pray 3 times, not 5. Also, there is no evidence anywhere (historic or modern) that the moon has been split.
Indeed gossiping is haram...apparently he's telling the angels who's going to do what. Even funnier is that he's the one who decides and makes people do what they do (and he's going to bbq them for doing what he made them do) so what's the whole point of his 'test'?
Interesting to point out Allah's name. He was a Nabatean pagan god and the highest ranked in the pantheon of many gods. Like you said he had 3 daughters Allat, Al-Manat and Al-Uzzat and these 3 daughters made it into the satanic verses because apparently Muhammed can't tell the difference between the Shaitan and Jibril. I'm not sure if he was the moon god but I remember there was a hadith that when the pagans had asked Muhammed which of the gods he worshipped he just pointed up at the sky. The point of the other lesser gods was that beleivers used to pray to them to have them intercede on their behalf to Allah for help and get his blessing and their prayers answered. All Muhammed did was replace these lesser gods with himself as the intercessor.
And they claim he is the same god as the Christians and the Jews. The Christians and Jews worship Yahweh, a Canaanite pagan god who had a female consort named Asherah. Like Islam he was repurposed to be one god and the Christians added Jesus to the mix to make a trinity of one god. This is also why they did not partake in the hajj even though they also beleived in Ibrahim and lived in the vicinity of Mekka and Madinah because it was so pagan. In fact even the sahabah of Muhammed were complaining about why they still had to practice pagan rituals and questioned if it was a sin to do them (such as running between safa and marwa and kissing the black stone). The pagans used to worship rocks and build temples around it and that's why there are around 26 Kaabas in the Arabian peninsula. They all looked the same (width and height and built with or over a holy stone like Meccan black stone).
Sahih al-Bukhari 4376, 4377: Abu Raja said, “Narrated Abu Raja Al-Utaridi: We used to worship stones, and when we found a better stone than the first one, we would throw the first one and take the latter, but if we could not get a stone then we would collect some earth (i.e. soil) and then bring a sheep and milk that sheep over it, and perform the Tawaf around it. When the month of Rajab came, we used (to stop the military actions), calling this month the iron remover, for we used to remove and throw away the iron parts of every spear and arrow in the month of Rajab..."

Some of the Slavic Bulgarian proponents of the Native Faith in Bulgaria identify themselves with the descendants of the Turks-Bulgars and revive Tengrism. They are incorporated into the "Tangra Warriors Movement" (Bulgarian: Движение "Воини на Тангра").[61][80]
The Bulgars named a large mountain in the Rila mountain range after Tangra, although it was renamed in the 15th century to Musala("Mountain of Allah") by the Ottoman Turks.

Tengrism was a monotheistic religion. They were no pagans. Thats why when Turks met muslims for the first time they recognised Islam as truth because they already knew what monotheism is.
It is also mentioned in Quran that once upon a time in every nation's history Allah sent messengers.
And Turks never had immoral religious practices in their religion unlike other pagans. For example, Turks never made idols for Tengri. Even though they consider some things sacred like wolves. They never worshipped this stuff as deities.

monotheism is not modernity. and tengrizm is definitely not monotheistic. and there were idols (mostly for umay at yurts). tengrizm and islam (a derivation from egyptian god aten) has nothing in similar.
and in no known culture people worship to animals. some gods have totem animals (like jackals, cats, cows, hawks for egyptian pantheon), some other religions have semi sacred or special creatures like spiders and cats in islam, pigeon for christianity, or a-sacred ones like pig and dog in islam. non of them perceived as gods or anything.

It might have been expected that these different ruling dynasties, Ghaznavid, Qarakhanid, and Seljuq, would have brought a new lingua-franca to the Middle East in the eleventh century. They did, after all, speak mutually intelligible forms of Turkic; and this was the beginning of what would turn into almost a millennium of Turkish rule, as witness the Arabic proverb cited by the North African analytic historian Ibn Khaldun of the fourteenth century:
dawlah 'ind al-turk, din 'ind al-'arab wa adab 'ind al-furs

Tengri has no prayer houses, no prophets, and no religious book. Tengri's book is nature: trees, water, wind, sky, universe... "Tengri" means "Sky God," but that's not entirely accurate. Tengri actually means "Universe." Everything that exists in the universe is controlled by him. When you look at the sky at night, you see the dark matter. In this dark matter are all the planets, moons, stars, Earth, the sun, etc. - everything is part of Tengri, the dark matter. Tengri doesn't need prayers from people; he's not dependent on them. He's also not dependent on animals. Tengri is a great artist who creates everything and destroys it through a black hole to recreate it elsewhere in parallel worlds. To understand Tengri, you must look within yourself. Tengri neither punishes the evil nor rewards the good; he is satisfied with his art. @@satyamindnectar7052

It's the same everywhere. First, few muslims migrate n u see a few converts here and there and local people get interested in how muslims pray and what they believe in. Then Islam integrates into the local culture as if both are the same. Slowly over centuries majority of people convert due to economic benefits of being a Muslim ( benefits given by proselytising elite muslims) and because they see no big difference between local n islamic culture n language. Wen muslims are in majority, suddenly everyone has to convert to Islam by force. Now the local beliefs are haram and should not be spoken of. No one knows their true origins. Mission accomplished.

Our numbers are increasing very strongly in Türkiye and Central Asia!.
Tengrism; It is definitely monotheism. This fact is clearly seen in the Gokturk/Orkhon Inscriptions.
There is also a text saying "Tengri is one, no one should pray to anyone other than Tengri." Among the Turks and Mongols, the Khans/Hakans received power only from Tengri, whom they called KUT and saw him as the sole creator. However, in Turkish culture, this text has changed and additions have been made. Mythological beings in shamanism are derived from Tengri. It has now become a tradition among us Turks; Pouring water after setting off, tying ribbons on trees, wearing evil eye beads, visiting graves, etc., not showing the newborn child for 40 days, and mourning for the deceased for 40 days are traditions originating from the Tengri belief.
Tengri belief is now spreading rapidly in the Republic of Türkiye and has become incredibly influential in the generation Y-Z, which may reach 15-20 million in the next 20 years. Turks are abandoning the Middle Eastern religion of Islam, which was created by Arabs who viewed the world only from Palestine, Jerusalem and Mecca, and which contained incredible contradictions. Very interestingly, the number of Deists in Türkiye has approached 15 million and most of them are the children and grandchildren of Political Islamists.
Note: I think that the salvation of the world will be found in the belief in a single god, Tengri, instead of the humanized god (Jesus) who is in close contact
with people and has no prophet/intermediary. I am also a Turk who has adopted the Tengri belief.

That's what you would expect from a semi-nomadic people that valued martial prowess and strength. Conquering new lands is one thing but establishing systems of rightful governance are another. Examples of this can be seen by the Mongols too as 3/4 of the their empires successor states converted to Islam and became Turkified by their majority Turkic/Muslim inhabitants.

I think, to judge this transition effectively, one has to distance from fragments and see the outcome on a big scale over all these period of time. This way, you could see the correlation with development of global capitalism. The process was launched by the conquest of Eurasia by an orphan of temuchin whose children introduced pravislavie in the northern latitudes and the islam in southern latitudes, this way fragmenting the solid eco mentality and preparing it to further materialism and marketal conquest

I’m an Indian Muslim , had listened all these documentary completely.. From my limited knowledge I understand that , This documentary didn’t describe about the prophets of Islam ..There were no Judaism before the arrival of king Sulaiman /Solomon ..The people of king Solomon (pbuh) splitted in to two halves , one is followers of Solomon as the God as Allah and Who opposes king Solomon were Judaism .. All prophets are slaves of Almighty Allah and all religion brought the concept of monotheism of One creator not many . But most tribes mixed their culture with their religion and formed differences between among them according to region which they live ,most of the holy books destroyed by Non believers even the Thorah and Bible .. (current books were malpractices found the scholars of Christian and Jews). Then Allah given the holy verses of Holy Quran through Angel Gebreal to Prophet Muhammed (pbuh), with some laws for Human to live in peace and harmony . The life of prophet also the role model for all humankind. If you want to know what Quran says just read the books of Sirat (stories) of prophet Muabmmed Pbuh. He is the final messenger until the Last day .Read your hollybooks and come to similarities between us❤..Love you all for the sake of Allah

Wrong, Machoism is another name for Zoroastrianism, which influenced Buddhism and Hinduism a.k.a Magi-ism, while Judaism and Christianity are the Cults that are off-shooted from Israelite Monotheism, a.k.a Abrahamic Religion, while Islam claim the revival of Original Religion of Abraham, through Arabian Prophet, Muhammad a.s
Gok-Turk are actually Scythians mentioned by Herodotus of Halicarnassus, and in the Bible and Holy Qur’an as ya’Gog and ma’Gog who were Nomadic tribes who were completely fenced by iron barrier ordained and built Prophet Ba’l Qarny’im / Zhul Qarny’in - The Cyrus the Great in 600 B.C.E until the barrier was completely wrecked in 7th Century C.E during the emergence of Islam in Arabia.
Lastly, 16:28 - Mikael, Dawod, Yousuf, Israel are common Muslim names, since they also believe in the same Israelite prophets.
Hence, they would never have chosen biblical (romanized / Latinized / Hebraic) pronunciation as this video tried to portrayed them,
Their names were clearly in Arabic Vocalization, it would have been factual if those names were in Biblical name pronunciations.
But since we have notice those tribes chose Muslim names (Arabic Vocalization) is a clear indication of their conversion to Islam.

Aramaic The normal generic word for God is "alaha"/"aloho" (ܐܠܗܐ), which is linguistically related to the Hebrew word for God "elohim".
Arabic - Al - ilah / Allah = The God
    -
İbrahim's the first to claim for them & you, the forefather of Jews & Arabs. He wasn't a Jew or Arab & Believed in 1 True God, who has no Equal !!!!!!!!!
    -
The same as the Turkic people. By their Khan - Bilge Kağan / Hakan. Who first used the name for an official state, from the common word Türük, after inheriting from their forefathers, The Huns', Hun / On / Oğur / Oğuz = 10 Arrows / Tribes.
    Ök / Gök = God / Heaven / Sky / Blue + Tür = Type + ük = of the / suffix.
    Tengri / Tanrı / Tanır = Known / Recognised / God.
Gök Türük = Of The Type who have 1 True God, of / over heaven, before corruptions crept in, like the Semitics'.
Don't Delude yourself. Allah, Gök Tanrı / God over heaven, sent multiple Prophets' to all nations, as a warning. He'll never tolerate Equivalents' to himself, deal with it !!!!!!
